Between the Breaths is one of those New Adult series I look forward to. I loved Bennett and Avery story and liked Ella and Quinn’s, so I waited impatiently for the next part, especially because I needed to get to know Rachel, Avery and Ella’s friend, more. I’m so glad the author didn’t disappoint and delivered something so sexy

I was actually considering vlogging (video-blogging) this review but nah. You guys don’t want to see my squeeeeeing x 10 faces right?

While I was reading, I had to pause several times and just sigh in contentment to how perfect this book is. At times it’s sweet, but not sickeningly so; it’s emotional, but not to the point where it’s tear-inducing, and above all, this book is the epitome of what quality New Adult literature is, fully encompassing the transition between ad

My first Christina Lee novel was a such sweet (and hot) experience. Yes, hot. I warn you - this is a "full blooded" new adult romance which means no readers under the age of 18. Other than that, Whisper To Me is a part of the series, it is third book in Between Breaths but it can be read as standalone, you won't miss anything if you haven't read previous stories.

My favorite type of YA/NA book is one that is sweet, with low angst (no idiotic characters), low frustration (again, no idiotic characters), and one with a lovely romance in the center of it.

This one had everything that works for me, I enjoyed it from start to finish

I'm thrilled to share Rachel and Kai's story with you. This is book three in The Between Breaths Series, but can also be read as a standalone.

"WHISPER TO ME brings the prodigal party girl back home to the boy next door turned friend with (secret) benefits. With this steamy tale of requited lust and chemistry, Lee peels back the layers on two damaged people who want something completely unexpected from each other - something more." --Tammara Webber, NYT Bestselling author of Easy

This is finally Rachel's tale! It is the chance to meet the out-going gal with the mysterious past and the scar.

Her life back in her home town is quite different from the life she has portrayed at TSU!

Rachel was the typical HS gal who fell in love young an suffered the worst consequences of a broken heart. Literally shattered in body and soul after an accident, she had one constant in her life...her best friend's older brother Kai.

Kai was the source of comfort and str

Whisper to Me was a romance of unrequited love, filled with longing and emotion.

Rachel is back in her hometown for the summer where the past she tries to forget through mindless hookups and a carefree façade comes slamming back to her. None of her friends from college know that Rachel was in an accident that almost killed her requiring months of rehab or that her boyfriend, Miles, turned his back on her and left when Rachel needed him most. The only people who stuck with her were parents, and h

This book! Wow. Let me just say, Kai brings HOT to a whole new level.

Aside from the scorching chemistry between Kai and Rachel, this book also deals with intense emotions. Rachel's past is devastatingly real and heart-breaking. And Kai's insecurities over who he is and how he (and others) define him makes him all the more lovable.

WHISPER TO ME is hands down my favorite in the Between Breaths series, and I cannot wait to see what Christina Lee brings to the table with her next work. She is now

An emotional, sweet, and wonderful read, Whisper to Me was a fantastic New Adult Romance. I really liked this book. It was a lovely additional to a brilliant series.

Rachel was a lovely heroine. She went through a lot after a motorcycle accident, and she came out stronger than before. She was determined not to let that part of her life keep her down. I really liked her. She was a great character.

Kai was wonderful as well. He was a character who wasn't quite sure of himself. For one, he was confus

Sometimes you just need a palette cleanser. A quick, easy read with low angst and a guaranteed happy ending. And that's what this was. Finished it within two days, I was entertained, but it probably won't prove very memorable in another month. There was nothing wrong with it. In fact, I appreciated that the author wrote a female character that was (somewhat) unapologetic for liking to sleep with guys. And she (mostly) wasn't shamed for that fact either. But beyond that it was a very formulaic, N ...more

During the summer before she left for college, Rachel's self-centered boyfriend took her out on a friend's motorcycle (without a helmet) and crashed. He walked away with a few scratches and she ended up almost dying with a traumatic brain injury. To add insult to injury (literally), he abandoned her afterwards and took off to his life and college like nothing ever happened. Kai, Rachel's best friend's brother, was her rock during recovery.

