"The Prince's Resistant Lover" is the story of Wyndi and Tamar.
This short story has a young waitress h, who moonlights as a hacker and a tech savvy prince, who is out to hunt her. They have a meet cute, which soon turns into banging coitus. As he discovers her identity, he questions her intentions and kidnaps her away to his kingdom. Some drama later, the book ends abruptly in a HEA.
I think this is Ms Lennox's earlier works and it shows. The plot is patchy and incongruent, the characters are very bipolar and the end is dissatisfying.
Read her other books for a better experience!

Not a bad read but...
While the plot has some good points, I wasn't really fond of the characters, or the way that their relationship developed, or even the story itself. "I refuse to have dinner with you but I'll sleep with you even though you're kinda forcing yourself on me. And oh, I'll still sleep with you even as you abduct me to another country while I'm sleeping, because you think I'm stealing information and selling it to your enemies and didn't even bother to wake me up and ask me first. And in the end, I'll agree to marry you - don't worry, it's not Stockholm syndrome - some might see it that way because you've held me captive in a country not my own for a week while interrogating me every day and sneaking into my bed every night, but I'm just really in love with you because when you finally listened to what I had to say you helped me find my brother." I might have even been okay with all of this if the characters had been a bit less fictitious. He takes over completely within a few hours of meeting her and she's supposed to be this strong, smart, independent woman. Again, not the worst thing I've ever read, but nowhere close to some of the good ones.

The prince resistant lover had a great plot hell the bloody plot was great but the delivery was shit, it was so bland, emotion-less and not captivating. Personally I felt like the outside person viewing this story from the outside window. This novel was a huge let down, it had the right story plot but there was no connection between the characters to me the reader, hell there was not emotional connection between the characters, the story was rushed therefore making it bland and less captivating and personally I do not feel the need for the reunion novel to continue into a series when it could have been done it one novel with a novella or a a continue novel with the brothers POV and with him maybe falling in love

There was a reference on Tamar in two other books of this author: The Sheik's Defiant Fiancée and The Tycoon's Make-Believe Fiancée. As i was reading about him in the other books i knew that his love story would be interesting to read and i'm glad i finally got the chance to read it. Who would have thought though that Tamar would date a hacker!!!

I wanted more form this book and it actually delivered from what I read in the sample.
But why there was no background on Tamar and his duties and why no grand celebration for the marriage of a prince is a mystery, it would have given a glimpse into their lives together post marriage and then the book abruptly ended 😒.

Totally Enjoyable
This short but very engaging tale of the, "Prince's Resistant Lover" was filled with an irresistible passion as the two main characters came together. The Prince while looking for a hacker only to discover his soul mate along the way.

I read "The Tycoons Make-Believe Fiance" before this and it begins with Tamar and Wyndi exactly where this book leaves off.

The story had promise but it wound up being silly. Tamar (a middle eastern prince) is trying to find the hacker who has infiltrated his companies databases, it leads him to a diner in a working class area where he meets Wyndi. Wyndi is the hacker but she's not looking to steal company secrets, she wants to find her brother whom she was separated from after their parents died. Lets stop right here. In the technological age, why would she hack into random international companies trying to find employees with the same name as her brother? A Google search will find someone as long as they're not actively trying to hide their identity.
He asks her to dinner, she says no. He shows up at her apartment, she says no again. He says Aw come on, she says ok. After dinner they have sex and he leaves in the morning because she's so beautiful he can't stand to wake her. He shows up later, she's mad and tells him to go away, he says aw come on lets have sex, she says ok. (Alright, I'm being snarking and paraphrasing but it is how it happened)
By the way she was a virgin. Yep. And she's the best he's ever had too.
He gets up in the middle of the night sees her laptop figures out she's the hacker and is enraged. He picks her up out of bed, carries to his limo, takes her to the airport, puts her on a bed on his private plane and takes off for his country where he plans to hold her until she confesses her criminal sins. She doesn't wake up until they are well into the flight.
I'm going to pause and let that hang out there for a minute.
Does she tell him what she's been doing hacking around his company and put and end to the misunderstandings? No, how dare he not trust her when she let him pop her cherry so she's not going to tell him anything. Neener, neener, so there!
The ending speeds along from there, a week of sex at night and debating during the day leading to a teary confession of the reason for her hacking followed by declarations of love and a marriage proposal.

