Now, she must enter Limbo to try and find it, all the while fighting her attraction to her guide, the man who repossessed her car in the first place.

I love Shawntelle Madison's Coveted series, but Repossessed just didn't work quite as well for me. I did like the characters and I think the world started to fill itself in towards the end, but I still had some issues with a few elements.

Tessa is working as a supernatural matchmaker, but her business isn't making as much money as she had hoped. Because of her lack of funds, Rob has to repo her car which also has her Smythe scroll in it. Tessa uses the scroll to contact her clients that

Tessa Dandridge has been trying to live out the dream her grandmother created with a matchmaking business created from a belief that true love does exists for every species. Using some of her water witch skills she makes every attempt to create a love match regardless of the nature of the beast, so to speak. Her clients are part of a world where werewolves, warlocks, and witches exist not peacefully but a negotiated co-existence and while they are demanding they also pay very well to find the pe ...more

Tessa Dandridge is a witch and a supernatural matchmaker. Matchmaking is in her blood because this is what her grandmother did. Anyone who has tried to make it in N.Y. can tell you how tough it and being supernatural doesn't make it any easier. Tessa is in debt up to her eyeballs trying to keep her business afloat but she knows if she can just manage to hook one big client, she can save her business and be the success her grandmother always thought she would be.

I received an ARC through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review!

I loved Shawntelle Madison's world she created in this book. Magic isn't exactly welcomed, it's hidden from everyday people but possesses a quality that keeps it in the shadows. We get to see battling Warlocks, Wizards, and Witches.

I loved Tessa's character. Her determination, lifestyle, and job are perfect for her. A supernatural matchmaker, her job is harder than any other matchmakers. Not only does she need to find the perf

Amazing book by this very talented author who seems to specialise in urban fantasy. Set in a world of witches, warlocks and wizards and even the odd troll ! This is a fast paced read with lots going on and features a smart heroine and a quietly confident hero, sigh!
The story opens with Tessa a water witch who runs a matchmaking service for Supernaturals looking for love . Oh yes and it's strictly legit because if you want a call girl then you've definitely come to the wrong place! She struggling

Tessa is trying to keep her business afloat, juggling clients late with payment, new grumpy clients and relatives with a thorn in their side. Did I mention its a magical Matchmaker business?
While on a meeting in town, her car is repossessed. That would be manageable but in it, she had a scroll that is critical if shes to keep up her work and appointments.
Lost in limbo, and her only chance to get there, is to team up with the man who did the repossessing.

The action jumped from scene to scene, never really fleshing anything or anyone out. I never connected with the characters or the plot. I wasn't expecting anything heavy but I was expecting more than a rough draft.

She has done it again. I am so happy that Shawntelle has continued her pattern mixing real world problems with paranormal beings in an Urban setting. Repossessed is completely original and stays with you long after you read it.

One of the central themes of this book is something everyone understands- money. Tessa is trying to stay afloat in her supernatural matchmaking business and is weeks away from hitting a big payday with an extremely in

I really enjoyed the Coveted series, and when I saw that Shawntelle was releasing a new novel, I was impatient to get into it. In addition, the mention of the universe of the first series made me really curious. But this time, no more werewolves but witches and warlocks and two in particular, Rob and Tessa.

We thus discover Tessa, a young woman who runs an agency to help supernatural beings finding love. But whatever everyone thinks, it’s a lot harder tha

Truth be told, I had no idea what to expect when reading the title. I mean, come on, a Warlock Repo Man?But I can also honestly say I am more than happy to have had the opportunity to read this book and more than pleasantly surprised with how things turned out.

Having more than a few financial problems myself, I could definitely feel where Tessa was coming from. Determined to make it on her own and make her business a success, wit

This was fun and quick read that I was instantly hooked on. The writing had me smiling and laughing along the way with its quirky characters and the insanity that is their lives. I really hope this is the start of a fun new series.

Witch, Tessa Dandridge, is a matchmaker who uses a scroll to contact some of her most important clients. Warlock, Rob Shin, SEAL on leave and repo agent takes her car with the scroll inside. Tessa hooks up with Rob to do out repoing because she can only access Limbo (where her car is) when the gate opens for another repo item to be turned in. Unfortunately, the gate stays open for a brief time and doesn't open in the same place each time. The story is pretty much about their exploits. Tessa's an ...more

The benefits of reading Repossessed:

1) Dating Advice for paranormal beings.

At the beginning of each chapter there is a tip on how to date. Admittedly it is aimed at paranormal and supernatural beings, but there is plenty of good advice for regular humans as well. Such as, “Witches hate warlocks who want to jump into bed after the first date. Just because you can pull a rabbit out of your hat doesn’t mean you can pull something magical out of your pants.” How true is that!

2) Is this Paranormal or
There is a lack of world building in this story that left me confused as I started reading. The world is filled with witches and warlocks, but there is no explanation of their existence or motivations. I did love the fact that the hero, Rob, is Korean and that the story doesn't make an huge deal out of it, it's simply part of who he is, and he's damn attractive too. However, the heroine, Tessa, gets a bit of back story of being in debt because of her new matchmaking business and then all of a su ...more

After having read and loved Madison's Coveted and Kept, I wanted more, so I picked up Repossessed, which is set in the same universe as those books.

And this is a very enjoyable read.

I will confess I thought the main plot of Tessa trying to get back her scroll was a bit far fetched. I really couldn't believe that getting the scroll back through legal channels would be even more complicated than the way she's trying to get to the scroll.

But that aside this is a fun and entertaining read.

Compared to all of the other books I've read by Shawntelle Madison, this one was sort of a let down. It was a quick read, but the characters didn't grab me the way her other ones have. With Nat and everyone else in the Coveted series, I was drawn into the lives of the characters and into their struggles, and I wanted to see them succeed. With Tessa and Rob in Repossessed, I just never felt like I cared much about what happened in their lives. Nat had struggles and works to overcome them (whether ...more

I really, really wanted to love Repossessed because the premise sounded so good. Unfortunately the story was very fragmented and the world building lacked depth to keep my attention. Tessa and Rob are very likeable characters though, and I wish they could have been more developed as well. Perhaps I wouldn’t have felt so lost if I’ve read Shawntelle Madison’s Coveted series first, but just as a stand alone read I felt this book lacked detail to
This series this is based off of has quickly grown to become one of my favorites. In the case of this book, I especially liked how the main character in this installment was introduced in the second book of the Coveted series. As seems to be the case with all spinoffs for me, this wasn't quite as good as the series it stems from. I really missed Natalya and the rest of the wolves, but it was a nice tie-in and will certainly be looking for additional installments in this spinoff series.
