This is the second time I've read through this book. If you want to understand how OA works or if you're a member and you want some encouragement in your abstinence, this is a good read.

This is a book I picked up now and then, which worked just fine since it is a string of brief personal accounts from members of OA. I myself am not a member of OA, but I am often interested in other people's ideas and strategies, believing that we all have much to learn from one another. Like any book of this nature, some of the personal accounts were useful for me, while others I couldn't relate to at all. Early on, I wasn't sure I would continue with it, but I kept it in the bathroom where I would see it and have brief opportunities to peruse it. I will keep in mind some fo the perspectives I gained from it.

Excellent reading for recovery

This is an excellent book; especially if you're working a recovery program. Full of experience, strength and hope. Highly recommended if you need extra support working your program, or if you're a newcomer.

Helped me to better understand what Abstinence means

I really enjoyed all the stories from people who made abstinence a part of their daily life. It reinforced my abstinence journey.

Kind of repetitive but useful in OA recovery. Addiction is a challenge to deal with for sure.
