As one of New York’s Bravest, firefighter Cash Ryder is always prepared. When a woman’s car skids off the side of a mountain during a snowstorm, he’s there to rescue her. Cash is totally focused on the woman’s well-being, but within minutes of getting her to safety, he realizes that he’s nowhere near prepared for the heat that rolls off of sensual, smart-mouthed, and stubborn Siena Remington.
As a model, Siena Remington has dated some of the wealthiest, most handsome men in the industry, and she’s made peace with the idea that most men are just looking for eye candy and they wouldn’t know how to romance a woman to save their lives. When she’s rescued by a tall, handsome stranger, she thinks that maybe, just maybe, she’s found her own real-life romantic fairy tale—until he opens his mouth and everything that comes out is gruff, ornery, and aggravatingly sexy.
Thrown together during an annual firehouse calendar photo shoot, the passion between Cash and Siena sizzles, and neither one knows how to control the flames. After an evening of verbal sparring followed by a sinfully sensual night, their darkest secrets are revealed—and so is Cash’s warm, romantic heart. But Siena’s secret might be too much for big, strong, always-prepared Cash to handle—and Siena is forced to choose between a man who’s everything she’s ever dreamed of and an opportunity of a lifetime.

Firefighter Cash Ryder loves his job. He believes in being prepared for all situations so when he finds a car skidded off the road, he’s more than ready for a rescue. What he isn’t ready for is the feisty and stubborn Siena and the feelings she makes him feel.

As a famous model, Siena is used to men only seeing her face and her body. Seeing her siblings find love, makes her want nothing more than her own real-life romance. And gruff and handsome Cash seems to have potential until he opens his mouth and aggravates the hell out of her.

When a firefighter calendar throws then together again, neither can ignore the explosive chemistry between them. With every verbal sparring and passionate touch they fall deeper, but Siena has a secret, one that might just mean the end of her fairy tale romance.

“Careful,” he whispered. “You’re playing with fire, and I’m a master at controlling the flames.”

I liked Siena, although near the end I wanted to shake her for not making the right choice sooner and choosing Cash over her career. She really took too long to see how wrong it was what she was doing.

I struggled with liking Cash at first, he came across as judgemental but the more we got to see his struggle with overcoming the grief and feeling of failure from the fire rescue where he couldn’t safe everyone, how hard it was for him coming to terms with what happened, the more I liked him. He was so good with Siena, always challenging her, seeing more than just her pretty face and body, and I loved how possessive he was over her and how he took care of her. He was so gruff in the beginning, but also so sweet and sexy as the story progressed.

He lowered his mouth a breath away from hers. “Don’t fuck with my heart. I can’t afford any more scars.” He searched her eyes, seeing the want there, the need, for him.
“I don’t scar,” she whispered. “I soothe.”

The romance had quite a bit of drama, especially with both of them so hot-headed and all the drama her secret caused. Luckily there was a lot of sweet and sexy moments to balance it out.

I love all the Remington siblings and I really want to read Kurt the reclusive writer’s book. This was another sweet romance by Melissa foster.

1.5 stars.
I would have given 3 stars for the hero, a hanky fireman, but the heroine, Siena, was a total pain.
Third book I have read about this family and the women just get worse and worse. I need a new bookshelf: hero deserves better!
And there it is.
Frankly, you can write whatever you like, but I am NEVER gonna think a model is anything but a vain and vapid clothes-horse. (By all means, shoot me book titles where I am proved wrong in this massive generalisation!) And to have her scarfing down pizza and ice-cream is simply unbelievable. A real model simply cannot afford to eat that sort of stuff (actually, neither can we, but our jobs don't depend on us being rail thin).
The way Siena treats the hero, Cash, is atrocious. (where does MF get these names? It's like a list of weird, made-up, American-celeb-style, new-agey baby names). Siena needs a bloody good slap. Ugh.

ReasonsToRead
As a firefighter, Cash is always prepared, and it's that instinct that leads him to rescue a woman who's run her car off the road one snowy night.  But nothing prepared him for Siena Remington.  She's irresponsible, entitled, and none too nice to the man who pulled her out of a wrecked car where she would surely have frozen to death.

A a sought-after model, Siena's used to getting attention, but it never seems to be the right kind.  Men want to be seen with her, sure, but they're more interested in her looks or her fame than they are in romance.  But the sexy firefighter who comes to her rescue couldn't be more different.  He grates on her last nerve and won't stop glaring at her, but she can't seem to get him off her mind.

div

TheVerdictThis might just be my favorite book in the series yet.  I wasn't sure I could get into a story about a model, but Melissa Foster hasn't steered me wrong yet.

Siena is immediately likeable, and while her job might not be something many of us can relate to, her character is one hundred percent down to earth.  Where I expected jet-setting and name-dropping, there was instead a woman wishing for the same kind of romance everyone else around her has found -- and who can't relate to that at one time or another?

And Cash...damn.  I'm pretty sure he's the reason this is my favorite book so far.  He's all kinds of hot, dealing with a hell of a lot of guilt from a failed rescue at a fire, and so damned romantic despite his gruff exterior that it's no wonder Siena can't keep away from him.

Their chemistry together, even when they initially can't stand each other, is simply off the charts, and while they move past the miscommunications rather quickly, they don't fall victim to insta-love.  Theirs is a getting-to-know-you relationship, made more difficult by the publicity demands of Siena's career, and while it definitely made for some challenges, I'm so glad it didn't go super-angsty.  Instead, it was the catalyst for something bigger between them, leading up to their figuring out exactly what they could and couldn't handle as a couple.

