"Move over James Patterson, Dani Amore has arrived! Fans of James Patterson will jump for joy when they read THE KILLING LEAGUE by Dani Amore. It moves at breakneck speed with sharply drawn characters in a plot that is absolutely riveting. The villains are horribly evil, and the heroes are real people you care about. It's a cliffhanging, white-knuckled, red-hot thriller by an astonishing new talent." - -R.Mullens for Amazon.com
"Dani Amore writes fast-paced, gripping tales that capture you from Page One and hold you enthralled till the last word. She brings a strong, clear voice to whichever genre she chooses. This lady is one hell of a storyteller. Watch for her." --J.D. Rhoades, best-selling author of Gallows Pole
"Amore is definitely one to watch." -- Edgar-nominated author Craig McDonald
"Dani Amore's writing reminds me of the great thriller writers -- lean, mean, no nonsense prose that gets straight to the point and keeps you turning those pages." --author Robert Gregory Browne
I like these stories well enough to want to read more from Mr Ames. However, Mr Ames, you need to either hire an editor or learn to do it yourself. You seem to have a difficult time with hyphens, among other things.
I read this collection of shorts by Amore and found them lacking depth and too predictable. The Garbage collector had potential but just sort of fizzled out. I'm still going to give some of her other work a chance and see if it is better. If you want to read an excellent mystery story that will serve like an IQ test for you and your friends, read A Song of Crickets by JT Pearson. You can download this thirty or so page short story from Barnes and Noble for free. It's extremely well-crafted and the ending is spectacular. I should admit that I've been reading her work for a couple of years off of various sites and have become bias toward her. I sent some of my friends a link to that story. Some of them missed what had happened and presumed that the story had finished with an ambiguous ending, but if you pay attention it's all spelled out for you - all the clues and details are there. Do yourself a favor and read it with fresh eyes - meaning don't read the reviews, in case someone leaves a spoiler. Then, have your friends read it and see if they understand how it ended. Of my friends, they split - around 4 out of ten knew exactly what happened and thought it was extremely obvious, while the others sighed after I pointed out all of the clues which were left throughout the story. After an argument with one of my friends who insisted I couldn't know for sure what the author intended I emailed JT at a contact I found and she told me I was correct. See if you and your friends understand the intended ending. It's a great deal of fun.
