I have only recently begun reading zombie fiction. This one was pretty good. I liked the backstory and the main character was likeable as well. I was a bit confused by Rita...I kept trying to figure out why she was highlighted in a few chapters. Mostly the story was about Kyle and his experiences, then every 3-4 chapters, there would be an update on Rita. It was good to get a feel for what was happening in the city, but it seems kind of shoved in there just to give the main character some reason
