Rate this book
A Level 1 reader about a funny school-yard adventure.

In the school yard, a mother goose and her baby are separated by a boisterous class of first graders. John and Ben want to help the baby get back to its mother. But the only way they can help is if they are very quiet and very still--not an easy task for Mrs. Miller's lively class!

This is an easy book to read and is good for children who are just learning to read. It is a cute story with an easy plot to follow, along with that the sentence on the page are short with big letters so they are easy to see. Not only are the sentences short the words are beginner words. Overall this book is good for children to read and it could help get their love for reading started.

I didn't love this story. The first part seemed irrelevant to what was really going on for the rest of the book, and the pictures were a little odd. But my son liked it quite a bit. The part where the class has to be quiet and kids keep making noises was very cute and true to life. Also, the idea of a mother and baby goose finding each other is very endearing.
