Thais Miller's The Subconscious Mutiny is an interesting showcase of short stories that focus on a diverse array of women in various psychological conflicts.

Among my favorites was "Label," a story of a woman who "shoplifts" various labels from grocery stores for her art and the ways the labels reflect parts of her life. "God's Medicine," about a woman who is married to a crazy snake preacher, was also quite memorable for its use of second person, effectively putting the reader into the shoes of