Flames of Love is a steamy read about two people stumbling into and fumbling their way to a real relationship, despite their differences and misgivings.  Neither one of them lacks for individual confidence, but they're no experts at relationships, and that's what makes the story so fun.  Their banter and honesty with each other had me falling in love right along with them, and I think the only reason I'm not freaking out that the story ended is because I know I'll probably get a peak at them later in the series.

Being the only girl among the Remingtons, and being a hot model, I wonder who will Sienna fall in love with…

She watched her brothers fell in love, and even though she is surrounded by men and desired by many, she wanted something the same as her brothers have right now with their partners – she wanted love, and romance. She wanted to be swept off her feet, she wanted roses, dinners, and holding hands. But finding true love can be a very hard task. Until a snow storm landed her on a firefighter’s lap – Cash Ryder.

He was gruff, a little bit rude, but sexy as hell. I can just imagine those handsome firefighters I saw on Pinterest that had me drooling and swooning for hours. He is the type of man who is always prepared for whatever circumstances. When a woman’s car skids off the side of the mountain during a snowstorm, he was able to rescue her. What he wasn’t prepared for was to come face to face to the beautiful, smart-mouth Sienna Remington. And he didn’t even know her until he saw that Johnny Walker ad!

The sexual tension was already off the edge, one big shove and I know these two would just ignite my Kindle. And I was so right – it was the annual firehouse calendar shoot that pushed these two together until they can no longer deny the attraction. It turns out that their verbal banter was a mere foreplay to a very steamy, sexy, and sensual night.

But these two has secrets they are yet to share. Cash had been harboring guilt feelings over the life he could have saved but failed to do so. He had been punishing himself to a fault. As for Sienna, an opportunity came in, but with strings attached. Is she willing to sacrifice what they have for an opportunity of a lifetime? Morals are questioned – up to what extent can she do with regards to her career?

He might be a little rough around the edges, but Cash knows romance and how to make a girl fall for him with all those sweet ideas he has for a date. He can be annoying when he goes all-alpha on Sienna but he can really, really be lovable when he turns soft. What I love about him – is that he tries to keep his mind open about things. He tries not to be jealous, he tries to work things out, he tries, and tries… I was just wondering if he was willing to try to forgive himself as well. Because it pains me to see him risk his life one fire after the other after the incident. It was a big blessing Sienna came into his life.

As for Sienna – I have seen sides of her I didn’t expect, and yes, I was a bit disappointed at first. Perhaps because I thought she was better than that. She wasn’t raised not to stand up against things that she was uncomfortable with. She allowed herself to be pushed, to do things she doesn’t normally do – and to compromise what she had with Cash. It took some girl intervention before she can finally see the light, and realize that nothing is more important than Cash. She finally has what her brothers have – TRUE LOVE, and she wasn’t going to let it go easily. So she makes one grand gesture that made me smile, and loved her more.

Flames of Love is a story about love, forgiveness and compromise. You have to forgive yourself first before you can ask forgiveness or start healing. And compromise is important in a relationship - it makes a win-win situation for everyone. I love the two characters, and everything that surrounds them. It was good to see old characters I have came to love in the previous books, and once again Melissa Foster didn’t disappoint me. No matter how many times I have read her novel, she has still something new and fresh to offer. Just like this book that kept me up until I finally got the HEA I was hoping for. Can’t wait for the next one in the series!

The first time firefighter Cash Ryder meets Siena Remington, he only sees a spoiled city girl who has no regard for her safety or those of others and ends up rescuing her. The second time he sees Siena, his assumptions are confirmed when he sees her at a bar with several men. The third time though is the charm, Siena is a model whose newest assignment is the fireman calendar shoot and Cash is one of the firefighter models.

Siena can’t believe the nerve of Cash, from there first meeting he has had a chip on his shoulder and has grated on her every nerve. Of course when he is not looking , she can’t help to find him attractive. When Siena has to make a decision about her modeling career she may just end up losing Cash before they even really begin.

The chemistry is through the roof on this one. I liked that it was not instant romance between Siena and Cash. They are purely adversarial initially and the story develops without their romantic entanglement allowing their characters to develop. Very fun read.

Kobo+ Contemporary Romance Series Challenge 2025. Tropes: Love at First Sight, Family/Friends, Firefighters, Erotica.
MC's h. Sienna Remington, top model, only sister and twin in Remington family: Jack(Savannah), Rush, Kurt, Sage (Kate), Dexter (Ellie). Father retired General Marines, Mom Joan, artist.
H. Cash Ryder, Firefighter, large family and close to Tommy another fireman. Rescued Sienna when she went off the road.

This is the 3rd story in the Love in Bloom (Remington) Contemporary Romance by Melissa Foster. Sienna and Cash meet when he rescues her in a snow storm when her car veered off the road.
They meet again at a pub and again at a Firefighter calendar photoshoot. They go out for drinks and Cash asks her out. They end up skating and going on a romantic carriage ride in Central Park followed by a heavy night of lovemaking at his place.

Sienna is looking for love like the kind her three brothers and their parents have. He agent wants her to fake date an athelete to promote her career as a top model. Trouble is she just found Cash who could be the one.

Cash has been a firefighter for 10 years and never lost anyone until a couple of months ago. This is eating him up inside. His captain wants him to get over it so he won't put himself or the crew's in danger. He has been visiting the widow of the man who died bringing her food and fixing things around her place. He currently is working on a photo album for her.

Friend- Willow a top model.
Cash's friend Tommy, two other firefighters on photo calendar shoot, Captain of Firefighters, the widow Vetta Miller.

