Thea is a freshman at UConn and has the world on her shoulders as the last game she is not playing up to par. Even though they win and going to the tournament, she is off in her game. Never does she expect to meet Keaton Lowe, especially in her locker room. She has no clue who he is, but she has peaked his interest.

Keaton sees a hidden domme in Thea and he plans to help guide her through the process of embracing who she is. With a rock star schedule and a heavy schedule for March Madness, will t

A staggeringly hot, fun, swoony and different story about two people who find themselves and each other. It's humorous, sexy and outrageous and I loved it.

This audacious romance tells the story about Thea, a college A-list basketball player who not only knows her way around a hoop she’s also learning how dominate Keaton, a mysterious, hot and determined rock star.

This is a relatively quick read, full of wit and steaminess, but also playful with a twist, having Thea as the female Domme and Keato

This book was well written and flowed smoothly. However, I had a hard time connecting to the characters (I guess was my problem with it). The role reversal, while awesome (love the idea), came off a tad awkward in my opinion. I just didn't "feel" it. Considering the title I was expecting more "rock star" and less "sports" than what I got. That could be another fault I had. I was kind of geared up for the musician lifestyle and instead got a lot of sport talk. Another thi

Really enjoyed this.

Love the dominant female/submissive male spin on was nice to see a change from the typical (of late) roles.

The funny thing is, I wasn't sure what I'd feel about the role reversal...turns out, it was fantastic (by "fantastic" I mean "hot").

Keaton & Thea were really great...loved their interactions. Cute & funny, I couldn't put it down.

If I had *any* criticism it would be that Keaton was a little "instalove"-y with Thea...but then, Thea was pretty insta lust-y with hi

As soon as I found out the release date for HOW TO REPRIMAND YOUR ROCK STAR and that I could get an eARC, I added the review to the schedule and booked Mina to come hang on the blog with us. Hopefully you caught her Feaure Friday post yesterday.

Anyway, before I get to the full review of the book, I just have to say. Mina and her books are right up there with Loki at SDCC in my book. She fucking owns the entire kink with a wink thing!

Love of Mina and anticipation of this book's release aside, HO

Oh Ms. Vaughn, you are quite the trickster.

I really thought I had you figured out. I was sure I knew what the story would be all about. But no, you reached deep in to your bag of fun and pulled out a story line that was just a gah!

A gah story because it was simply pure fun! No crazy drama. No "I can't be with you because" shenanigans. No cringe worthy sexy scenes. A flow that will have you turning page after page because you are so completely entertai

I didn’t quite see how this would play out in my head. A basketball star and a rock star… quite the combination. She’s on the top of her game, well, almost. He’s on the top of the charts… but can the two of them find a fit in this crazy world?

Thea is a basketball star on the rise. But after a bad, bad game she knows she needs to step it up a notch. It was a bad game. But what made it worse was the experience in the locker room when she went back to retrieve her lucky tape. But once she finally m

My Review:
Overall, this was an entertaining read. It's a set-up that's completely original...I don't think there is another romance novel out there where the heroine is a college basketball player at the very top of her game like Thea is, but she's still a freshman...young and inexperienced.

That same description works for her sexually, too. She's a dominant, but doesn't realize it until she meets rock star, Keaton Lowe. He's a sub and recognizes a match for his needs in Thea, even though she ha

How To Reprimand Your Rock Star by Mina Vaughn was one of the most original books I have read. It was fun, delightful, a bit quirky, and had some interesting characters. Although it touched lightly on the BDSM theme, it was done with an original touch. The characters performed their roles, Domme/ Sub, with what felt right for their relationship. There were no dark moments and every sex scene had a delightful feel to it.

Thea is a star in her own right. She is a gifted basketball player. She i

Floved it. 5 stars all the way!

Clever, Witty, Fun, Naughty and Oh sooo good! Those are the words I can think of to describe Mina Vaughn’s second book How To Reprimand Your Rock Star. Let me tell you, I loved this book and am excited to share my review.

Mina writes amazing stories. There is always something unexpected in her writing which is one of the reasons why I love to read her words. From the moment I started this book, I couldn’t put it down. Her characters are refreshing and different. Pai

Thea was immersed in her college studies, along with trying to prove herself to the basketball team. She had a voice in high school, but here no one wanted her opinion. One day in the locker room when she was showering, some punk showed up and hid her towel and clothes and made suggestive remarks to her. Thea suddenly found her voice and gave him a hard time right back. She didn't realize he was part of the band that would be playing tonight. What she did know was that she wanted to kiss him but ...more

I really loved this book. I love the idea of a rock star being so fascinated and into a normal girl. He sees the dominant powerful woman in her even though she can't always see it in herself.

Keaton is a rock star used to getting his way and when Thea doesn't recognize him and orders him out of her locker room he is intrigued. Their relationship is built around her basketball dreams and his busy schedule. They have a chemistry that they can't deny but being together was never going to be simple.

