Values: Lighting the Candle of Excellence : A Practical Guide for the Family

Rate this book
Life presents us with certain opportunities, but how we use them is what counts. Values help us to navigate our way. They guide us to what is important - to ourselves, to our families and communities, and to humankind. Children who are to achieve their dreams need a framework of values they can rely on, one that is instilled in them with love and consistency by parents and teachers. This book is a blueprint for doing just that. Anecdotes, games, poems, exercises, and proverbs will inspire and motivate as you encourage your children to learn dozens of values including confidence, determination, kindness, courage, perseverance, belief, self-reliance, and many others.

Marva Collin's Way is better (and if you have read that this won't add much to your knowledge of Marva's ideas) but otherwise it is a fine little book.
