“Our lives are nothing but a conspiracy and if we don’t think outside the box, we’ll never figure it all out.”

description

I’ve been eager to read this third book of the series. The premise of four Navy Seals on a top secret mission returning home after six years only to find that their family and love ones have buried them months into their mission is so intriguing. In this story, Tucker McCoy finds out where his wife Penny and their daughter Claire have vanished to.

”Are they running or hiding?”

description

Sadly, the love aspect of this story is mild and lacking. Penny our heroine is hiding and happily remarried to guy named Ray. Sadly the remarried/moved on type scenario already played out with Evan’s book so I was hoping for something more for Tucker. Ray is like a blip in this story he comes in and out of play way too conveniently leaving me questioning why he was even added in the story in the first place.

description

Tucker could have been a dreamy hero but the author pretty much focused on the whys of the cover up, the mission, and the bad guys and girls behind all of it. I’m still fuzzy on the explanations I received and not quite sure I grasped and/or bought the reasons but I sure wished Tucker would have been alpha-ed up several notches.

description

I liked the hero and the group enough to read on as to the big conspiracy of the cover ups and Penny’s reason for running and hiding. This was a solid read but could have been so much more and let’s face it more believable.

I needed this book. I didn't even realize how much until I read it!
The Archer Brothers were awesome and I was smitten with them both in the first two books in this series. I hate to tell them, but Tucker has grabbed my heart and claimed me as his own.
Oh, Tucker.
With his fierceness, strength, and tenacity, he's the epitome of the alpha male we all love. But it's not over-the-top. The kindness that's laced into his personality is refreshing, lending him a uniqueness that I won't soon forget.
Save Me pulls you in and doesn't let go until the final word. Heidi brilliantly weaves a tale that you can't put down.
Pick this up. Save Me will leave you breathless.
Five angsty, intriguing, and emotional stars!

Omg best book in the series to date! I finished this book at 4a bec I could not put it down. The story captivated me and I had to read it thru to find out what would happened. Action packed, suspenseful, emotional and heart warming, Heidi has written a series that I can imagine on the big screen! Fans of this series will love Tucker's story. Selfishly, I want the other SEALs to find their happiness too (Heidi hint hint!)

Save Me by Heidi McLaughlin

I want to start this review by saying that I believe that Save Me is Heidi McLaughlin’s best book to date. Save Me is well written, thoughtful and an absolutely wonderful read that I loved from page one until the very end!

Save Me is book 3 in The Archer Brothers series, but it can also be read as a stand-alone. The author added a preface before the prologue giving you some background details as well as lots of information throughout the book, making it easy not to feel as though you are missing something. With that being said I highly recommend you read books 1 and 2; Here With Me and Choose Me for a lot of reasons. Both of these books are very well written excellent stories that will have you on the edge of your seat and you really need to meet the beauty of Evan Archer!!

Save Me does focus on all four SEALs but the center of this story is Tucker McCoy. Tucker is a Navy SEAL who was declared dead 6 years ago. Much to his surprise and the 3 other men on his team he comes home to find out he is dead and his wife and daughter have vanished. Tucker and his team search for answers as to what and why this all happened to them they also search for Penny and Claire McCoy. But Penny is hiding and nobody knows why.

The story begins to unfold from there and boy, was there an insanely devilish and detailed story. I could not put my kindle down, I was completely captivated! People who I thought were bad weren’t and people who appear good might not be. I really loved how the team along with some help worked together and Heidi really showed that they were truly brothers.

Tucker McCoy is the perfect hero. He is so strong and protective as well as kind and loving. His love for his wife was so deep and unwavering even in the worst of circumstances. I loved being inside his head because to me he really is such a complex man. One who could be so gentle, understanding and loving one minute and a man who dreams of ways to torture and kill the next. I could not blame him either; hell I wanted to torture and maim some people myself. My heart really bled for Tucker because things were just never easy, but my Tucker had patience and determination and shouldn’t a man as admirable as him get his happy ever after?