Oh boy, this was just ok for me. Our key characters are Kai and Dakota, brother and sister. Rachel, grew up with Kai and Dakota, and BFF with Dakota.
Three years ago Rachel was in a near death accident with her then boyfriend Miles. He came out of it just fine, and Rachel had to learn how to walk again, work on her speech.. so many obstacles she had to overcome. Miles, being a dickhead teenager, couldn't take the heat and bailed on her. But Kai and Dakota, stayed by her side. Kai was a huge drivi

Dear Reader,
If you are reading this review to try to decide if you should one-click it or not, let me start by telling you upfront to go ahead and put that one-click finger to use. I'm 2 days and 1 1/2 books out from finishing this book and I still keep finding myself replaying some of the scenes from the book.
Yes, this book was hot and Kai is really good dirty talker but I would have been just as in love with this book without the sex scenes. I'm not saying they were unnecessary, because, real

Whisper to Me is the 3rd book in the Between Breaths Series. I love all of them and can't wait for the next to be released. I have a weakness for pierced, dirty talking, bada$$ musicians and Kai does not disappoint. I got a glimpse of Rachel in the previous two books that were about her friends, just enough to make me extremely curious to learn her story. I’d like to announce Christina Lee’s place on my favorite authors shelf. Figuratively, of course. I don’t normally put people on shelves.

Onto Kai an Rachel.

Out of the 3 (Avery, Ella and Rachel) I always considered Rachel to be the Floozy. Avery definitely had her share of flirtations and beyond during her college years. Ella, while stuck with an idiot for a boyfriend out of some distorted (and thankfully fixed) concept that he’s a connection to her brother. And Rachel always was the one to tell

This is book three in Lee's Between Breaths series, and I remember reading book 1 and I remember liking Lee's writing style and the story overall, so when the chance to read this book came up, I jumped at it, and I am so glad I did. For me, I felt Whisper to Me blew All of You out of the water, okay that may be an overstatement, but I absolutely loved this book and if Lee keeps writing like this then she has a fan for life.

Lee's first book, All of You, was a really good debut novel in my opinion

Whisper to Me is Rachel and Kai's story. I've told you I love friends to lovers stories, right? I do. So much. And Rachel and Kai just might be one of my new favorite bookish couples. They're complicated, but perfect together.

Rachel was in a horrible motorcycle accident three years ago. Her boyfriend was driving during the accident. While she was dealing with the after effects of brain surgery and going through physical therapy, he left her. I

This is the third book in the Between Breaths series, but the first one I've read. In no way do I feel like I was missing out by not having read the first two. I can't wait to get my hands on them if they are anything like this book.

Rachel has been living a double life in some ways. Away at college, she is the carefree girl that is just looking to have a good time. Back at home she can't be herself because of the pity she sees in everyone's eyes. She was in a tragic m

As I read the first two books in this series, I had not given Avery & Ella's friend Rachel much consideration. In fact I would almost say that I didn't like her much. But in Whisper to Me, Christina Lee has constructed a very compelling backstory for Rachel that at times takes your breath away. You come away knowing her so much better and rooting for her in every way. She is a kick ass heroine who has faced down challenges in her life and just wants to be some form of who she thinks she should b ...more

This is the third book in the Between Breaths series and can be read as a stand alone. I know that for sure because it's the first book of the series I read and I was not lost even once! It's an emotional and touching read that I'm sure many fans of the genre will enjoy. A 3.5 rating rounded to a solid 4.

Rachel has been through hell and back. She's shut herself off to many things in life, became numb as well. She no longer looks to people for help in any way. Well all except for some minor thing

Kai. Kai. Kai. He was my favorite part of this story, he was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed their story, much more than the second book in this series.
After being so enthralled with Before You Break, I just had to keep reading to find out what Rachel's story was. She was sassy, wild and nearly out of control in the last book and I had a burning need to know what brought her to this point. So as soon as I had the chance I grabbed up this book and settled in to submerge myself with this author's storytelling again.

The story opens with Rachel coming home for the summer for the longest visit she has been on since she left for college three years b

I wanted to read this one because I have enjoyed the characters and romance in the other companion novels, and I liked the sound of this and figured why not.
I like the characters of Kai and Rachel. I find out a lot more about Rachel and discover (not surprisingly) that she has gone through a lot more than I would ever have imagined, and is put in a weird situation coming back home. She feels like the other people from her high school just view her as "that" kid, the one who was in the wreck a

I enjoy this series, so I was fairly disappointed with this one, especially since this is the third book in the series. I think what didn’t work for me was the lack of storyline. I felt like there was a Heroine and a Hero. The Hero liked the Heroine and wanted a relationship. The Heroine had issues and just wanted to use the Hero. That’s basically the story.

So the plot isn’t so bad, but there wasn’t any meat to back it up.

So the first thing I should admit is that I did not know this was part of a series. When I was scrolling through the Net Galley titles, the blurb for this book was so good, I had to take a shot at getting approved to read this. I love second chance love stories, or best friend turned love stories and this seemed almost like that (minus the ex, groveling for her forgiveness). I started it as soon as I was approved for it.

This is where maybe reading the first two books might have helped,
