I was very eager to grab up this next installment in The Replacement Guitarist series after the events at the end of book two. Things were left in a crazy spot and I just couldn't wait to find out what happened next for Jason and Blaze. After closing the cover on this one, I'm still processing. This is a truly strong set-up book and does its job as the book before the big finale. It has left things in a place of shock, pain, high intensity and promise for what is to come. Anyone who gets to the ...more

The third book in the series. Alas, there needs to be a book four. I really thought I could wrap it up in book three but Jason and Blaze threw me for a loop. - Lori Toland

That quote above, I stole from Goodreads and it should have given me the hint that this was going to be a totally different book, and that, yes, it will throw me off for a loop. I should have taken more notice to that hint. grrrrrrrrrrrrrmeeeeeeeeeooooowwwwwwspiiiiiiii

What the heck?!?!?! I happened to glance at the blurb before I started reading Into The Fire so I knew there was going to be a cliffhanger. But I wasn’t expecting THAT as the cliffhanger. My freaking heart it hurting right now. I can NOT believe you did this to me Ms. Toland! By the way, it’s the summer of 2014, where’s Encore because I need to read it NOW!!! I don’t want to wait to find out what happens next.

Despite the fact that I want to go all Misery on Ms. Toland and get my hands on Encore

I have come to love Jason and Blaze. Both incredibly talented, passionate and loyal. Their families are important and they both seem thrilled to have this chance at love. So why oh why do they keep messing it up?

Blaze is not as crushed as I would imagine after being fired from Cassie’s band. He lives all the time he has with Jason, and they are learning to be together full-time. But Jason feels like he has to find Blaze the next big deal. Even if it means time apart, touring and working

Blaze had his dream job with Cassie's band as a guitarrist , also He was sharing his life with boyfriend Jason until they got fired.

Blaze need to make the decision to potentially go back on tour or leave his dream behind to continue his relationship with Jason with no separation between them. Also Blaze wants to come out regardless of the consequences something that Jason claims could wait.

Something about this part of their relationship is different in a sense is a struggle between Blaze wanti

I was fortunate enough to read Lori's The Replacement Guitarist Series. This is a four book series (although book 4 won't be out until later this summer) that follows the love story of Blaze, the replacement guitarist, and Jason, the manager of the band he is hired to complete a tour. The moment Jason walks the the door, he falls for Blaze. Blaze is gobsmacked by Jason.

From that day on they share their passion for each other and for music. The series is full of misunderstandings, passion, love,

Life is never easy for Blaze and Jason. After both are fired, life is suddenly not so simple. They are very happy in their relationship, but Blaze is not happy that they are still closeted. Jason believes that Blaze's career will be ruined if they come out. Blaze no longer wants to hide.

Opportunity knocks on Blaze's door once again. He's got an a shot at not one, but two bands. Will they accept him for who he is? Will Jason agree to come out? Will their relationship survive the pitfalls of a so

Wow, Blaze and Jason just strike you as the perfect couple, but when times get tough they both just seem to give up on one another. I don't like Cassie at all, she seems to cause nothing but pain and problems for those around her. I hate where this book ended because I really wanted resolution now, I don't want to have to wait for it.

With regards to overall writing, storytelling, and character building, this is the best book in the series so far. The story, and half of our romantic duo, also began to make me incredibly angry, but in a way that seemed to be a logical extension of the story so far, so I can hardly hold it against the author. That said… Jason is really frustrating and pissing me off as a reader, especially as a reader with some counseling background. In the first book, the two of them were both so green to the ...more

This is the third book in the Replacement Guitarist series following the relationship of Blaze and Jason. I was hoping that this would be the final book but there is a fourth one to come later this year, so yes there is a WTF ending for now and no HEA yet. Oh and what a shocker of an ending which didn’t even leave me with a HFN, because I wasn’t happy for now, I want to know what the eff is going to happen, NOW.

Into the Fire Review

This is the third book in The Replacement Guitarist series. You could read
this without reading the first two, but I recommend you read them to know the
whole story behind Blaze and Jason's relationship.

Blaze has just been fired as Cassie's guitarist. Jason has just been fired as
Cassie's manager. They had a pretty public relationship while on her tour, but
now that it's time to start over with their careers it means toning down how
public they are. Jason has always be

I liked this series a lot, but I'll be honest and say that it wasn't until the Into the Fire that I actually became emotionally invested in Blase and Jason's relationship.

In this story Blaze and Jason are still getting used to the idea that they have been fired by Cassie. Jason is not happy with her decision but harbors no malice towards her. However, Blaze is just a tad happy to not have to work with her any more. Yes, he is disappointed that his first professional gig is over but he

God why can't things be simple for this couple! I know why because it makes for much better reading, lol. I have lost over a day so far reading this series I cannot stop I'm like a Jason and Blaze junkie right now.

Life is never easy for Blaze and Jason. After they are both fired, life is suddenly not so simple. Together they are very happy in their relationship, but Blaze is not happy that they are still hiding in the closet about there relationship. Jason believes that Blaze's career will be ru

When everything you have worked for to achieve comes to a stop and you get fired it can put a strain on your relationship! That is what happens in this mind blowing novel Into The Fire. This can be read as a standalone even though it is part of a series and book 3 (I haven’t read the 1st or 2nd) and didn’t feel lost but am curious. Blaze and Jason’s story will have you wondering what happens next because the sacrifices that they make shows how much they love each other. Especially when life thro ...more

DNF @ 75% - I just couldn't anymore. These 2 MCs act like spoiled children. They don't communicate with each other & instead of talking things out when one says something that upsets the other, they get butthurt & flounce off in a snit. An amazing Romance filled with fear of abandonment and ridicule. I fell in love with Blaze and Jason, this story brought a whole new understanding to me about the turbulence their relationship would bring to each of them. In the end what we have to ask is if you love eachother enough, can you handle what the world brings to hour door?
I love their dynamic. I love how the love eachother. And I am broken hearted over how they let the outside bring doubt to them. I love this series if you haven't re
