I would give this book a *3.5* I was a first reads goodreads winner of the book "The Thing about Dairy Farmers"I like reading books about animals. Got to say this is the very first book I have read about cows. This is a fun read. The author Natasha Metzler lives on a farm and gives us a good idea of what is it like to be a dairy farmer. Natasha has a wonderful sense of humor and shares with the readers the personalities of her cows.

My husband grew up on a dairy farm where we now live. His brother is now the eighth generation to farm the same land and, surprisingly, we live only about 15 minutes away from Tug Hill where the author farms with her husband. I am not a farmer's wife but my mother-in-law and sister-in-law are so I could relate to a LOT of what Natasha was talking about! It was a cute, fast read about the stresses, frustrations, joy and contentment that is dairy farming!

I don't think there was a single thing about this book that I didn't like.
The storytelling was grand. The illustrations were whimsical and sweet. I giggled during the funny scenes and I sighed in delight during the picturesque scenes.
All in all, a very good read. I think I'll read it again even. It was just that enjoyable.

I liked this book very much. Having grown up on a dairy farm and then married to a dairy farmer, a lot of what she writes is very true.

Natasha Metzler doesn’t have a whole list of credentials to tell you about, but she does have the incredible story of how God met her in the midst of her greatest sorrows and brought redemption.
