Suspenseful, sexy, and captivating from the start, Her Last Whisper is a pulse-pounding thriller romance that marks the pinnacle of this series – IMO this third book is the best!

I think everyone has an author (or a couple) where no matter what they write, you’ll read. Karen Robards is one of those authors for me. I’m a big fan of her romantic suspense and historical romance books but I was a bit wary of this series – there’s a slight paranormal edge to it and I don’t like to read parano

This is the third book of the series. I was upset that my library did not have the second book. So I missed one whole book. The good thing is that I was able to follow along with Charlie and Michael's romance, no matter how odd it was. I too loved Michael. I like Tony the FBI agent. But I loved Michael. The mystery the Gingerbread man was scary and creepy and I was just thankful that Michael was there to keep me occupied with the romance more than the fear of the suspense.

This is a great book.
This is the third book in the Dr. Charlotte Stone series, and I have to say that the initial surprise at what a unique series this is, has yet to wear off. Combining equal parts of paranormal, mystery, thriller, humor, romance and passion, the Dr. Charlotte Stone is one of the most well rounded series, I have ever read! Moreover, Her Last Whisper is sure to keep you constantly entertained with its two mysteries and two love stories.

Although it is possible to read this book as a standalone, as t

This is the 3rd novel in Dr Charlotte Stone Series by Karen Robards and despite a few gripes, I enjoyed it more than book #2, which ended when

Charlie was brought back to life by Michael Garland, the dead, now ghost serial killer that she’s fallen in love with, now begins with her decision to just work on her serial studies and not get involved with helping her FBI friends finding serial killers.

But when Tony, the FBI agent and friend asks her help in finding Lena, the other FBI agent’s missing

This series gets better with each book. I don't want to give away any spoilers so I won't assume you've read the first two books. If you like mystery, suspense, romance and a really good ghost story, check out these books. I really suggest starting with the first book, you won't be sorry.

I refuse to listen to another book in this series until it is ABSOLUTELY, UNEQUIVOCALLY the end.

Only 15 days into the new year and already I have my first 1 star rating. I've read one other book in this series. I found it entertaining fluff for 3 stars. This however, was not that.

There were so many things that had me rolling my eyes. However, there is only one thing that makes this 1 star and not 2. It was the writing. I can deal with the constant monologue of the MC, the ghost love story...whatever. BUT....the constant telling was hard to take for as long as this book was (and really, it
3.5 Stars!

I almost forgot I’ve been waiting for this sequel to come out…. After how everything ended on the last book, I have high hopes that the series will take the story up a notch, like say, Charlie’s seeing and communicating with the spirit going stronger and a relationship more defined maybe?

The story picks up where it left off…. Charlie is back to working at her old job, researching serial killers at Wallens Ridge State Prison. But, ever since her dying and being brought back to life expe

Oh my god. Where to start?

When I found out that Her last whisper was on Netgalley, I first thought that my request would be declined because I need to send more feedbacks. But anyway, I got approved and I was really excited to start reading it! I fell in love with these unique characters in the previous instalment and I had to know what happened to them afterward.

But I'll admit I was sceptical for the first 60% because I didn't really get into it. I liked it and it was nice to read but I wasn'

I just have to say I'm speechless... This is the best book in the series and with this ending....I don't know how I'll be able to wait for the next one. Amazing!!! Full review coming soon.

Have been a long time fan of Ms. Robards, gong back decades! Thrilled when I came upon this ARC via Netgalley. Many thanks!
This story is a series that follows Dr. Charlotte Stone, "Charlie," through her trials and tribulations as a serial killer researcher. She also has a "secret." She can connect with those who have died a violent death, and her ghost lover, Michael is one of them! Have to be honest, wasn't sure how the PRN would work for me, but having gotten a feeling about
Charlie and Michael's story continues, and the two are still arguing about her career choice as much as ever.

Charlie, who has barely recovered from nearly dying after helping the FBI with one of their serial killer cases, has returned to work at the prison without having processed what's happened to her. Michael, who knows that he can only help her so much if something were to happen again, is trying to convince her to leave her job once again, when (view spoiler)

I was thrilled to find this on Netgalley. I love the Dr. Charlotte Stone series! Her Last Whisper is #3 in series. It might stand alone, but I suggest you read the first 2. A great mix of suspense/thriller with steamy romance.

Karen Robards has done it again, she got me to forget time as I was completely engrossed in her latest installment of her Dr. Charlie Stone series. She has a very vivid imagination, creating some spectacular evil serial killers and scenarios.

I loved following Charlie, Michael, Tony, Buzz, and Kaminsky to Las Vegas on their latest case. The dynamic between all of the characters is phenomenal. Tony is still determined to try to get Charlie romantically interested in him, but Michael isn't about to

I'll say the same about each of the books in this series.....This book was fun, the plot twists were many, the men were hot, and the sex was hotter. That's all you need to know!