This is another beautiful love story with a sexy bossy fireman and the loving talented sister to all the hot Remington brothers. The meet cute was swoon worthy with the Knight in Shining Armor and the damsel in distress. Their first times meeting afterward filled with animosity and sexual tension. Their first date was romantic and checked off all Sienna's boxes. Their love scenes were sexy and intense revealing their love for each other with all the intensity of a fire.

I gave this heartfelt love story a 4 star rating.

“Don’t fuck with my heart. I can’t afford any more scars.”

<><> Story Overview <><>
In Flames of Love, the third installment in Melissa Foster's Love in Bloom: The Remingtons series, Siena Remington—the only daughter among the Remington siblings and a successful model—finds her life taking an unexpected turn. While driving to a friend's house during a snowstorm, she loses control of her car, sliding off the road and down an embankment. Her rescue comes at the hands of Cash Ryder, a dedicated firefighter known for his preparedness and unwavering commitment to helping others.

Their initial encounter crackles with both tension and attraction, setting the stage for a magnetic push-pull dynamic. When they are unexpectedly thrown together for an annual firehouse calendar photo shoot, their chemistry intensifies. But as their connection deepens, both are weighed down by personal struggles—Cash, wrestling with guilt over a life lost in a fire, and Siena, facing a pivotal career decision. Torn between a high-profile, career-defining opportunity and a love that offers depth, passion, and authenticity, she must decide what truly matters most.

<><> Characters <><>
Hero: Cash Ryder ; Age: 32; Firefighter

* Cash Ryder is a fearless firefighter with a protective streak, yet one haunted by guilt. Always prepared and calm under pressure, he takes immense pride in his work, embodying trust, loyalty, bravery, and courage. His crew is his family, and he lives by their unbreakable code. But beneath his steady exterior, Cash is struggling. The tragic loss of a life in a recent fire weighs heavily on him, fueling an overwhelming sense of guilt that’s driving him toward reckless decisions—ones that not only put him at risk but also endanger his team. If he doesn’t find a way to regain control, he’ll be sidelined to desk duty—the last place he wants to be, as fighting fires is his passion and purpose.

Rugged, powerful, and fiercely independent, Cash exudes an edgy intensity that makes him both dangerous and compelling. Yet, beneath all that he’s a true gentleman—always holding doors, offering his coat when it’s cold, and treating others with quiet respect. Cash is deeply empathetic, and his tenderness emerges when he lets someone in. A hopeless romantic at heart, he’s fiercely loyal to those he loves, even as he battles the demons threatening to consume him. Whether he’s charging into a burning building or revealing his rare moments of vulnerability, Cash is a force to be reckoned with.

Heroine: Siena Remington ; Age: 26; Occupation: Model

* Siena is a top fashion model. Strong, intelligent, and independent, she has been modeling since she was eight, building a career on resilience and hard work, all while earning a degree in biology. Yet, despite all she has achieved, there is a hole inside her, an emptiness she can’t shake—except when she is in front of the camera, where she becomes someone else, someone unburdened.

But now, under pressure from her longtime agent, she finds herself caught in a scheme she despises—fake dating a professional athlete to generate publicity. She hates every moment of it. The deception, the shallow pretense, the way it makes her feel like she is selling a piece of her soul. Siena isn’t easily manipulated, but this arrangement gnaws at her conscience, filling her with guilt.

Siena has no interest in wealthy suitors who see her as a prize. She wants something real—a man who looks at her the way her brothers look at their girlfriends, as if they are the air they need to breathe. She longs to be cherished, not taken to dinner with the expectation of sex or adorned with diamonds as if affection has a price. She wants love that sees beyond her beauty, someone who notices the little things, who holds her hand just because—someone who makes her feel truly seen.

<><> A Few Thoughts <><>
^^ ~ From their very first interaction, the chemistry between Cash and Siena was electric. Their reactions to each other set the tone for the entire book—intense, undeniable, and filled with the kind of tension that keeps you hooked. Their frustration with each other only amplified the attraction, making for some truly great moments.

^^ ~ I loved that Cash wasn’t afraid to be completely open about his feelings—he put his heart on the line without hesitation.

^^ ~ Sienna wrestled with some difficult decisions, and even though I didn’t necessarily agree with her choices, I could sympathize with her predicament. Her struggles felt real and that made her a relatable character.

^^ ~ I loved the Remington brothers and how they shaped Siena’s expectations for love and the type of relationship she wanted.

^^ ~ Cash and Siena had incredible chemistry, and their connection felt completely believable, despite how quickly things unfolded between them. I loved how they challenged and frustrated each other in equal measure, creating a push-and-pull dynamic that added to the tension and excitement of their story.
Siena: "He challenges me, and I challenge him right back, and I have no idea why I do it, but it’s fun."

^^ ~ Cash had plenty of swoon-worthy moments, but the scarf, gloves, and heartfelt notes? Be still my heart. Thoughtful gestures like these made their relationship feel even more genuine and special.

^^ ~ I really, really appreciated that Siena told Cash the truth about the fake dating arrangement before it turned into an overblown disaster. It was refreshing that the story didn’t rely on unnecessary drama, like him finding out through the media instead of from her directly.

^^ ~ One aspect of the book that really stood out—in a frustrating way—was the blatant objectification of women. The crude magazine moment and the innuendo of what the guys were doing in the bathroom with Siena’s ad, one of the firefighters openly flirting despite having a girlfriend, the professional athlete's attitude toward Siena and even certain aspects of the photo shoot all reinforced how often women are treated as commodities rather than individuals. It was disheartening to see this behavior treated as an accepted part of society, making those moments difficult to stomach.

^^ ~ I liked Cash and Siena - but the above issue had me dropping this a star.

