June Bryan Belfie began writing in her 70s and has written over 30 books. Her Amish novels became best sellers on Amazon Kindle, and her work has been published with both Harlequin and Desert Breeze. You can find most of her books available at Barnes and Nobles in paperback or e-book. Soon audio books will be available for some of her Amish and Christian-based novels.

While raising five children, June found time to take up oil painting and studied under several nationally known artists. She also loved to play the piano, sing, and sew.

In the 1970’s, she and her husband, Jim, purchased and operated a thirty-eight-room country inn located in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania where she established an art gallery as well as creative workshops, which took place in a converted recreation hall. Professional artists and writers from all over the country presided over classes held during the summer months.

In addition to inn-keeping, Ms. Belfie has owned a restaurant, cooked professionally, worked in a bank, collected and sold antiques, directed a church choir, and served as a Stephen's Minister.

She enjoys her eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, as well as her adult children and their spouses. She now resides in Media, Pennsylvania.

Emma's Choice is the second inpiring story written by June Bryan Belfie in her The Zook Sisters of Lancaster county. This story takes the reader back to Lancaster County and the life of Emma Zook. In the first book we learned of Emma's love interest in Jeremiah Fisher and why her sister Ruth left for the English world. Now Emma is torn between two available Amish men. John Troyer is single and looking for a wife while Gabe Kuhns a widower is also looking for a wife but also a mother for his two young children. When Emma chooses to teach in the one room schoolhouse and becomes the teacher for the Kuhns children her interest grows. When Rosemary, a young Amish widow, arrives in town she also sets her sights on Gabe. Emma now is concerned for the children and if Gabe still has an interest in her. This story takes several twist and turns before all is worked out.

I was not given a complimentary copy of this book to read and review. I was not approached to post a favorable response. All opinions are my own. I have rated this story with five stars for meeting my expectations of a wonderful story that I can highly recommend to others. I look forward to reading the third book in this series.

Congratulations to June Bryan Belfie on continuing her series with another inspirational story full of love, faith, family, and healing.

Good Read

I really enjoyed reading this book I thought it was a good read and I really enjoyed Emma telling what she wanted in a husband and not just marrying somebody because her parents approved of them and letting God lead her in the right direction cannot wait to read book 3 in this series to see how things turn out with Gabe and her.

Wonderful

I loved the character Emma!! I love that she thinks for herself and she is straight forward and knows what she wants even though she is Amish. Her family is amazing too...this book is such a joy to read and though it touched upon losses also has a great story line that keeps you from putting the book down. I highly recommend this book.

Waiting in patience

Sometimes waiting is the best thing. It definitely is when you are seeking Gods will in your life. Oh how hard it is for the human mind and heart. Sweet Emma had the patience and honestly never had expectations from the man whom her heart truly loved where as all the suitors she’d laid down boundaries and built up walls.

Emma now is busy with two suitors, and teaching. Disruption in the class room from two that had just lost their mom. He is bored, and Emma and some of her family go visit the father Gabe. Emma is drawn to the children, but will she want a ready made family.

Meh

Too predictable. Some scenes would not really take place in the Amish. Needs better research and writing. That is all.

A bit too predictable and repetitive

I did enjoy reading this story. Actually, a 3.5 star rating since a couple of minor errors and one major.

I love Amish stories.

This was very enjoyable All the characters were so real. So even the Amish can have feelings of jealousy and dislike at times as we all do.

I really like reading stories about the Amish and their family life. This story has a lot going on. Emma is a strong woman and that puts off a few prospective husbands. She is also a teacher who loves her job. In a community where women are married pretty young, she stands out as unmarried. What will she do??? Read the story and find out for yourself. Love, Love, Love this story.

The second book in a series. Emma the oldest sister is 21 and not married. She enjoys her work as the school teacher in their Amish Community and is in no hurry to marry. Besides, all the eligible men are either currently courting or in Emna's opinion too dull or boring to consider. And she certainly is not interested in any one who just wants a wife & isn't interested in love. Gabe is a widower with 2 living children, having lost 2 daughter's in a buggy accident & his wife to cancer. Gabe's children pull at Emma's heartstrings as she gets to know them & her family tries to help Gabe pull himself together for the children's sake. Will they be able to help without Emma being hurto especially when her parents think Gabe is way too old for her? What is God's plan for all of their lives?