This book had me on so many emotional ups and downs. I cried more than once, but there was a scene in a motel that had me weeping, I was completely done for. There is nothing better than book that makes you feel, that makes you lose yourself in its pages and characters. No matter if you feel happy, sad, mad amused or in love, it evokes such strong feelings. This book did just that for me. Heidi McLaughlin has really created some magic in these pages and I give her and Save Me 5 hero worthy stars!!!

Oh. My. Word. This series, this book, these characters. Heidi McLaughlin has created a keep-turning-the-page gold with this series! The third book in the Archer Brothers series certainly doesn't stop with the drama, the intrigue or the heartbreak. Buckle up kids because Heidi is gonna take you on another wild ride of emotion in this latest installment. Tucker McCoy does not disappoint!!

Tucker McCoy is searching for his family. Searching for the truth about how this happened and what sent his wife and daughter fleeing into the night without a trace. We see the beauty that was Tucker and Penny's relationship mostly through flashback, but man those looks back were more than enough to know that these two people had a special love. As we follow Tucker in his quest to locate his wife and daughter, we also get Penny and Claire's story and current life. These alternating pov's were great for me as a way to connect and see all sides of the story. To try and follow along to wonder what's going to happen next and how will this all play out. Will Tucker get his family back or will it all be more heartbreak?

Thankfully Tucker is not alone because Evan, Nate and Rask along with Ryley and Kara are there to support him and aide in his journey. I loved that we get all the players in the story, because this band of brothers are not enduring any of this turmoil alone. Add in more backstory of their six years away and there was no shortage of revelations, twists and turns.

I needed Tucker's story. I needed the emotional ride that Heidi takes you on as a reader, because it's in the midst of it that you are reminded that life is fleeting. One decision can have far-reaching impacts. It's a reminder that everyday we have to fight to find and hopefully hold on to our little slice of heaven.

This is a must read book. I fell in love with the Archer Brothers and I fell even more In love with Tucker McCoy. A man who wants answers, a man who wants his family back, and will do anything to know they are safe. The way Heidi wrote Tucker's story my emotions were everywhere. I know what I wanted reading Tucker's story and Heidi delivered. Heidi is an author that no matter what she writes I know it will be an unforgettable read and she has done that with Tucker's book. I wish I could give more then 5 stars because it deserves so much more

No sé ella no me cuadró...

I was impatiently waiting to read this book. McCoy caught my attention in Here With Me and Choose Me. I am so happy we got his story. McCoy was deployed for six years then comes home to his wife and daughter missing. He will do whatever it takes to find his family and get his answers. Heidi wrote this book in a way that has you glued to every page. They feels in this book are off the charts.

“Our lives are nothing but a conspiracy and if we don’t think outside the box, we’ll never figure it all out.”

“For right now, home is here. It doesn’t have to be a place, or specific house. Home is where you hang up your coat and kick off your shoes. Home is where you sit down for a nice meal, and if you have friends surrounding you, it’s so much better.”

Save Me is going to be one of those reads you’re either love or you’re hate. For me, I know I will probably be in the minority here, but I have a bit of mixed feelings toward this book. So, for most of the book, I was hooked. I was intrigued. I was dying to know what happened to Penny and why she was on the run. My heart hurt for her that she believed Tucker was dead. And Tucker….I can not even imagine what he was going through; thinking he was just on a mission for 6 years, only to come home and find life as he knows it changed. Now, I can’t say much about this book, because I don’t want to spoil anything for you. What I will say is that I really liked the idea of the story. I loved the mystery and intrigue around it. I loved trying to figure out what was going on and who you could really trust.

However, I did have one major issue with the story and that was the pacing. It was great up until the last 20% or so. Once the story climaxed and was starting to wrap up, it just blew by. It was like someone hit the fast-forward button. You see, my problem is that since so much of the story had to do with Tucker trying to find Penny and reclaim his life, I need more from them. I wanted to see more of them together after they were reunited. I wanted to see them rebuild their relationship and grow back together as a couple, especially after everything that happened. Please don’t get me wrong, I know we do get some of that. But I just feel that as big as a part as their story was and how Tucker’s “death” changed so many things, that they should have been given more than just a chapter or two at the end. When you read the book, you will have a clearer picture as to the other reason that I was bothered by how quickly they moved on. I know that I’m being vague, but trust me when I say you will understand when you read this book.