"Flames of Love" is another romantic story from the "Love in Bloom" series and follows hot, moody fireman "Cash" and the beautiful but equally as moody "Siena Remington".

Hunky Cash was described as looking like Chris Hemsworth so he got my attention straight away! He'd got the mean and moody look down to perfection walking around like he had the weight of the world on his shoulders, but looking as good as he did, he got away with it. Oh my, Cash could put out my fire any day! LOL.
"Careful..You're playing with fire, and I'm a master at controlling the flames."

Siena was a perfect match for Cash. She was confident, fiesty and refused to let anyone treat her badly and get away with it. This woman had girl power written all over her!

When the couple first met they clashed in an epic way. They really didn't appear to get along at all but despite this the heat that was running between them was intense. Cash and Siena secretly fancied the pants off each other but who would crack first and give in to their desires?
"You have to be certain you want me, because If I kiss you, I'm not going to stop."

I was so relieved when Cash and Siena gave in to their attraction to one another. The author didn't keep me waiting long, which I was pleased about. I thought that Cash and Siena were perfect together. I loved how they changed and softened, their hard edges were peeling away leaving a beautiful relationship. This couple truly bought out the best in each other, with love blossoming and turning Cash into a romantic and sweet man. Who would have thought that the moody fireman could be so loving and gentle!! And when it got down to the sex scenes, this pair sizzled. That electrical current was not going to go away any time soon.
"You're like a fire. I want to study you, understand you, and learn what makes you lose control."

So everything was going great between Cash and Siena until she was forced to make a decision about her career which could potentially ruin everything between them. Siena had to choose between Cash or her career!!!

I truly expected things to go wrong for the couple at this point in the story. Siena was a career minded girl and had worked hard to get to the top of her profession. Would she really turn down the opportunity of her life for love? My heart went out to Cash, I was very impressed with how understanding and patient he was with Siena and her modeling career. Cash was turning out to be the perfect guy. If Sienna decided she didn't want the hunky fireman, I would have him!

I found "Flames of Love" to be a heartwarming and passionate story that I enjoyed reading. I loved that I got to catch up with the other "Remingtons" from the previous books but don't worry If you haven't read any of the other books from the series because this story can be read as a stand alone. "Flames of Love" is perfect if you are looking for a sexy little book and you have a thing for hot firemen and as such I rated it 4 Flaming Hot Hearts!!!

description

Overall Rating: 4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆

Cash is always prepared or so he thinks until on a snowy night he rescues a woman that he is totally unprepared for. Siena is a top model and the pin up dream of a lot of Cash’s fellow fire fighters. Instant attraction sizzles through them both and lots of denial.

“Hey, you all right in there?” A man’s deep voice broke through her worry. “Yes! Help me. Please!” Oh, thank God. “Hurry. Please hurry.” Siena gasped a breath before realizing that any sane person would be covered up in this weather. Her heartbeat picked up as she stared at the mask that covered everything but a swatch of skin around serious dark eyes. Sexy dark eyes, filled with serious concern. Jesus, what am I thinking? “Please help me.”

Siena is looking for someone like her brothers. Someone that will romance her like her brothers had their significant others. Will Cash be that someone that will treat her as a woman and not eye candy?

Is it too much to want a guy who pays attention to more than my looks? Who picks up on the little things? Unsaid things?

Siena and Cash come together in an unconventional way, a fireman holiday calendar shoot! Siena and her friend Willow are there as the female part of the calendar. Cash and Siena are shocked at the presence of the other and the heat is blazing when they are paired.

Siena lifted her eyes just in time to see Cash walk through the door. Holy crap. No way he’s modeling.

Siena couldn’t concentrate. How could she when his pants hung just low enough to reveal the curve of his abs where they sank below his hips and dipped toward the center in a sexy V as they traveled south?

Siena finds out that Cash is more than the hot exterior that the world sees and she wonders if he can be the one that can see who she really is! Cash also sees that Siena is not just the photos that everyone sees but a special woman that can save him.

Hero –Cash Ryder: 5 stars
Heroine –Siena Remington: 4 stars
Steam: 4.5 stars
Plot: 4 stars
Cliffhanger: No

Would I recommend this book: Yes! If a hot fire fighter and a top model can find true love, then we all have a chance for that HAWT relationship. This author makes it all believable.

Would I read other books by this author: Yes! This is one of my favorite authors. I cannot wait to see where she will take me next when she tells Rush Remington’s story.

Hottest Remington Love Story Yet...

Flames of Love, the third installment in Melissa Foster’s Love in Bloom: The Remington’s series, continues the Remington family tradition of finding true love and happiness by finding one’s true self.

Siena Remington is a top-rung model who only feels whole when in front of the camera. Cash Ryder is a New York City firefighter who lost a part of himself when he couldn’t save the victim of a fire. When they meet, each intrinsically knows the other will change their life forever, but each one first has to understand what’s missing in themselves before they can be what the other needs.

Once again, Foster brings family to the forefront as both Siena and Cash struggle with their inner demons. Both the Remingtons and the Bradens play a part in getting to the heart of what’s going on with Siena. Her confusion over her choices is evident throughout the story as even readers can’t really understand why she’s acting as she is, until she surprises even herself when she reaches the core of the issue.

Foster also uses the brotherhood of the fire service to support Cash as he deals with the painful memories of friends lost and the guilt that is left behind. His heart wrenching realizations and reconnection with the knowledge of how his actions, and the potential consequences, affect those around him are genuine and bring depth to his character.

