This book is essentially a compilation of Chinese proverbs. The great aspect about this book is that it teaches you how to say the proverb in Mandarin Chinese. There are 100 of them, so they will all take quite awhile to master. In order to learn them properly, you must also know the basics of pronunciation (pinyin).
The proverbs themselves were an excellent read. The Chinese people I quizzed on them knew them well and could repeat them from memory. So, if you pick up this book and learn the proverbs, your Chinese friends will be impressed.
