Pohvala prevoditeljici, Senka svaka čast! Jezik prijevoda je jako kvalitetan, kuži se da nije samo jezik originala dobar, nego da je i dobro preveden.
Jezična furka je nekako modernistička, ranomodernistička, kao da je zbirka priča objavljena 1919., a ne 1979. Navedeno mi se izuzetno dopada. Carterica je to vjerojatno namjerno izvršila da se poveže s klasicima horrora s početka prošlog stoljeća.

Born Angela Olive Stalker in Eastbourne, in 1940, Carter was evacuated as a child to live in Yorkshire with her maternal grandmother. As a teenager she battled anorexia. She began work as a journalist on the Croydon Advertiser, following in the footsteps of her father. Carter attended the University of Bristol where she studied English literature.
