Invaluable guide for needleworkers offers a wealth of foolproof and timesaving methods for making quilt blocks. Included are instructions, diagrams, and templates for creating 12 lovely quilts, 24 photos of finished quilts, and 48 pages of templates.
The patterns in this book are all based on traditional blocks, and you can create a quilt with just one block or make a sampler quilt using one of each block. But the methods - which at the time were considered new - are now outdated. Instead of using cardstock templates to trace and cut, it is much easier and faster to cut with rulers, a rotary cutter and a cutting mat. I guess that if you wanted the experience of making a quilt in the old fashioned way with templates - this would be a good book to use!
