Bestselling author Kurt Remington lives to write. He spends twelve hours a day in front of his computer, rarely leaving the seclusion of his beach-front property, where he's come to finish his latest thriller--that is, until free-spirited Leanna Bray nearly drowns in the ocean trying to save her dog. Kurt's best-laid plans are shot to hell when he comes to their rescue. Ku ...more

Yes, you've heard this before...this is my FAVORITE Melissa Foster book in the Love in Bloom series. Really. This time...I'm in LOVE. Yep. In love with Kurt Remington. Absolutely, madly, in love. Melissa his the nail on the head with this one. Read, Write, Love is the perfect amount of love, angst, and passion.

How can you not be attracted to a sexy-as-hell writer, who writes while sitting half-naked on his back deck. Um, hello? And as for heroines, Leanna is my favorite of the Remington heroines
Another for my shelf, "everyone loved but me." I didn't connect with the characters, especially the heroine, therefore I stopped at 33%. Due to my not finishing, I will refrain from rating.

Another winning romance by Melissa!

I loved Read, Write, Love. I loved everything about it!

Kurt and Leanna are so completely opposite of one another that it really does remind me of that saying “opposites attract”. While they are complete opposites, they completely balanced each other out. Where Kurt was organized and tidy and his home was down right bordering sterile, Leanna is a chaotic mess, but a free spirit who knows what she wants although she doesn’t fully realize it yet.

I loved that we we

Being someone who has always had a love for books & reading, I connected pretty quickly with Kurt. When we first see Kurt & Leanna Bray together, it's pretty obvious how much she needs him, though she thinks that she doesn't need a man! She is a fly by the seat of my pants type of girl, who is so unorganized which is completely opposite of Kurt! There is so much tension there - sexual tension included - that it's just about to burst into flames!

The quietness of the beach house is just the place for bestselling author, Kurt Remington, to work on his latest thriller. But the usual serine atmosphere is quickly disrupted when he spies Leanna Bray unsuccessfully trying to get her dog out of the rough ocean water. Concerned that she’ll end up drowning, and wanting to get them both away from his beach house so he can finish writing, Kurt offers up his assistance. It doesn’t take long for Kurt to learn that stubborn Leanna is not only eccentri ...more

This novel proves the fact that opposites most definitely attract! Kurt Remington is a writer of thrillers and can almost never be tempted away from his keyboard. He writes incessantly and when not writing-well he is thinking about his characters, plot line etc. He mostly lives in NYC but does have a cottage up in the Cape to which he escapes to write every summer! He also happens to be a TOTAL neat freak! Enter Leanna Bray with her big floppy puppy. Now as everyone knows--puppies don't think tw ...more

Read, Write, Love (Love in Bloom, #14, The Remingtons, #5) by Melissa Foster

Overall Rating: 4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆

Kurt Remington has a well-planned, peaceful, structured life until one day he meets a “free spirit” named Leanna Bray. He finds his life turned upside down and inside out and knows that it will never be the same again. Kurt rescues Leanna’s dog from drowning and he finds himself unable to keep from thinking about her. This is not usual for Kurt, he is a planner and sticks to a schedule. Leanna cannot even find her cell phone! She can’t stop from admiring the bea

Kurt is spending the summer on the Cape working on his latest book. He hardly ever gets away from his laptop and doesn't like to be disturbed. He likes things neat and tidy. The last thing he expects to interrupt his writing is a woman trying to save a dog in the ocean during a storm. Leanna is a free spirit who leaves a mess in her wake. She isn't sure what she wants to do in life and she sure isn't shy. When Leanna goes back to thank Kurt he finds he can't get her out of his mind. She has him ...more

Read, Write, Love by Melissa Foster starts off with a great note to readers. Sometimes, I like to read how stories come about. And, I knew that it was going to take a lot of dragging from a very special woman to get Kurt, a male writer, away from the only comfort he stubbornly knows of.

Kurt lives in Cape Cod. He bought the estate of a local painter with the intentions to renovate. (I love it already!!!) The whole ambiance was just magnificent. Kurt meets Leanna and Pepper the little dog, in a ve

I loved reading about when complete opposites are the ones that are perfect for one another. My hubs and I are kind of like this where he is more of a free spirit and I am more structured and like to have a schedule in my life. Kurt Remington writes about thrillers and is pretty much glued to his keyboard. Nothing can pull him away when he is thinking about his writing. Kurt lives in NYC but has a cottage in the Cape that he will go to so he can write in the summer. This is where Kurt reminds me ...more

To say that opposites attract is a serious understatement when it comes to Kurt and Leanna. The chemistry was down right steamy and I simply could not get enough of it!

Kurt is a famous author who spends most of his time at his cottage on the beach writing. He likes the solitude and doesn't like to be bothered. Especially if it means he may not meet his deadline. Did I mention that he also happens to be a serious neat freak who likes order and just doesn't do chaos?

