I didn't find this novel as gripping as some of Susan's other titles (eg, Obsession, Chasing Dreams, Dance While You Can) but Ifound it an easy read with many twists and turns and a very suprising ending (as always) and maybe even a tad insightful into what it is like to endure and move on from insurmountable grief and dispair and even the most unexpected betrayal. My heart was heavy throughout following the main characters dilemmas. I would recommend this book if you are happy with a less excit ...more

It kept me puzzling till very close to the end. I had worked out who the baddie was but not any of the reasons, so that was great.

I've read a few novels by Susan Lewis. I like her style of writing. The Mill House currently remains my favourite by her.
