I was personally disappointed in this book. Hailing from the driftless region of IA, I thought that this thin book only showed a very, very small slice of what is there - I guess I wanted more. Both of my children looked through the book and said, independently of each other, "a lot of the pictures are blurry" -- they were right and these were photos I would have discarded rather than consider artistic. I love the books we do with the Center for Documentary Studies. They are always beautiful. Many of the photographs in Frazier's study of his home state are really poignant. And Frazier was truly a joy to work with. I really hope this book catches on and helps his career.
