Quick & Dirty: A short novella that gave me a taste of the story and unfortunately, I have no interest in reading anything else from this series!

Opening Sentence: “Walpurgisnacht,” Mr. Kruger said, rocking back on his heels.

The Review:

Katy Ainsworth is a witch that attends a boarding school in Whitfield, Massachusetts. There is a special holiday approaching called Walpurgisnacht and legend says there are fairies that come out for the holiday. If you are lucky

*This Book Was Given To Me By The Author In Exchange For An Honest Review*

I was excited when I was offered this book for review. A book about teenagers and troubled fairies is definitely the sort of thing I like to read.

I felt that this book had a really good concept and the characters seemed very interesting to me. I wish that there had been a bit more backstory for one of the characters especially, Artemisia, because she really intrigued me but I wonder now if that might be in one of the other

When Katy and her friends learn about fairies in class they set out on a search for them. After all every fairy has a treasure. Katy had hoped that the stories were true but really finding one is a different thing all together. When she’s given wishes her life couldn’t be any better. But Katy is finding out the hard way that a wish isn’t as simple or as good as one expects. Can she undo all the mistakes she made by making the wishes or is it too late?

'Wishes' is a companion novel to the Legacy series.

Playful and light, 'Wishes' gives witchery a modern day feel.

In this novella Katy along with some friends go on a search for fairies, although they exist, no one's every seen them. That is until now. Katy finds herself face-to-face with a fairy and she's no "tinkerbell." She wishes for Peter, her boyfriend/promised to show her more affection and when that back fires she wishes for popularity. And, then that backfires. Everytime she makes a "wi
This was a delightful novella revolving around witches and fairies. I received a complimentary copy to read and review and am so thankful for it as I really enjoyed this story!

I didn't realize this novella was part of a series. It stands on its own and you do not need to read the series to be able to read and enjoy this book! I now want to read the rest of the series and learn more about the characters.

Katy and Peter are handfasted, but being the typical teenaged girl, Katy is a bit miffed tha

I didn't feel lost, even though I haven't read this series and this book is #2.5. Of course, I'm sure I would know and understand the characters better if I'd read the other books, but I thought it was a great snippet of what the series is about.
Katy is a witch at a school that was designed for witches, but is now mixed with regular people. The "normal" people don't know about the witches. On a special fairy hunt night, Katy finds the treasure and is granted her wishes, but learns that wishes a

When Katy hears about fairies with her class, a few of them decide to see if there is any truth to finding them. Of course Katy had hoped it was true, but never expected to find one. When Katy is given wishes, the first one to come to mind is to have her rush equally as smitten.

Katy is finding out the hard way that a simple wish is not always as simple as one expects. As Katy begins to realize it is more of a course, she finds that she is more interested in helping her fairy then keeping her wi

Wishes is a novella than can be a complete stand alone from the Legacy series. I haven’t read the previous books, and I really enjoyed this companion.

Katy thinks making wishes will fix everything for her. But sometimes it can be too much. I like that she was able to learn from the events that take place. After reading this, I want to star the rest of the series. It seems like Katy has a way of getting herself caught up in crazy things.
