Rather than recap the plot of BETWEEN LONESOME AND TEXAS (see synopsis above and other reviews), I’ll just say that Tori Scott has written a darn good story. Her characters feel real, with real friendships and family ties, and her plot is believable and entertaining. Even though we may not know a bull rider or live on a ranch, we can relate to the problems and decisions Tori Scott’s characters face. Rodeo star Blake Kaufman has a successful career on the rodeo circuit, but he questions whether o ...more

First I have to say I loved it, loved it, loved it. I think it will be one of my favorites of the series.

Tori Scott has an amazing ability to bring the reader into the moment that makes her books on level with any of the top authors. While her books are romance, she brings real life to them. This one did not have the suspense element of the others, but there was enough edge that I did not miss the mystery. I want everyone I know to share in the friendships I have made in the books. Blake and Mandy's Story: I have to admit after the last book I was wondering if Blake and Mandy would get together. Mandy used to waitress at a restaurant in town before coming out to cook at Cooper's place. Blake is a former rodeo buddy of Cooper's who is not ready to give up the rodeo. He is gone for long periods of time without contacting her. Blake left home when he was young and hasn't been back in 10 years. Mandy has her own secret she is keeping from Blake. Watching the things that happen ...more

Tori Scott just keeps getting better! Blake has been on the rodeo circuit for 10 years, becoming best friends with Cooper Saunders and Nick Jackson. Cooper and Nick have left the circuit and settled down in Morris Springs, Texas. Mandy works for Cooper and his wife Nancy and as with most of their employees is treated as part of the family. Mandy and Blake have a strong attraction to each other, but is it enough? Blake is torn, he loves the excitement of the rodeo and the travel, but something is ...more

Book #5 in the Lone Star Cowboys series is the story of Blake and Mandy. They both battle their own demons while wading through an uncertain relationship. You'll be taken back to the idyllic town of Morris Springs and catch up with all your favorite characters from stories past. Events unfold, information is revealed and developments are made keeping the story going. It is well written, well rounded and one you won't want to miss.

This was a great story about bullrider Blake and his love interest Mandy. Blake can't decide if he wants the rodeo or if he wants Mandy. In the time it takes him to make his decision he may just lose her. It takes the patience of a saint (in Mandy) and some good friends to help him decide. I hope to see more in this series. I love Ms. Scott's writing and she is a go to author for me.

I loved Mandy and I loved how she grew some lady balls, "Blake," she said calmly, struggling to keep the excitement and happiness from her voice. "Nice of you to drop by for the shower." Mandy kept scouring the counter, afraid to turn around where he could see the tears in her eyes." Okay so that wasn't the best example of her having a pair of lady balls, but this sure is, "Mandy turned back toward the house and Blake fell into step beside her. "No, I haven't changed. I decided I deserve more th ...more

Between Lonesome and Texas is the fifth book in the series Lone Star Cowboys by Tori Scott and I know I keep repeating myself but WOW!!!! Once you start reading the books you can't but them down. This story is about Mandy and Blade and how they felt in love.
Blade was on the rodeo circuit with Cooper and Nick but now they retired and he was by himself and it didn't hold the excitement anymore. He thought about his family who he hadn't seen in ten years. He thought about Mandy and how he missed h