As always, Foster brings a realistic romance to life as our adversaries-turned-lovers realize that they are only fighting fate by fighting their feelings. The love between them grows and the story really sizzles as they begin to feed the attraction instead of ignoring it. The honesty between them doesn’t make things smooth, but it makes them real. Although readers will be frustrated right along with Cash and Siena, they can also celebrate with them as well.

The action and dramatic scenes are well paced and true to life. The dialogue is real and the interplay within the personal relationships of the characters is honest. Foster's use of family and friends to add history and perspective is, as always, well done.

If you are a Love In Bloom series fan, you’ll be glad to continue along with Siena and Cash. If you’re new to the series, you’ll get a good bit of introduction to family members whose stories have come before, but as each one can be read alone, starting here is lovely too.

These Remington's books keep getting better and better with each book. This book was Siena's story. Siena is the sister in the family. She is protected by overbearing brothers who are very overprotective of her. It probably doesn't help that Siena is a famous model. Because she is so pretty, she has a hard time dating. Men are intimated by her. She needs a strong secure man who can handle her beauty and her fiery personality.

Enter Cash Ryder. Who else but a super hot firefighter can handle the hot and sassy Siena. Cash is ruggedly handsome, completely closed off and has a chip on in shoulder the size of the whole United States. He has suffered some stressful situations at work recently and is blaming himself for everything that has happened, even though it wasnt his fault.'

Cash happens to come across a car that slid off the side of a snowy road. The driver is alone and freezing. He helps the driver, who is Siena out of the car and to drafty. Thank God for Cash or Siena could have been really hurt. Gratful for his help Siena is surprised that Cash is such a jerk and yells at her the entire time.

To Siena's surprise she happens to run into Chase again and again. Even though he is a colossal jerk, Siena can't help but be attracted to him. He is a totally hotty who doesn't take any lip from Siena. He gives her as much as he takes. He is Siena's match. Personality wise he is great for her.

When Siena and Cash finally give into their mutual attraction, it is intense. The couple has amazing chemistry. You can see that if any two people are meant to be together it is these two. But both of their job have them pulling them into different directions. Siena's modeling agent wants Siena to up her profile by putting herself out there and being more seen in the public eye. This is jeopardizing their budding relationship. And then Cash is dealing with demons from a past fire. He is putting his job and his life on the line by not following protocol.

This story has to be my favorite Melissa Foster one yet. I loved Cash. He was as real as they come. And the sparring between him and Siena. It was hysterical and electric. I can not wait for the next Remington story!!

Melissa Foster never ceases to amaze me through all the novels that I have reviewed of hers. This one is just as hot as all the other ones and I can not wait to keep going! And if you are like me, there was always a time that you wondered what it would be like to have been with a firefighter, so Melissa just makes that fantasy come to life in her text in this novel. I got to live it out but be married to an amazing pipe layer instead. Kind o an amazing thing, right? That’s what books like this will do for you. Cash is a firefighter that has some past things that he needs to face but he really doesn’t want to at all. When Siena’s car is run off the road in a crazy snow storm all of this has to come to a head. Siena is one of THOSE girls, you know. She is the top model in NYC and as everything had it all she was trying to do was go and visit a friend when this occurence came about. Cash and Siena together are an awesome pair because they offset each others flaws perfectly It’s like they are two puzzle pieces and they align just right to make the full picture.

Siena was raised by a father that was taking care of her along with four brothers. I could only imagine what it would be like to be the only girl in a house full of guys. All of her brothers strive to be successful at everything that they do. Siena’s mother was a more gentle being and I believe that is really where Siena gets her calling to go into the modeling business. It is more “artistic” in nature than the military etc. Siena has a talen scout named Jewel that lets Siena know that a big name sports magazine wants to feature her as the exclusive. Siena is overjoyed, but she is told that in order to do this opportunity she will have to date one of the nastiest attitude having sports players. She runs into issues because she wants Cash, Cash wants her, but she wants this opportuinty. What’s a girl to do?

I am not going to spoil the fun and everything that unfolds. Just know you will not be disappointed and the steam and romance is just as evident in this novel of the series as any other! Get ready.

Disclosure: I was given a copy of this novel in exchange for my review. All thoughts are my own.

This one is definitely hot and steamy! But like all of Melissa Foster's novels the hot and steamy is romance at it's best and you know someone will be getting married and living happily if not crazily ever after. Cash, a firefighter is running from his own demons when Siena's car skids off the road in a major snowstorm. Siena is a top model in NYC and decided to go visit a friend---this woman can really get herself in major jams! Cash is always prepared-Siena is never prepared-a match made in heaven? Well it took a while.

Siena was brought up by a a father who always expected that his 5 children (4 sons and Sienna) would do their absolute best at whatever they chose to do (military man that he was and still is)-luckily her Mom was artistic by nature and gentle. Her brothers, including her twin Dex, well--like all the males in all of Melissa Foster's novels, are gorgeous and big pains in the neck when it comes to their sister! When her talent scout, Jewel, tells Siena that a major sports magazine wants her to be the exclusive, she is floored. Then she is told that she will have to date one of the athletes with possibly the worst reputation anywhere! Siena has always kept her reputation sterling clean. AND by now she has figured out that Cash is all she really wants------and Cash wants it to be an exclusive relationship!

It all culminates at Cash's brother's cabin way up on a mountain------and as usual Siena is NOT prepared and Cash is!! A match made in heaven. I thoroughly enjoyed this contemporary romance and look forward to reading more of Melissa Foster's novels.Flames of Love

Desire on Fire!

This story is among my absolute favorites of this series! I love Siena and Cash’s story as she plays hard-to-get with lots of real life dating banter between them, and of course, lots of sexy, steamy love scenes. As always Melissa Foster creates multi-dimensional characters with interesting personalities, careers, and personal challenges to confront, as the main characters navigate their paths to true love.