Leanna is a free spirit who tak

Another Melissa Foster series comes to a conclusion and all I can think is "More! I want more!" If you have followed my reviews for the books I've read so far, you'll know how much I love the world Melissa has created. I want to live next to these characters. I want to meet them and say hi to them around town. I have to say that out of all of Melissa's female characters, Leanna is my favorite so far. To me, Leanna is real. She has "new relationship" fears that most people have. She's afraid Kurt ...more

Leanna Bray and Pepper are not concerned with neat when Pepper goes off running toward the Ocean. Leanna goes right after her baby, and nearly drowns herself, except for the redeeming quality of Kurt Remington. Kurt, who had been sitting on the porch of his beach house writing - doing what writers do - was interrupted by the sounds of the woman calling and chasing after her dog. He ignored them for a while, until he heard them veer into danger. Then he went to their rescue.

What can I say about Read, Write, Love that I haven’t said about all the other books in The Remington’s Series? WOW, I loved it!. Kurt Remington is now my favourite Remington sibling, a hot brooding writer who seems to be reclusive, he’s organised and a neat freak, everything has its place so when he meets the whirlwind that is Leanna, the total opposite of him, messy, disorganised and you think it will never work, Kurt would not even go there with the annoyance he showed when they first met.

First things first, Kurt Remington is absolutely appealing on so many levels, but what did it for me? He’s an author. What’s there not to love? So even before I dove into Read, Write, Love by Melissa Foster, I was anticipating the read. And as the story progressed I was introduced to more of his hotness, I was swooning.

As usual, Melissa Foster has done an amazing job with the Remington family and their love lives. I thought it was quite clever, pairing Kurt with the quirky Leanna Bray. They are

Gosh, if I wasn’t a fan of, “love conquers all” and “Happily Ever Afters” I wouldn’t be reading cheesy romance books. And Read, Write, Love certainly contains all that. I guess my problem is maybe it’s just a little bit too cheesy? Kurt Remington is a famous and highly successful author of several thrillers. He’s focused almost to a fault on his craft and perhaps a bit O.C.D. when it comes to the idea of a place for everything and everything in its place in his personal life. While working on hi ...more

I almost wonder if Melissa Foster was trying to save the best for last with Kurt Remington's book. If that was the plan then she absolutely succeeded in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, I have loved the Remington series from start to finish. Every book was filled with so much love and heart and family commradery. Big families where I get to watch all the siblings fall in love one by one are one of my favorite things to read about (or listen to as I did with this one). This whole series hits the ma

This is one of my favorite storylines by far. Kurt Remington is a structured introverted male brought to life by the voice of BJ Harrison. He is a recluse to an extent when he's in writing mode and spares nothing to meet his tedious deadlines. He travels to the Cape to knock out his latest thriller when low and behold crazy flighty messy Leanna and her spunky dog stumble into his life. He's transfixed with every step and word spoken by the flirty nymph, that his original annoyance is a thing of ...more

I loved this book. It reminded me so much of real life when neat and tidy and organized Kurt meets tornado Leanna. And yet they manage to fall in love. More than anything, I'm curious how life after the summer goes for them. In real life it's a huge adjustment and a person does not change quickly or easily.

I loved that Leanna doesn't see herself as attractive or sexy. Most women don't in real life. And she doesn't dress to impress. This story just hit a soft spot for me more than others have. I

Kurt and Leanna are total opposites. Kurt is neat, tidy and a planner where Leanna is messy and fly's by the seat of her pants. Leanna stumbles into Kurt's world one day and messes up his neat and tidy. They both make such an impression on each other that they can't stop thinking of each other.

Kurt and Leanna compliment each other very well. They bring things into the others life that they didn't know they needed. This story has plenty of laughs and you get all the feels. You fall in love with

Loved Kurt and Leanna's story. It was sexy, sweet, and the true showing of compromise and what we really do for love.

Kurt is a well known thriller author who is a clean freak, super organized, and does not like change much or interruptions to his writing. Then comes along Leanna.

Leanna is a very much a free spirit, messy, and not the least bit organized. She goes with the flow and lives in the moment. She is also working up the courage to expand her brand of home made jams that she makes and not

Le Ann is trying to decide what she wants to do with her life. She loves making jam, and is really wanting to make a career of it. She also has her loving dog Pepper who doesn’t always like to listen...and we have Kurt who writes suspense novels. Le Ann is unorganized and laid back. Kurt is OCD and very neat and organized. But they make they most wonderful happy couple.
But like every couple they have there trials. Kurt lives in New York full time, and LeAnn doesn’t know where she lives. But now

Kurt and Leanna are the definition of opposites attract and you will find yourself rooting for their romance. Leanna is a bit of a free spirit looking to find her way and Kurt is a world-renowned neat, organized author. Throughout the sweet story read how they balance and learn from each other and realize how they both enrich each others lives and how Kurt helps to push Leanna to be her best. Kurt is the last of his siblings to fall and he may have fallen the furthest.

Audio Book Review: Kurt and Leanne are the true definition of opposites attract in Read, Write, Love by Melissa Foster.

I adored this story because I truly felt like I related to Leanne in so many ways. She makes a mess making her jams, her life is loud and a crazy form of chaos; so the complete opposite of Kurt's life. Kurt likes his peace and quiet. He has deadlines to hit and cannot afford distractions every day. But when Leanne needs his help, all bets are off in this steamy love story.