Overall, Save Me was a quick and easy read for me. The plot definitely pulls you in and will keep you guessing right until the very end. Again, I know that I will probably be in the minority about this book and even though this book was a 100% hit for me, I’m still glad that I checked it out.

I know. I'm in the minority.

This one didn't go over well with me. I read romance because it's fun and makes you feel all warm and happy :) My husband finds my obsession with books amusing and pretends to listen when I rant or rave about some book I've just read. Unfortunately, this isn't going to be a rave review.

I don't know how to explain why I didn't like it without spoiling it. And although I've done the 'Hide entire review because of spoilers' thing, I'm still going to tag this next part in case people REALLY don't want to know the outcome.

I haven't read the previous books but I don't think I will if this story is anything to go by. The plot seemed a goodie, but it fell flat for me. Not my idea of a romance.

I absolutely loved the first two Archer Brothers books, so naturally I was thrilled to find out there would be a third and it would be about Tucker. I knew there was no way Heidi would disappoint, but man, she blew my expectations straight out of the water! This book was fan-freaking-tastic! How Heidi continues to come up with these crazy plots is beyond me, but I hope she never stops.
After being gone for six years on a secret mission, Tucker comes home to find his wife and daughter gone. The book spans the course of the next year as Tucker searches tirelessly not only for his family, but clues as to why they disappeared.
The emotions the characters go through will pull at your heart strings and make you fall in love with them. I feel like I held my breath through out the majority of the book because it was so packed with suspense and action. It was the perfect blend of sweetness and suspense. I feel like it was a good conclusion to this epic story, but am remaining hopefull for more...

Loved this one from beginning to end. I really felt bad for McCoy and his situation. I like how he didn't give up and I like his method of torture if he got his hands on Frannie. He lost so much time with his family just like the other guys because of sick twisted people.
Penny loved Tucker from the very beginning and she's a great mom. She'll do whatever she had to to protect her family. Both Tucker and Penny truly love each other. They are willing to do whatever to see the other happy. Early on in their relationship they'll do whatever makes the other happy, even if it's to let each other go.
Tucker doesn't walk away, for six years he was "dead" because someone wanted it that way. We get a lot of answers in this book. This has the feels and it's a book about not giving up and doing whatever it is to see the one you love happy. I'm hoping we get Rask story and someone else. I also hope we get Evan and Ryley's wedding.
I highly recommend this book.

Tucker is on a mission to find his wife and daughter and will leave no stone unturned until he finds them. From the very start you can't help but be pulled into Tucker's story as he searches for his family and the anguish he feels while on his journey.
What really made me love this story is that it's not a new love being formed but searching for a love that was taken away and having the uncertain possibility of regaining that love and doing everything in your power to get it back.

Penny and Tucker's story is gripping and heartfelt and reminds me that the power of LOVE is a beautiful thing!

SAVE ME is a story that will keep you captivated from beginning to end!

Great addition to the series BUT probably my 3rd favorite of the three that have been released.

It was awesome to get Tucker's story, and I truly was hurting for both him and Penny. But everything Evan graced the page, my heart almost leaped out of my chest. I still hurt for him soooo badly, even though his life is on the mend!

Anyway, this book was so great. Emotional, dramatic, tense, mysterious. It had all that I needed from a classic Heidi McLaughlin novel.

Heidi has done it again! If you have read her books, you know they are all amazing. Save Me is no exception. Although it is Book 3 in the series, it can be read as a standalone. Heidi did a great job explaining things in the beginning, so even if you haven’t read the other books you will be good and catch up quickly.

As a quick background, this series is about 4 Navy Seals who were deployed and declared dead when they weren’t really. They come home and things are not what they expect. Save Me is Tucker’s story but the guys all work together to figure out the truth and seek justice.

Ok. What did I think of Save Me? Holy crap. What a good book!!!! Save Me is different than most of the books I read and I LOVED it!!! Heidi has written a story full of suspense, mystery and action that will have you on the end of your seat, your heart racing, your emotions all over the place and anxiety taking over. The twists, the turns, the lies, the corruption!! The feels!!!! Things are not what they seem. People are not who they seem. Will the guys find justice? Will Tucker get his old life back? You will want to skip pages to find out but don’t!! Read it all!

