I can’t wait to start reading the next book in the series ! Pretty good story unfolding so far

Slightly more focused this time.

Halloran's third "Darkslayer" book actually has some suggestions of a plot...nay even MULTIPLE plot threads as warrior Venir goes missing and is being searched for by two friends while thief Melegal is enlisted by the bad Royals from the first novel to find Lord Almen's dead-but-resurrected-into-a-zombie son Antonio while halfling Lefty and mage Kam do some adventuring on their own.

While the first 2 books had no real plot, this one overcorrects and there's a bit too much going non for Halloran to keep it all together and interesting.

Oh, and there's a surprise kid thrown into the mix at the end. Because why not?

Good read

I enjoyed the book, although it jumps around to much to give you a good sense of what is truly going on. I wish each chapter was a little longer, more complete and extended each storyline better.

Darkslayer

If you're looking for a book series with a8 hero with a darker side then this book is for you. Venir isn't evil but his world is harsh and he does what he must to survive. Fight or Die!!

Still chugging along nicely. You get more character exploration and plot in this one. My biggest complaint not enough Venir and Brool ass kicking axe action. Going to dive into the next one right away.

This one is every bit as good as the first one. I can't wait to start the next book in the series.
