I discovered this book several years ago trawling the Internet. There are very few books about the kibbutz experience. Sadly I was a little disappointed in this as John just seems to have sent his diary off to the printers as it was originally written. I have to thank John for this though, because it prompted me to write my own book from my diary I kept when living at kibbutz Dafna. Kibbutz Virgin is now a best seller!