I can't, in good consciousness, like this book. The male lead just completely ruined everything for me.
When Wyndi doesn't agree to meet him for dinner, Tamar finds out her name and where she lives, and forces his way into her apartment. After spending one night together, he starts planning on taking Wyndi to live with him, because she's oh-so-fragile and doesn't belong in her own neighborhood. And he'll buy her all sorts of clothes that he wants to see her in, and on and on, all sorts of plans for what will become of Wyndi's life, without allowing her any say in the matter.
...okay. Yes, okay. He's a prince. He's used to being in control of other peoples' lives. I was willing to give the book that one.
And then he abducted her.
The book doesn't even try to make it romantic or anything. He just straight-up abducts her. Okay, he's abducting her because he believes that she's stealing and selling information that might hurt his country. But there are legal ways of dealing with hackers, Tamar.
Ways that don't include dragging sleeping, naked women to your private jet.
One short scene transition later, on the jet -
There's no mention of him dressing her before he left the apartment. And I would have assumed that she was already dressed, or that he had stopped to dress her before carrying her off, except the very next scene makes it very clear that Wyndi wasn't dressed when she fell asleep, and she still isn't dressed.
The interrogation plot line is ridiculous, but could have been used for character development, had the resolution not been so sudden and unrelated to either of the main characters. Instead, it felt like a waste of time.
I got a couple of chuckles out of the book, and the ending was sweet, but I draw the line at kidnapping sleeping, naked women.

This is a quick Romance story that involves Love, Family, and hacking. The story and plot of this novel is great. It has a good ideas to tell and good cliff hangers. She also does great giving you only little bits of information at a time.

My Biggest problem I think is the fact that it just wasn't enough. I really liked the story, but I've given it so few stars because Eliz could of went into so much detail. I might just be somebody who might not even been paying attention, but I'm not even sure where the characters are at the beginning of the story. Nor Could I figure out, even on a private hanger, how Wendi would be able to travel in a foreign country without a passport. Plus even if Tamar did kidnap her and turned her over to the authorities, she could get out because her original country could get her out for the fact she hadn't willingly gone into that country. And She didn't even freak out about the idea that she had no passport. Didn't even think about trying to find a way to escape.
I also thought everything could have been more detailed. I will say my favorite scenes that, in my opinion fit the criteria of a good book, are accomplished when Tamar is using her computer. And the Epilogue is good too, but I think that could of been more detailed as well.
I think this book could have had so much more potential. I might of read these books out of Order, but I wanted to know more about Tamar's brother. I also am curious what Wendi's brother has been up too. There better be another book for him, or continuation of Wendi's view. What I don't understand though is how Wendi's brother would have recognized her unless she looked a lot like their mother, or he'd been keeping tabs on her so he knew what she looked like. It been about 20 years, from my understanding, and she had been only 6. So this next story could be really well developed is Eliz takes a chance.

Für ein Ebook dieser Länge war es ganz okay, nur leider hört es wieder sehr abrupt mitten in der Handlung auf. Es geht hier um einen Prinzen moderner Zeit, der auf der Suche nach einem Hacker ist, der die Geschäftsdaten seiner Unternehmen durchsucht hat. Nun befürchtet er natürlich, dass diese Daten an andere Unternehmen weiter gegeben werden. So schnell wie möglich diesen Hacker zu erwischen und den Datenfluss zu unterbrechen ist daher Tamars großes Ziel.
Bei dieser Suche trifft er auf die Kellnerin Wyndi und ist von ihr gleich hin und weg. Tamar ist sehr von sich überzeugt und findet es besonders reizend, dass Wyndi so gar nicht beeindruckt von seinem Geld ist. Beide landen dann relativ schnell im Bett und Wyndi wirkt ziemlich naiv, aber das ist ja oft so bei Geschichten dieser Art. Wirklich logisch wirkt das ganze also nicht.
Es kommen noch ein zwei kleine Überraschungen und dann halt das abrupte Ende. An sich merkt man, dass die Autorin sich sehr bemüht genug Handlung um die erotischen Szenen herum zu bauen, aber so richtig überzeugen kann es leider nicht. (trotzdem noch besser als viele andere Ebooks dieser Art)
Die Erotik war sehr schön geschrieben und Tamar ist ein toller Charakter.

Tamar is looking for a hacker who's been going through his companies and government's records. At a diner his waitress is a gorgeous blond (Wyndi) whom he invites to dinner. She declines. He shows up at her apartment and instead of dinner they have a sex filled night. After their second night together he finds out that she's the hacker he's searching for. While she's asleep he kidnaps her to his country. There he interrogates her during the day and ravishes her during the night. Upon revealing the truth behind her actions (trying to find her brother) he assists her and they confess their love to each other, so cliché.
Yet another virgin who's supposed to be strong, smart and independent jumps into bed with a sheik/prince within hours of their first encounter. What is wrong with this editor? They were never introduced but somewhere down the line she knows his name. Too many content errors. I felt Wyndi's hurt about losing her brother, but overall the story is lacking.

Really?
I read the brother's story first so it was out of order. But the writing style for this book was horrible. I didn't feel like the hero was a male. He's thoughts and speech felt like what an old woman would say if she was a man. Not sure if I said that correctly but basically the characters were not believable. It was kind of cheesy with no substance. If it was cheesy alone maybe two stars but because it was cheesy, no substance, and ridiculous it gets one star.
Did I say there were several scenes were I thought space fantasy would've been a better concept. (because it was out of this world nonsense)
Read as you please but note this is just to pass time not for the enjoyment of romance.

