I have to admit that I was so curious going into this book!!! The blurb had me hooked but really didn't give any hint as to which characters the book was about... Turns out, it was about Jimmy and Jenna!

Everywhere I look, my friends are settling down - marriage, children, white picket fences; but not me. Marriage isn't in the cards for me. I’m a ladies man.

A rock star.

I was born and raised in the industry.

I love everything about my life, especially the attention from the women that my status brings me. Women find me. I don’t chase. I know what they want and they know I’ll deliver.

But after one look, one touch, one night...
Now I’m the one doing the chasing.

I need to find a way to show her that I’m serious, that I can change. I need to find a way to show her that I can love her fully, and only her. I need to find a way to show her that she’s my forever.

Please note that while each book in this series is a standalone about a different couple, the series will be far better appreciated if you read these books in order (see bottom of post). The connection between the characters builds from one book to the next as do their relationships and histories.

This is a story of a one-night stand that changed two lives forever.

Jimmy had grown up in the music industry and came from a long line of men who refused to be tied down. He was also a little different than Liam or Harrison because he didn't really live in Beaumont. He was in the band but he wasn't quite part of the family in the same way they were.

"She’s out of my league. I’m not smooth like Liam or romantic like Harrison. I can’t offer her stability or even a seven-day relationship. I’m damaged and broken. I’m a heartless bastard who only wants one thing and has no problem getting it."

Jenna had survived a brutal three-year marriage to a physically and mentally abusive jerk and finally had gotten away choosing to start her life over from scratch in Beaumont. But her ex caught up with her at the same time as she got unexpected news that could change her life forever. Luckily though, she was a part of the family in many ways, and her friends weren't going to let anything happen to her.

"You're family, Jenna. You're important to me… to us. Please let us help."

"He's dangerous."

"Yeah well my husband is big and likes to hit things so he can be dangerous too."

I'm going to admit that Jimmy and Jenna's relationship felt a little rushed in the first half of the book. While I was reading it, I wasn't quite sure how I felt about some of the developments. But then the more I thought about it, I realized that life rarely hands you a perfect cards and their situation was far from picture perfect but it was what they had and looking back on it, I can understand the way they handled it. It wasn't all hearts and flowers, but it was almost as if the point of this story wasn't about how they got together, but about how they handled things once they decided that they were committed.

At the crux of it all, we had a man who'd sworn to never again commit and a woman who'd suffered the worst at the hands of a man and whose faith in them had been broken. Jenna started out very timid, with a lot of insecurities and an understandably untrusting outlook towards men and so that made it that much more wonderful to see Jimmy go the extra mile to work at proving to her that she could trust him and that he would never betray her.

As with the first two books, I loved seeing this core group of characters together. They were rockstars but they were also this beautiful family bound together by strong connections built through romance and friendship. Watching them together was just so touching.

I really don't want to spoil the plot of this story but I will say while this book took me a little longer to connect to than the first two books, once I was hooked there was no turning back and it kept me up reading and flipping pages long into the night. I loved the ending and am eagerly awaiting the next in this series.

I'll leave you with this quote that, to me, really represents this story...

"I know what people think of me. I know you and everyone else thinks I’m a man-whore or I’m too young to be tied down. Maybe this will be temporary or maybe it will be for life, I don’t know, but it feels right. I don’t do commitments, but when I look at you, I see a future. I see my future.”

4+ stars

Title: Finding my Forever
Series: The Beaumont #3
Author: Heidi McLaughlin
Release Date:
Rating: 4 stars
Cliffhanger: No
HEA:

I love reading Heidi McLaughlin’s romances, because she is a master in creating friendships. She easily builds stellar world filled with realistic, funny and incredibly amazing people. It’s hard not to love them very much. This time, like previously I was hooked instantly. My deep love for band members, the women and children was still present and I was relieved to find out that my book boyfriends, Liam and Harrison got their happily ever afters and nothing changed for them.

After learning theirs stories, in the third book of The Beaumont series Jimmy ‘JD’ Davis, the biggest womanizer of 4224 West has a chance of telling us his deepest secrets. It was nice to see him in different light and knew what was hidden in his heart. I would be lying if I didn’t say that Jimmy was very sexy, because he did make me extremely hot and bothered.

The only thing that didn’t really work nicely with his personality was giving him the bad boy title, when he wasn’t really one. He was just like other guys from the band – nice, sweet and very loveable, so despite being lady-killer, Jimmy didn’t have an ounce of bad boy attitude. He definitely was relationship kind of guy, he was just too much hurt to realize it, but when Jenna caught his eye, she also found a way inside his heart.

I enjoyed reading his and Jenna’s story. It was very well thought, intriguing, sweet and everything I liked. It was not the best part of the series, though. As much as pleasurable it was, I’m still more swooning over Harrison and Liam. Don’t get me wrong, Jimmy was yummy – sweet rocker with broken heart, whom I totally dug, yet other boys were ‘it’ for me.