I love how the characters are written; even from their initial meeting, Thea and Keaton have great chemistry, none of the weird awkwardness that could usually happen. I really liked the twist on the storyline in that Thea is the alpha in the relationship; I've read a scant handful of D/s books in which the female is the Domme. Even more impressive is that Thea didn't lose her mind and go from a strong, k

I was given an advanced copy of this book for an honest review. Honestly, I really enjoyed it! At first I was a little confused because of the title and the book was about Thea and basketball. But the author did a great job of bringing it all together, including the other characters. I loved her "kinky Obi-wan" mentor and her basketball life. It was great seeing these two characters, Keaton and Thea evolve into themselves and each other. He may be a Mega rock star, but he was just a person who w ...more

I absolutely loved this author’s light hearted spin on an unconventional D/s relationship with two characters who are an unlikely pair. This naughty fast-paced adventure was a much needed break from reality and a great story about a goddess and her oracle.

Thea sneaks into her college locker room to pick up her lucky tape she uses to bind her knee. She decides to steal a shower before leaving and finds herself face to face with an enticing stranger.

Keaton may dominate the performance stage but h

First off Thank you to NetGalley for providing us with a copy of this book so that we could bring you this review.

One of the things I liked most about this book was that even though it has a BDSM feel to it, I liked the fact it wasn't the typical male Dom and female Sub. It shows a woman in charge of the relationship, and of what she wants from her man. The fact that he is a rock star that she didn't even know existed before hand is great. I also liked that Thea has a strong woman

I completely loved this! Thea is a basketball star who is struggling at the moment. Then she meets her rock star who lets her know exactly what he wants, and it helps her figure out what she wants, too. Eventually she learns that her life just works better when she controls what can be controlled. It's a bit about discovery as Thea embraces her inner Domme. Keaton is very swoony. He's known as the Heartbreaker of the Century, but now all he wants is to worship his Goddess. And for her to tie him ...more

This was a bit harder than normal for me to rate (not in a horrible way). I thoroughly enjoyed it, it was fun, flirty, different, sexy and kept me up the entire night. But it left me off a bit...unsatisfied. The ending was so abrupt I literally sat for 10 minutes with my mouth hanging open, thinking, "That's it? No freak'n way!"
Other than that, it's a great read with plenty of unexpected surprises and an original story that that'll pull any reader right on into its pages.

I was lucky enough to score an advanced copy. As a huge fan of How to Discipline Your Vampire, I was giddy with anticipation for Mina Vaughn's new book. I have to say, she somehow managed to step up her game. Rock Star is so incredibly hot! The author is tapping into fantasies I didn't even realize I had! Keaton is one of the sexiest characters I've ever encountered (including film!)

Anyhow, I consider this a must read! Grab it as soon as it comes out. I'm going in for round two now!

This was my first Mina Vaughn read and I really enjoyed it, laughing out loud at times and blushing at others. Thank you for putting the idea in my head of "spanking" a rock star. Now I can add that plus ice cream and syrup to my rock star fantasy list. *wink wink*
Hot stuff, I was worried about the BsDm but it wasn't overwhelming to their relationship as Thea and Keaton were fun and playful in public. I don't think she ever signed that form, did she?

A female uni basketball player and a rock star. What a strangely surprising combo. They are unlikely and they are hot!

I think it is easier to comment on this story in lists of likes and dislikes:

1) a different kind of heroine here - an athlete, a basketball player. Think tall, athletic and beautiful. And with Domme traits. Yet she's also a virgin (wuut?) and although very smart, she's little bit naive and prudish at first. Cute. And this is a story where the heroine does not really bother t

Not a lot of authors can successfully blend sweet romance with wild kink but author Mina Vaughn does it with great success in How To Reprimand Your Rock Star. This book was a blast and I hope I can convince you to give it a chance.

4 stars and recommendation in the NYA romance genre ( and as a light BDSM read)

The book description claiming How to Reprimand your Rockstar is a “fun and saucy” read is not an exaggeration. In fact, it's fun and saucy and is also unique take on the current batch of rock star themed books in the romance genre. This is the first book by this author that I have read and I’m happy to say I was pleased being my expectations.

I participated in the cover reveal for Mina Vaughn's How to Reprimand Your Rockstar a couple months ago and since I read the blurb, I've been looking forward to reading the book. I was dying to find out what happens when a dedicated (and straight-laced) college basketball phenom meets a hot rock star who wants nothing more than to be dominated by her. I won't get into all the details because I don't want to spoil the (very sexy) ride for you, b

When I received this book as a preview copy, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I started reading and while I know NOTHING about basketball and didn't know if I'd be able to connect with the story, I kept reading past the first chapter and was pleasantly surprised.

The story follows Thea, a freshman at UConn and superstar player. She’s the star of the team, but finds that she’s being distracted by a devilish rock star. Keaton Lowe, is the lead singer of the band Trickster City, and meets Thea when hi