Save Me is well written, unique and addicting emotional roller coaster you won’t want to get off.

The Archer Brothers Series is absolutely fan-FREAKING-tastic!!!! I have been a huge fan since book one. I'm going to be completely honest here. If I was asked which of the Archer Brothers books was my #1 favorite....I seriously would NOT be able to answer. All three of these books are hands down without a question FIVE STAR reads. This is without a doubt one of my favorite book series. Heidi McLaughlin did not disappoint in Save Me.
Save Me starts off and refreshes us as to where book two leaves us. This book is Tucker and Penny's story. Their story is a tough one for many reasons. I will not give anything away. Their journey is one that needs to be read. I laughed, I was shocked, and I for sure cried while reading Save Me. This book is packed with edge of your seat, who done it, very emotional, and heart wrenching moments. Save Me takes you on the wonderfully written journey of Tucker and Penny. This is a story that will stick with you long after you read the book. I highly recommend The Archer Brothers Series to everyone. Bravo Heidi McLaughlin!!!

We first met Tucker McCoy in Here With Me as one of the four Navy SEALs who were sent out on a mission, but unbeknownst to them nothing was as it seems.

Tucker has lost his family, a wife and daughter who moved away to somewhere unknown. Save Me follows Tucker on his journey to unravel the conspiracy surrounding Frannie, who we learned in Choose Me was behind their disappearance.

I can't explain enough how much I loved this book. I was drawn in from the first line, each page holding me captive. I read this in one sitting, held hostage by the suspense and needing to find out what happens next.

This was by far Heidi's best work. The storyline was consistent, the suspense was perfectly executed, and Tucker's determination was so powerful I felt as though his feelings were my own. If I could give Save Me a million stars, I would.

I highly recommend this book, and declare it my favorite read this year.

I have been looking forward to Save Me and it sure did not disappoint! My heart went out to Tucker who thought he was going home to a wife and daughter only to find they had all but vanished. While you do not need to read the first two in the series to enjoy this book, it only enhanced my love of everyone involved in this book in helping to locate Tucker's family. I love that the whole gang got involved so we got to see SEALs Archer, McCoy, and Rask together in action as well as other key players that all rally and help on this mission. It was filled with mystery, suspense, and fast-paced action there is never a dull moment that's for sure. And let's not forget the love story. The love and respect Tucker has for Penny and Claire to only want what was best for them is true love. Even if it means sacrificing his own happiness and losing everything if they have moved on and are happy. I thoroughly enjoyed the ride and was left so satisfied in how it concluded.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book was amazing! I loved the twists and turns that kept popping up and keeping me on the edge of my seat!

This was Tucker and Penny's story and I'm so glad that he got his own book! Tucker came home from being on a SEAL mission for six years to find his wife and daughter gone. They were no where to be found and no one knew where they had gone. This tells you about the struggles that he goes through and why Penny just disappeared.

This is one of the best series I've read and I highly recommend it to people who like Romantic Suspense.

I think this is my favorite book of Heidi's. It was well written and I loved the story. It had me on the edge of my seat as I didn't know what to expect and it certainly didn't go the way I thought it would. Without talking spoilers I am so glad it ending the way it did although there were many hiccups along the way.

Thanks for writing such a great book Heidi!

Tucker McCoy gets his story. In book 1 and 2 you heard of him but it was limited. Here in book 3 you get the entire story. You learn about the demented Frannie. So he arrives home to nobody. No wife and daughter. Thus begins the search for Penelope and Claire. This cross country journey was pretty good, well written and had a solution.

The buildup was there but then the conclusion was lacking. It is like going to the store and buying ice cream you really like and while at the register you see something else on sale and figure what the hell this one is better and the other melted while I was waiting so I will just put it back. So Penelope/Penny/Amy was a decent character who just suddenly as a housewife, becomes so adept to changing her identity and moving. She covered her tracks well for someone with no education in these matters. That pill was hard to swallow.