This freebie turned out to be a nice little escape. I enjoyed a romance between a Prince and a waitress along with the other part of the plot in which she is the hacker he has been searching for.
Their romance was both sweet and passionate. The characters were developed if not extremely deep as was their backstory. Even though things clipped along there in the end, I still enjoyed the result. This one is loosely connected to The Sheik's Defiant Fiancee as Tamar is the Sheik's cousin. I'm apparently reading these backward since I just finished the one that came after this one.
All in all, it was a delightful novella-length romance that I would recommend who like lighter contemporary romance and want a shorter read.

A sweet novella, especially for a freebie. The story is about a young waitress named Wyndi who meets Prince Tamar. When he finds out she's been infiltrating the computers of his companies and his country, the romance that had been developing between the two goes awry.
A few errors, in the plot, like for example, Wyndi knowing his name is Tamar but I can't really recall him introducing himself or giving her his name... She just knew? Scenes could have been transitioned a little better since the story felt a little bit all over the place, especially in the end. But overall, I liked the interaction between the two main characters. It was kind of cliché that Wyndi was a virgin but whatever...

I'm in two minds about this story.
The writing is fine, and at the end I was happy with the story and the ending.
However, there are things in the story that for me don't add up.
He meets her in a diner, and immediately asks her out. At no point does he introduce himself, but suddenly she's calling him by name.
Their 'romance' happened very quickly, and didn't feel real.
Am I glad I read it - yes.
Was it a good price - yes, it was free.
Am I likely to read it again - probably not.
Please note there is a sequel which continues the story The Tycoon's Make-Believe Fiancée, which I read first, and continues from this book well.

Tamar is soooo corny. This was very strange for me. The grammar and spell check was extremely disappointing. This relationship was sooooo stupid. Hi I stalked you down and showed up at your house hours after meeting you. Make out with me & give me your v-card. Ooooooo kkkkk. I don't understand that. Then after a full 24-48hours after meeting Tamar who pursuits Wyndi and forces his way into her apartment and making her go to dinner etc. and basically stalks her. He decided (after going through her things) that she was after him and the betrayer and disloyal all in what 2 days. The actual basics of this were ok. But the entire thing was sloppy for me. I don't know what else to say.

To be honest, I found this story pretty silly. It's pace was just to much for what was happening in the story. It all happens in just a week or so, and

Even tho I gotta say it's plot it's perfectly fine but wrong developed in my opinion. I felt like silly things, actions and attitudes were happening most of the time and just couldn't quite understand some other, but ok, I guess I'm fine with that since I slightly enjoyed this.
It wasn't the best read but wasn't the worst either so at least I'm ok with that. Good for me it was free :)

Ehh I've enjoyed other stories from this author more. I just wasn't feeeling this one as much.
Ohh and I suggest reading this before the Tycoon's fake fiancee (might not be actually title but I'll own up to being to lazy atm to look it up) This story ends with Wyndi's pov and takes up with her brothers pov in the Tycoons book.
Anyhoo, financially challenged waitress slash 'hacker' is sorta kidnapped, seduced, and sorta interrogated by the Prince. It's a little rushed.
Got as a amazon or nook freebie can't remember right off hand. Heck knowing me I probably downloaded it to both so...Good for a free read but wasn't as good as some other stories by this author.

Wyndi has been separated from her since she was six but she never forgot him. Now she a grown woman and still searching. Working as a waitress during the day but at night using her programming skills she looks through company databases for her brother's name. Tamar has been searching for hacker thinking they are looking for information his companies or his government. Then he encounters Wyndi at the diner she works at. What he doesn't know is that she is the hacker but not for the reasons he thinks. Wyndi doesn't know that she is being tracked.

From the moment Prince Tamar laid eyes on Wyndi he know he had to have her. Wyndi seen Tamar and she was so afraid of him but she didn't understand her feelings. Being determined Tamar found her, when he saw her he couldn't resist her from the moment they touched they couldn't stop. Prince Tamar was in town to find the person hacking into his companies computers when he finds out its Wyndi he kidnaps her to make her talk. They are both conflicted. What's happens then you have to read.

Short and quick storyline but yet a sweet fairytale.
Part of a continued series of short and accelerated stories, yet all fitting together. Beautiful tales I enjoyed. These all have been free gifts from the author which she has published while also publishing her regular just about once a month new stories. I thank her for each one because they all have beautiful happy ever after. What is wrong with people writing bad reviews? These are gifts.

I did finish the book, so I almost gave it three stars because I didn't hate it. But it was oddly written, as if the author was not a native English speaker (and not just the non-American character.) Also, I didn't feel any connection between the characters to explain why they jumped into a relationship of any sort, other than Stockholm Syndrome. I think the plot could have been very good, but it wasn't executed well.
