《西湖梦寻》是一部风格清新的小品散文，作者系明末清初著名散文家张岱。全书共五卷，通过追记往日西湖之胜，以寄亡明遗老故国哀思。作者在记录西湖胜景上自具慧眼，对杭州一带重要的山水景色、佛教寺院、先贤祭祠等进行了全方位的描述，按照总记、北路、西路、中路、南路、外景的空间顺序依次写来，把杭州的古与今展现在读者面前。尤为重要的是，作者在每则记事之后选录先贤时人的诗文若干首（篇），更使山水增辉。