Seriously, this book kept me on the edge of my seat. I read 1-3 in 3 days. Each one leaves off with an awesome hook! Can't wait for #4 to come out.

By this third book, I was wondering how many times Charlie can realistically get caught by a serial killer and live to tell the tale. Come on, why does Charlie always have to g

I borrowed this book from my local library. A friend from good reads read it and she liked it. I was like her and wasn't disappointed in reading it. I hope the author has a sequel to it as it ended like there could be one. I hope to read more books by this author.

I really enjoyed the second half of this book, when the search for a serial killer in Las Vegas starts. Charlie joins an FBI team hoping to rescue a woman before she too is killed, with the help of her friend Tam, who is a psychic, and Michael, who is a hot ghost attached to her.

My rating is lowered because I got bored with the comments about this hottie's physique, and it took a long time (half the book) to get to the murder mystery. (The first part is mostly about paranormal stuff related to a

I can definitely say that Karen Robards Charlie Stone series makes for compelling reading. I started Her Last Whisper in the morning, and couldn’t keep myself from grabbing it at every opportunity; breaks, lunch, bus rides, making dinner, eating dinner, (taking the book to the bathroom with me…) etc. I finished before bedtime, because I couldn’t wait that long to wrap it up.

But there are definitely points where it’s compelling like watching a three-car pile

Her Last Whisper is the third book in the Dr. Charlotte Stone series by Karen Robards. I loved the first two books of this series enough to call them 5 star favorites.

This book has different paranormal aspects than my usual urban fantasy reads. Charlie (Charlotte) sees dead people and after her ordeal in book 2, now she hears them even if they aren’t with her. She is a doctor and studies serial killers. Tony,
I keep waffling between a 4 and 5 for this one. My gut and my infatuation for Garland keeps screaming 5, yet certain aspects of the book keep saying 4. We'll call it a draw and go with a 4.5, rounded up.

I've adored this series from the beginning; seemingly sound-of-mind Dr. Charlotte Stone finds herself romantically entangled with a ghost. Not just any ghost, mind you. The ghost of one Michael Allen Garland, inmate of Wallens Ridge State Prison until his untimely death inside the prison walls. C

I received an ARC of this book from the Publisher, via Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review.

This is book three in the series and absolutely is NOT a standalone. While I'll grant you a story about a criminal psychiatrist who can see the ghosts of the violently departed and is involved in a love triangle with a living FBI agent and a dead serial killer sounds like an altogether insane and confusing plotline, reading this book without reading the others is only going to make things worse. I really enjoyed the latest paranormal suspense novel from Karen Robards staring Dr. Charlotte Stone. This is actually the third book in the series and you do not have to read the previous two prior to reading this one (I haven't), but it would provide a little more background on the characters. Having read few novels in the paranormal genre, I was really apprehensive about reading it, but I have loved all of Karen Robards novels and I knew it had to give it a chance - and I'm so glad I did!

Her Last Whisper is the 3rd in the Charlotte Stone series. This series is fantastic, but should not be read as stand alone books, the series only works if you read them all and understand the background of this very very different series.

I have read several books by Robards throughout the years, so when I saw this book on Netgalley, I wanted to read it.

I know that Robards has changed her direction on what books she writes. This also added to the intrigue and I was excited to start this book.

From the beginning, I understood that this is one book in a series of books. I appreciated that distinction, as it prepared me that I might not understand everything going on. However, it was actually easy to follow. The author added in prev

Have you been following the tales of Dr. Charlie Stone and her ghost Michael. In Karen Robards series, readers have become attached to not only Charlie but also her ghost Michael who was an convict sentenced to death row for the murders of a number of females. Over the last two books, Michael has been a somewhat guardian angel to Charlie and if humans could fall in love with ghosts - then Charlie has fallen in love , well a part of her has fallen in love with Michael. This is book #3 in the series, I thought this story was stronger than the previous book, The Last Kiss Goodby. Charlie (Charlotte) is not only a psychologist who specializes in serial killers, but she also sees the dead. FBI agent Anthony Bartoli again asks Charlie for help on another case as women are missing in Las Vegas including the sister of his fellow agent, Lena Kaminsky. And of course, Charlie is accompanied by the ghost of Alleged killer, super bad boy Michael Garland.

Oh My Goodness, this book is a total page turner. I could not stop reading. Dr. Charlie Stone is recuperating from almost being killed but she is till working in prisons on her serial killer project.
Things go badly and another prisoner dies while she is there along with the occurance of some very hinky ghost issues.

She barely is out of that mess when she gets called to help the FBI squad she has helped in the past. apparently the sister of Lena, one of Charlie's biggest doubters, is missing an