Little did Siena Remington, a beautiful and successful New York top model, dream that a snow storm, car accident and chance rescue by ruggedly handsome off-duty New York City firefighter Cash Ryder would ignite a flame that refuses to be extinguished.

Siena has worked hard to further her career, but at twenty-six, she’s concerned about her longevity in the industry, relying on the knowledge, advice, and connections of her agent to guide her career. Up until now, nothing has interfered with that, but lately, seeing her brothers happy with the women they’ve fallen in love with, Siena longs to be loved for herself, not for her professional fame or wealth.

Cash is among the best firefighters in the city, but lately, he’s letting his emotions cloud what he knows are the rules and procedures of firefighting. He’s living with a chip on his shoulder that is driving him to take risks he shouldn’t. The outcome of a recent fire haunts his days, while he struggles to make things right to his satisfaction.

Sparks fly as his relationship with Siena--feisty, bubbly and full of life--challenges him to conquer his demons within and show her the fiery desire that is building inside. Strong willed and determined, she, is controlling this fire.

Flames Of Love is the third sexy deposit in the bank of love from Melissa Fosters The Remington Series. She once again shows us her A+ writing skills with the journey of Siena and Cashs path to finding each other. And again her characters are exuberant in the way you connect with them. I am jealous that in our small town we do not posses anything close to Cash, the sexy, very HOT fireman. Heck, if we even had half the man that Cash is I would be shouting from my rooftop every moment of the day FIRE! FIRE! Did I mention that I am terrified of heights?

Melissa describes her characters in such detail that you cant stop yourself from making a mental picture of each one. The Remingtons have become part of my own secret family. I feel that I live vicariously through them, and would do anything to be in Sienas shoes. This gorgeous model brings such passion to the pages of the book. She might be a bit quirky and reckless but she brings so much to the plot. The two are opposites in my mind: a composed high-regarded hunk of meat and the other a silly childlike woman.

Melissa has brought so many fabulous characters to life throughout all her books. Each family adds a different layer to the over-all theory of finding true-love. Not being a romance lover, myself- I find it a marvel that I have loved these books so much. As each book comes to a close, I find myself yearning for another. Melissa Foster is an addiction that is one I dont intend to break.

this was not only the worst book in the series, it is one of the worst books I have read . the first half was terrible, then it got better then it turned rotten.
1) telling someone what to do and getting mad at them for not listening during an emergency situation when you are a firefighter by training is perfectly acceptable, however...
2) telling somebody that you don't know that you are not going to let them take a cab home by themselves it's completely unacceptable and is basically being a jerk
3) telling somebody that they need to stop walking down the street because they are cold and get into a Coffee House 2 blocks from their apartment in order to get a hot chocolate and physically forcing them to do it is not being chivalrous, that's being a jerk. there was no risk of frostbite or anything like that in this particular case
4) I have liked the series because of the strong women. but this particular main character was not only a weak woman physically and mentally, she was irresponsible as well.
5) towards the end of the book, she nearly killed several other characters by speeding in a snowstorm on a mountain and then even worse she just left them by the side of the road to freeze while she went to warm instead of coming back to them once she got help. and everyone just forgive her because she was in a rush to tell the man she loves a particular sentence for emotional reasons? It was a horrible ending. she should have been disowned for this kind of behavior of nearly killing everybody

Cash has been haunted by the guilt of knowing that he wasn't able to get to someone in time during a fire. Now when he and the other firemen are working he manages to take unnecessary risks that could get him and the people he works with killed. Siena is a model working her way up and to get there she has to do things she doesn't want to do like dating a jerk to further her and his publicity.

Siena was traveling in the snow when her car swerves off the road, lucky for her Cash was prepared for anything and manged to save her life. She is thankful for Cash but his attitude is the worst. But when they meet each other again they being to enjoy each other company. They both want to further a relationship but Siena gets a job offer she cannot refuse, will she in the end have to choose her job over Cash?

I really enjoyed this book I loved that it was different from the other books that I've read. I seem to really love this series and now I found out that this book is apart of a series of like 12 books. Thankfully the books are stand alone so when I can I'll just read each book one by one. I loved the characters and that there was more then one point of view. The steamy scenes were great and this book was very well written. I loved the chemistry between Sienna and Cash. I thought that this book was a fun read and since I really enjoyed this I hope you readers will take a chance and check out this book.

This is not my first Melissa Foster book. I’ve read quite a few – she’s quite a prolific romance writer. Because of that, I try to take a different approach to each reading. I leave behind every past reading and start like I’ve never read a romance before. It’s what you have to do – act like you want to be in love and then start reading.

From that aspect I met Siena Remington and Cash Ryder {Yes – THAT name! immediate name crush}. Right away I am in trouble. Cash is not the one you want to crush on – he’s a bad boy firefighter. He might save you from the flames of a fire, but then who’s gonna save you from the flames of your heart?

Anyhow – I’m sooo getting ahead of myself. Siena is beautiful, accomplished AND a Remington. Do you know of the Remington’s? Then you are new to Melissa Foster – you’re in for some good reading.

Ironically, it is not a fire from which Cash saves Sienna – exactly. I would tell you how he saves her, but why give away too much of the book?

Here’s a little more – have you ever had those friends that you wanna tell to get it together already? They seem kind of blind to their own intense togetherness? These two are those kind. While they are fighting against their own past issues, they are fighting against what’s right in front of them, and the flames are growing out of control.

