I was hoping for a book just about a little pumpkin, but this included some Halloween-type characters that I could have done without. This was a PUMPKIN storytime, not a Halloween one... Still, the kids who read it loved it, and I ended up using it for Halloween instead. I do like the use of the song, and the ending was cute. I'd only give it a 2 1/2 or three, because I thought it wasn't as lyrical as I'd prefer, but the fact that the kids wanted it over and over and over and over makes me bump ...more

Cute pumpkin story for toddlers, most of whom are very familiar with the Itsy Bitsy Spider story and tune, the format of which this book follows.

The itsy bitsy pumpkin climbed up the water spout... Don't tell me I'm the only one that had this play through their mind when they read this.

Using the tune of "The Itsy Bitsy Spider," this board book tells the story of a little pumpkin who goes on an adventure but becomes lost. Luckily he finds a helpful witch and is finally reunited with his family.

The illustrations are colorful and fun, and the board book version is sturdy and perfect for little hands. Those who scare easily may be frightened by the creepy ghosts and goblins depicted in the vivid pictures, but others will likely enjoy singing these festive new lyrics to a very fam

This is Bug’s favorite but I think that’s mostly due to the fact that it’s set to the Itsy Bitsy Spider tune. The story follows the pumpkin as he travels through a Halloween world only to become lost. With the help of a new friend he catches a ride home and the story ends happily. This is a basic, run-of-the-mill board book. No fancy flaps or textures but the sing song quality of it is what caught and keeps Bug’s attention and makes this a favorite. It’s sweet but slightly obnoxious, as I catch ...more

Celia got Lydia this book. She loves it. The stinky feet page is her favorite. She smells the feet and makes a hand motion to show they are stinky. The pictures are cute and brightly colored. The rhyme scheme is super easy (it follows itsy bitsy spider).

This has been one of our favorite books since my parents Labor Day visit and my mom bought a copy for your nephew Kellen. I had to get a copy for Liam. Such a fun update to Liam's favorite nursery rhymes Itsy Bitsy Spider.