Jimmy and Jenna were a good match. At the beginning I didn’t get why things progressed between them so quickly, but afterwards, I adored them together and every moment they shared was almost perfect.

The few clichés that were thrown into the plot were still sweet, so I didn’t mind them much.

Overall, Finding My Forever is another hit of McLaughlin. Fans of the series will be swooning, melting and immensely enjoying reading third installment of Beaumont.

Started this 2 days ago and DNF it @49%. ZERO star
I should have stopped at the 1st 2 chapters when the heroine had zero intention to tell the father about the baby. Even after being a witness of her bff heartache in 1st book (FOREVER MY GIRL) where the hero found out he had a kid 9 years later. Meaning the worst kind of people. She had no reason to make a choice to the father excusing her decision that a kid would get in the way of his rockstar lifestyle. It’s his choice not hers. She wanted that ons one night stand as much as him. She has no right to make drama about it.
Between the beginning and the 49% there was a pity party, poor me, my life is not fair, from the h. She completely ruined this book with her lack of intelligence and self esteem. She was always waiting for the hero to cheat, to leave, to get tired of her, to realize his mistake to have married her, to get back to his manwhore ways, because oh woe is me what could he possibly have seen on me, he married me for the baby and he doesn’t love me, be how and why would he? Chapters on her pov were eye rolling. In real life she would be someone without friends because if people are someone like me they would not have patience for so much pessimism. BTW, she was in an abusive relationship where her ex husband used to hit her. She learned nothing from that though. Once he showed up in her door steps and guess what: she didn’t tell anyone. I will never know the outcome of this stupid action because I stopped reading but we know what will happened.
But the reason I really stopped reading if the reasons above were not enough: she went to her monthly pregnancy check up. Hero wasn’t with her and she was getting the side eyes from all other pregnant women with husbands by their sides. She was getting the pitiful stares and all of them were judging her because her husband wasn’t by her side or because she was single doing it on her own.
Seriously, this really happens in an ob-gyn waiting room? I was pregnant twice and have gone many times by myself for those check ups and I saw other moms by themselves too. Where is written that is mandatory for the baby father to be there for all doctor’s visits?? For the love of anything: what about those women who decides to have a baby alone? What about those who decide to keep the baby even if the father doesn’t want anything to do with it. What about those whose husbands are deployed, or they have to travel for work? Or something came up and they couldn’t be there with their baby mama?
Where is this doctor’s office where you are judged by women whose partner are there by their sides and you’re alone? I stopped in this chapter because it was outrageous, misleading and not true. And believe me, that was the worst inner monologue of all. Heroine was so pathetic I wished she would give her baby for adoption to a more loving, level headed family. This female mc is a dark cloud in human form.
In last note and I thought I would never say this for this series, I feel sorry for the hero.

Nope. I do not like it. The story is very confusing and typical NA soap opera. Miss McLaughlin losing her signature touch on Finding My Forever. Forever My Girl is still my favorite from this series. Finding My Forever is my least favorite from this series. The banter/ conversation between characters are stiff and have no emotional connection.

Even with Jimmy's family history, it still can not provoke my sympathy for this story. And Jenna is just... dramatic. The romance story between Jimmy and Jenna is insta lust. The baby drama makes the story worse.

WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED!?! I was expecting a really good, heartfelt pregnancy storyline, thanks to a one night stand between two fun characters, but I what I got was a complete and utter mess of immature people with their immature and nonsensical decisions. I have so much to say about this story, especially the characters that I think it's better if I do a list type review.

Backstory

Both Jenna and Jimmy had a really good backstory. Jenna was a victim of domestic abuse from her first marriage. After years of suffering under her husband's abuse, Jenna finally took a step and with the help of her parents, she divorced that bastard and moved to Beaumont. I loved that Jenna never lived in fear considering the life she has lead before, that instantly proved how strong and brave she was. She had a life of her own, didn't depend on anyone and had a very positive outlook towards life. Jenna could've been such a good character if she wouldn't have stopped with her insecurities regarding Jimmy's womanizing past after they got married. Literally everytime he was around a girl, she would doubt him for cheating or worst, thinking he would divorce her after he realized he's not fit for marriage. Her ability to stress out over little things and not enjoying the moment instantly made her annoying and irritating to me. But more on that later. Jimmy on the other hand was a very cool guy, a bit relationship phobiac, but it's understandable seeing his first wife cheated on him. I loved that he took responsibility when needed and remained fair with everyone. What I didn't like about Jimmy was that his tendency to keep things from Jenna regarding his first wife and then later on acting as if it was no big deal. Both characters made really stupid decisions in this book and collectively pushed the story down the drain. It was a mess!