Schöner Liebesroman im winterlichen New York…

Siena and Cash are HOT! Steamy hot! The minute they saw each other I could feel the sparks fly. I love that Siena is a top model yet she is down to earth and happy just hanging out in sweats and a sweatshirt. Cash is the absolutely most loyal person I have ever met. He never doubts Siena, he trusts her even as she gives him reason not to. When he is willing to put his feelings aside and give up the love of his life, all so Siena can have the modeling deal of a lifetime, I know that he is a true keeper.

With every installment of the Braden, Remington, and the Snow family the story gets better and better. Although each book can be read as a standalone book I highly recommend you check them all out. With each book I find a new crush and Cash is definitely the newest.

AUDIOBOOK NOTE....

Once again BJ Harrison is amazing. While working out, doing dishes, and other horrible chores he manages to entertain me with his amazing voice, cadence, and feelings. I found myself not minding doing jobs and looking for reasons and places to listen to more of Siena and Cash's story.

In my opinion The Remingtons series improves with each book, getting sexier, funnier and harder to put down!
As the only Remington daughter I felt Siena played the family role of 'bitch' in the previous two books, but in Flames of Love she emerges as slightly insecure, loving, kind and definitely stubborn!
When she meets Cash Ryder, as he is rescuing her during a snowstorm, they both reveal they can be as determined as each other, appearing rude and difficult. However, days later during a calendar shoot as Cash lies half-naked underneath her, Siena has second thoughts about him.
Theirs is a quick romance, yes nearly insta-love, but Melissa Foster compels us to believe in the integrity of the relationship between Cash and Siena, even when it is threatened by outside sources.
This is a story in which members of the Remington and Braden families have a part; I enjoy the depth and connection this gives to Melissa Foster's novels.
Flames of Love is my favorite book in the series yet because Melissa Foster reveals her characters are not perfect and the road to her HEA is a brilliant read!

Flames Of Love is book #3 of the Remingtons and #12 of the Love in Bloom series. This book is mainly set in New York.
On a stormy night firefighter Cash Ryder rescues a women from a car which has skidded off the road. He is angry that she set out unprepared for the storm and put herself and others at risk. An infuriating women, he still notices how hot she makes him feel.
Siena Remington is a top model. She appreciates the rescue but not the arrogant firefighter with a chip on his shoulder, who heats her blood.
When they are thrown together at a modelling shoot for a fireman calendar, both become very aware of the other. They spend the evening together and realise there is much more to each other than they first thought.
Yet their path to romance is troubled. Siena must date a top athlete for PR purposes and Cash has a huge boulder of guilt he must get over. Can they trust each other and their own values to come through in the end?
Cash is a man who is rugged, good looking, deep meaningful and romantic, what more could a woman want?
Another hot romance in a style this author is known for.

Siena is a model, and you’d think that would mean that she can have everything and anyone she wants. Too bad that isn’t the case. Men are either intimidated by her or want the publicity she can provide by being their date for the night. Enter Cash Ryder: handsome, rude, and obnoxious..

Cash is a handsome firefighter with a chip on his shoulder. Mr. Super-Prepared is super annoyed when Siena drives her rental car off the side of a road in a snowstorm; A snow storm that neither of them really should have been out in. She manages to ignite the flames of passion inside of Cash all the while making him hate the very essence of the unprepared woman he rescues from the brink of death.

Fate has a way of stepping in and showing you just what you are missing in your live. Even if it is the very last thing you think you want. Can a photo-shoot, a bad boy football player, and a elderly widow show Cash and Siena what they are missing in life? Or will the flames burn too hot and incinerate any hope of a happy ending for Sienna?

Amazing - Pure Delight
Flames of Love by Melissa Foster is the kind of book that can make any woman dream and, fantasize. Let’s face it, I did go out at night, the temperature was awful and I’m still single, need I go on…

When Siena meets the dashing tall handsome man called Cash there is that instant “fire” igniting but still we don’t always know what Melissa Foster reserves for her readers. I liked the characters immediately. Cash is everything, if not more, what a woman wants if even she doesn’t see it right away. There is passion, great looks and challenges.

A model and a firefighter – how long will this last? Yet, the firefighter is the kind of man who, I think, feels he has that sense of logic while she may just want to move on.

A couple made in heaven. I liked them from the very beginning. Their story will probably make you react – so keep on breathing as the scenes get hot.

Another of my faves and I do recommend it.