Heidi McLaughlin brings the Archer Brothers series to a close with McCoy’s story in Save Me. Delivering more of Evan, Ryley, Nate, Cara, and the rest of this great cast, this novel expertly conveyed the deeply rooted sense of camaraderie and unconditional love that only these characters can deliver. McCoy’s quest to find his wife and daughter exuded the mystery and emotion I’ve come to adore from this series as we got to experience the vulnerability and fear and that made this warrior so undeniably human. Save Me not only wraps up the action and suspense of the military storyline, but Heidi McLaughlin unraveled McCoy’s heartbreaking love story in this novel. Through flashbacks of his relationship with Penny and McCoy’s desperate search to find her and Claire, we get to know the man beneath the SEAL and I found myself falling head over heels for McCoy’s deep devotion to his family and fellow SEALs.

Honestly, Save Me wasn’t the conclusion I’d hoped for when it came to this series. There were quite a few loose ends left open, questions that went unanswered, and a storyline that moved too quickly. When all was said and done, Save Me lacked that satisfying sense of completeness I look for as a reader and I couldn’t get my mind to stop wanting more. What happened with Rask? Did his family ever accept him? If Frannie was oblivious to the whereabouts of Penny and Claire, how did Lawson obtain all of Claire’s photos and report cards to send to McCoy? Did EJ ever call Evan “Dad”? How did the window at Penny’s home get broken from inside and what did it mean to the events that occurred that night? While the overall storyline came together in this final series installment, so many of the smaller pieces – the pieces that made me care about the characters and invest in their love stories – didn’t quite fall into place and in the end, I wanted more for the Archer Brothers, McCoy, Rask, and River.

Having anxiously awaited the conclusion to the Archer Brothers series, I was somewhat underwhelmed with Save Me. Overall, this novel felt rushed with a good number of grammatical and other editing issues along with an uneven sense of pacing that kept me from completely losing myself in the story. To be fair, Heidi McLaughlin’s writing is great and it was easy to enjoy her descriptive imagery, heartfelt dialogue, and the fascinating world she has created. I must applaud her creative construction of this story and the ease with which she pulled me along for the ride as each twist and turn encouraged me to keep me reading. The characters certainly embodied the feeling of family and unwavering loyalty that shared military service fosters and it was that special bond that had me so invested in this series. I hope Rask will get a novella some day as his story begs to be told and I am more than eager to listen. Despite what I felt were significant deficiencies, Heidi McLaughlin satisfactorily ties up the series and brings this heart-wrenching story to a close with Save Me.

Title: Save me ( The Archer Brothers #3)
Author: Heidi McLaughlin
Star:5

I'm truly excited and honoured to get to review an ARC of Save Me by Heidi McLaughlin in exchange for an honest and spoiler free review. This great story deserves a 5 star review.

Save me is the third book in The Archer Brothers series, although it can be read as a standalone because the author got the readers up to date with a few chapters of explanations and descriptions from the first 2 books. The characters from the previous stories play an important role in the development of this journey. I'm glad I had read both books not so long ago.

This is about Tucker who as been deployed for over 6 years, to return home to a stranger who answers the door. His wife and daughter have vanished without a trace. Now he will go to any length in order to find them. With the help of his fellow Navy friends and family they will work hard to find out what happened.
Penny has been running and hiding for the last 6 years. Tucker was killed in action, so it seams, her daughter was in danger so she ran. Now Tucker needs to figure out why? And where are they?

This story was addicting, intriguing, captivating and highly suspenseful with a touch of some romance. But it was mostly about Tucker adjusting to life back home and Penny trying to hide from her past. I was tangled in a web of deceit which I didn't know who I should trust or not. It's so intriguing it kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the reading of this story. Once I started reading this story, I was hooked from the very fist page read to the very last one. Nicely written with a seamless plot that had an original storyline. Great remarkable characters.
It's non stop action packed with never a dull moment. I thought this story was somewhat darker than her previous books, but not overly so.

Story told in a dual POV that brings the readers back in the past a few times. It could be read as a standalone but I'm really glad I had read the 2 previous books before reading this one. It does have an HEA that is much deserved. I would like to warn readers that there is talk of pedophilia, there are no descriptions thought. I highly recommend this story and all of Heidi's other books are worth it also.
