The book "Deep" is about this big time drug dealer named Trae. He was born in Washington,DC. He was raised by a single mother name Debra but she died when he was seven years old. Debra was a single mother working 3 jobs. When she could not handle the bills she became a prostitute and she had a pimp named "Pretty Toney". Trae saw his mother die right in front of his eyes. One day Pretty Toney came to talk to Debra because he thought she stole money from him but she didn't,so he stabbed her. Every since then Trae was raised by his grandmother. His grandmother was his rock since he didn't have his mom. She taught him right from wrong and everything else.
One day Trae was coming from Ben's Chilli Bowls and he saw this pretty girl. He tried to talk to her but Karina would not give him the time of day. Usually Trae would stop trying to talk to a girl if she is playing hard to get. I guess there was something about Karina that made Trae so attracted to her and he tried so hard to get her. After a while of playing hard to get Karina and Trae finally got together. Trae wined and dined, which Karina was not use to. Karina's best friend Ashley didn't think Karina and Trae would not last long because he was a "player". Karina was really happy with Trae she wasn't used to being wined and dined this much.
Karina had finally moved in with Trae and she loved it. She loved being in a big house with her boyfriend and having all this fancy stuff. Everything was going well with these two like they were in the inseparable stage of their relationship. Trae cheated on Karina and had Sex with this girl name Courtney. Karina found out because the girl Trae cheated with sent flowers and a card to their house. When Karina read the card “from Courtney congratulating him on being a father, along with a copy of the positive test results from her doctor, and her phone number.” When Trae walked in he saw that Karina was lying on the floor in the dark. He turned on the lights and noticed that Karina’s eyes were really red. That’s how Trae knew something was definitely wrong with Karina. Trae asked what as wrong with Karina. Karina got up off the floor and started to curse and yell at Trae. After Karina calmed down Karina told Trae that this girl sent these flowers and a card attach to it saying that he has a child on the way. Trae was so shocked that Karina found that all he could do is say sorry and apologize. After They finish talking Trae asked Karina if they could try to work it out, and Karina said yes they can work it out.
Trae owned a strip club to distract the FBi's from trying to arrest him. Trae set up this big plan to still weapons from an army base. The next day the plan went down they got the armory all they needed to do is to give to the Dominicans. They were gonna meet the Dominican after the whole bust. Before they meet Trae went to the airport just in case something happens. The crew met the Dominicans in the garage everything was about to go down until the FBI came in. Everybody started shooting and everybody in the crew died except for Carmen and Kevin. Kevin is Trae's best friend and Carmen is the undercover cop that is working with Trae.
Kevin got in the car and started driving really fast. A cop hopped in a car and chased Kevin too. The police shot up Kevin's car until he knew that Kevin was dead. While Kevin was in the car he called Trae's phone to let him know that Carmen was a cop all along. When Trae got off the plane and arrived at his destination. He noticed that he had a voice mail and it was from Kevin. Trae listened to the voice mail and he knew that Kevin was right the whole time. When Trae arrived at the hotel he thought Karina was going to be there but she wasn't. He saw this note that said "Trae I can't do this no more. I didn't plan to live my life like this. I'm sorry -Karina." After a few weeks Trae deciced to turn himself in to the U.S. FBI.
Yes, I would Recommend this book to a frind. I would recommend this book to all my friends but mainly Kimani because she's in to books like these. I would recommend this book to a friend because this book is so interesting and you can learn a lesson. The lesson you can learn is not to trust everybody who crosses your path. Some people in the world today are twisted and who knows what they will do to you.

As Trae was driven off to jail, Carmen silently mouthed the words, "I still love you, brother. "

Trae was the typical hood dude that had it all. From the many women to more than enough money. Trae was so use to dealing with different women and not settling down until he met Karina. Karina didn't fall so easily for what Trae had and actually had some standards when it came to having a relationship. After awhile Karina became comfortable and instead of leaving she allowed the security Trae provided to make her stay. Courtney was beyond thirsty and Trae messed up when he dealt with her. Even though Kevin was a hot head I liked him because he held Trae down and also tried warning him. Sommone and Carmen were willing to risk their lives to help Willie. The Feds weren't playing any games and proved they'll go to any lengths to get someone off the street. Karina was a sneaky chick and her last act that got her caught up showed just how trifling she was. Things got so out of control that many lives were lost in the process. The revelation of who Trae really was spoke volumes and Willie was foul for withholding information. Karina pulled a fast one and I was mad at who she planned to spend her life with. Trae was so focused on one last job that he neglected the what ifs, which caused him to get in too deep and end up with more than he bargained for.

I think the book was interesting enough in its own right. I'm actually really surprised at the ending. I think there should be a continuation of this book so that Karina can get her rightfully due karma.Overall it was a good read.