Flames of Love is the love story of super model Sienna Remington and hunky firefighter Cash Ryder. This is the third book in the 5 book Remington series, a subseries of Melissa Foster’s Love in Bloom series focusing on four of the five Remington brothers and Sienna the loan sister. Oldest brother Jack’s story was told as part of the Bradens of Weston Colorado series as Savannah Braden’s lover as a lead in to this series. As you can probably discern from the title, the characters professions and the hero Cash Ryder’s totally corny name, this book isn’t going to break new ground in the modern romance genre. The author doesn’t even attempt to hide that she’s copied much of Cash’s personality from Jack’s. Both are brooding ultra alpha males carrying around a ton of misguided guilt over a previous event where they feel they failed to save a life which hides their softer, kinder nature. In both books it’s the attraction to the heroine that pulls them from their funk.
This may be the first in the dozens of romance novels I’ve read where I actually like the hero Cash more than the heroine Sienna. About the only thing not to like about Cash is that ridiculous name the author stuck him with. He’s brave, honest, kind and loving. And of course like all good romance novel heroes he is square jawed with piercing eyes and the body of a comic book super hero. Sienna on the other hand I found as much annoying as I did endearing. We’re told Sienna is not a stereo-typical airhead model but is actually quite intelligent as her degree in biology is supposed to prove. The problem is Sienna may be book smart intelligent but she seems to have no common sense and the emotional maturity of a seventeen-year-old instead of a twenty-six year old. Whether it’s dressing weather appropriately or making decisions about her professional or personal life Sienna can’t seem to get it right much of the time. Thank goodness she has her mom, brother’s brother’s significant others and Cash to straighten her out.
Ms. Foster did try to make us appreciate how hard being a super model is, with Sienna being directed in photo shoots by the photographer like she was a trained dog. “Sienna sit!” Sienna, roll over!” I guess they also have to endure harsh working conditions like spending hours in wintery cold weather wearing nothing but flimsy, sexy negligees. Wow now I really appreciate how hard those super models who earn seven figure salaries have to work for their money. Although I really have a hard time seeing Giselle Bunchen` allowing anyone to treat her that way. The story also touches on the difficulty these super model’s significant others must have to deal with when their lady love’s image dressed in next to nothing is displayed in magazines and the internet for other men to oggle. As a man I really don’t know how I’d be able to deal with that myself?
Sienna despite her seeming lack of common sense is really a sweet, caring young woman. And even though we’re led to believe while not a virgin she’s also not all that sexually experienced, she certainly is a tigress when she decides to get busy. There’s a lot of steamy sex in this book. In fact something I find bewildering in most of Ms. Foster’s books is her heroines normally follow the same pattern in regard to their sex lives. None are virgins, but with the exception of Kayley Snow have only had a few previous partners who never really did it for them. None have been in a sexual relationship for months or even years yet they’re all on the pill. Why would a young woman who is not promiscuous and hasn’t been in a sexual relationship for a long time be on the pill? Yet in Ms. Foster’s books they all seem to be, “just in case.” Sort of like a guy walking around with a condom in his wallet for months or years even though he never gets lucky and has no interest in a one night stand.
Part of this story is a bridal shower for Savannah who with her fiancée Jack (Sienna’s oldest brother) has finally set a wedding date. Another common theme of Ms. Foster’s lovers is that while they fall hard and fast in love and often quickly get engaged and start shacking up, none are in any hurry to make it legal. Anyway since I’ve read all of the Love in Bloom series to this point and know all the characters and their inter-relationships I sort of wonder why the author didn’t include Danica and Kaley (sisters of Lacy, significant other of Savannah’s brother Dane and also her good friends and wife of her cousin Blake) in the bridal shower. They and their spouses were the only featured characters in the previous series not invited to Savannah’s bridal shower along with all of Jack’s brother’s and her own brothers significant others? She even has Gage mention Danica to Cash. And in a surprise connection Gage who works for Danica at her youth community center and who is married to Savannah’s cousin Blake whom we were introduced to in the Snow sisters series and l Braden books is Cash’s older brother and just happens to live up the mountain from the Braden family ranch. Could there be a future series featuring the rest of Cash’s siblings? Maybe we’ll finally find out what happens between Gage and Sally?
As modern romance books go this wasn’t a bad story and I hope I haven’t left that impression. The romance part of the story while not all that unique and only feeling slightly contrived was enjoyable and the characters were all likable with plenty of heart warming and humorous moments thrown in between them. I enjoyed getting back to Weston and seeing if only briefly the characters from the Braden series that first introduced me to Ms. Foster’s writing. Sienna’s frantic dash to her H.E.A. is both funny, tender and heartwarming. Over all while not an exceptional book it was certainly enjoyable.

I'm not sure if I really liked it for 3 stars, but I guess I'm giving 1 star for the hero of the story. The heroine on the other hand is my least liked one so far. I can understand that we want a good portraited hero who we can fell in love and be our prince Charming, but why the women in these serries have to be so not likeable? In the end I sympatyse with the hero more - not equally. And in many cases I end up wanting a better woman for him. Compromises in these relationships seems to be so one sided and it doesn't feel healthy to progress.
Sienna was willing to keep a false relationship to keep contracts comming in and win more money for a life with the man she really loved , while he was expected to not be jealous and defend their relationship in front of his friends and family without being able to tell them it is a stunt for publicity. And he had no other choise, because of course he will not want to meddle in her career and make her choose him over what she worked for her whole life. When he was asking from her to see the situation reversed , she flipped and wasn't so understanding as he was. With or without Cash , she should've been more discusted with the offer for the false relationship and refuse it right then. And maybe from then start to think of a different path in her career. Maybe starting her own agency , where she doesn't allow this kind of stunts for publicity. I just wanted her to have more resiliance and dreams beyond modelling. If she was one of the most successful models in America, she should have enough money to secure her life, as it turned out at the end. The thought of faking a relationship with Gunner for a 10 million dollars contract, which can secure her future kids in case of wanting to be a stay at home mom or Cash injuring himself, should have not existed. In the end all of it was pinned on the father who teached them to want and keep doing more and to fight for it.
Which, I don't think is a bad quality, they just have to see more perspectives and reajust.
Also if we will have a whole serries of the Ryders , should we not have a little bit more of their family , too? Cash's parents were never mentioned and only his two brothers and sister were. All I'm saying is, if the serries will be connected we should have a better structure of the ties and family connestions.
Last but not least I cannot classify these books as standalones , who can be read separatelly. If you haven't read the Bradens , like I did, you would be majorly spoiled by their story evolving through these serries. And a lot of others. I love to read about other couples from before serries in new ones , but I got irked when books in serries are described as standalones. I'm confused what to do now. Keep reading these serries and be majorly spoiled and not be interested in the Bradens? Return back to the Bradens and start from the begging ? Or leave the entire serries for awhile? Though decision.