Romance

As far as I could tell, there was no real romance. Jenna and Jimmy slept together during Liam and Josie's wedding, hence the pregnancy, but never really had any connection that could be termed as a beginning of romance. Even at the time the story took place, I never felt their love! Jenna was constantly worrying over Jimmy walking out on her and Jimmy was suddenly too attracted to Jenna and it didn't seem real. On top of that, their marriage was such a joke. One moment I'm reading about their vacation in Bora Bora and the next instant, they are married. Just like that, with no scene, no setting, no emotion. Did they get married on a post it note like Grey and Derek? What happened?!? The ending was okay, but honestly if the beginning didn't pull my heartstrings, I don't expect the end to that job. To sum it up: the romance was very, very disappointing!

Plotline

Pregnancy storylines, no matter how cliched or predictable are one of my favorite to read. They bring out that motherly quality of nurture and protectiveness that I'm sure every girl loves, but this is probably the only book where I didn't even care for the pregnancy And I think it mainly comes down to me disliking Jenna so much. Finding My Forever starts with Jenna discovering her pregnancy and keeping it a secret from everyone, especially the baby's father. One thing I didn't get was why Jenna made the father sound so mysterious to the readers in the beginning, it was clear from the last book that Jimmy was going to be that man, so why the unnecessary secrecy? Overall, this book was full of drama and not the kind I like to read about! Some of it included the exes, the other pregnancy, the daddy drama and just a whole bunch of annoying issues.

All in all, Finding My Forever is by far my least favorite book in this series, I didn't find anything redeemable in it. The characters were confused and in their own world. The story was messy and haywired, and I'm not even talking about the random flashbacks inserted in almost every chapter. Bottomline, I wasn't happy with this installments, but since my reading buddies somewhat enjoyed this book, I would direct you to their review where you can decide if this is for you or not (Link will be provided by the end of today. Sorry for the delay).

4.5 "Sweet Lips" Stars!!

We met Jimmy in the first 2 books in this series and he was known as a real manwhore in those books. He is the youngest member of the band and comes from a father in the same business. His philandering aside, Jimmy is a real charmer and I did it as an audio and so his English accent was a real plus!

Jenna, we also met in the first books since she is friends with both Josie and Katelyn. I really liked her character since she did not feel that she needed a man. She’s divorced now but her first marriage was to a very abusive man. She seems to have come out of that marriage just fine and is a very self-assured young lady.

This book caused me to battle with my feelings concerning the storyline since the lack of communication was driving me nuts. Both characters put off sharing vital information that was killing me………of course that is probably what made it more interesting.

All and all I really liked this one and probably liked it more than the first two books.

Not sure what to say about this one, except I was thoroughly enjoying it until around 26% when I had to turn back a few pages to see if I missed something. I didn't really feel the love until quite far into the book.

My least favourite of the series, but I did devour it in half a day so I can't say it was a bad book, I loved the 2 main characters and I thought Jimmy was written well as a Londoner so all in all I would recommend.

This installment brings us Jimmy's story. The lone wolf of the group, the last single guy standing. He's a touch of a womanizer with a heart of gold, not quite the bad-boy - just one that is a bit wounded. Jimmy still lives the fast life of a rock star. Traveling between L.A. and Beautmont. One city gives him the fast life and the fast girl he craves and the other is where his family is, where she is.

Jenna's lived in Beautmont for a few years, she's established a new life - far away from her old one. She hasn't let a man in for years, but there is something about Jimmy that her body just reacts to. She knows he'd never physically hurt her but she also knows that he's not the staying type. He's the one-night stand type.

One night is going to change everything for these two. One is not sure if he can break the pattern and be worthy enough, one unsure if she can protect her heart from a man that she can't trust to be faithful. Both want the same thing, but one has to fight to prove it.

I don't think that any of these guys could live up to Liam for me, there was just something about that story that just can't be topped. Jimmy was not too far behind though. I absolutely fell in love with this charming womanizer with an accent. Jenna was a perfect mixture of damaged and strong. Her trust issues in Jimmy were understandable, although there were times when she was just not seeing what was right in front of her. She also had a secret that she held on to for far too long, well a few of them. I wanted her to see the family she had in these guys and gals and embrace them and have faith in them. It took her a while to get there, but she finally did see what she had.

I adore Heidi's writing style and how sweetly she constructs her romances, but gives us a bit of angst and drama at the same time. She also has a talent for wrapping up her stories in a way that never feels rushed. I am excited that we will get another installment of this series with more Liam to drool over, although I am sure that he won't be as squeaky clean as he's been in the last few books.

Jenna & Jimmy's story gave us just enough heat with a ton of sweet. Each of these couples have given this series something a bit different, I felt like this particular story not only gave us a new piece, but gave a piece back to each of the characters that they were missing. It's hard to form this particular thought into words, and I can't really explain the 'what' that led me to this feeling since it is a major part of the story (although it is part of the story from the start). That is one of my favorite experiences when reading, when the author can give you something that was beyond their story, their words.

This is a fantastic series for those who love a true romance. Rock Stars that aren't all rough and tumble, each book offers a different type of love story that is filled with emotion.

can't wait for y'all to read this!!!!

I'm going to start of by saying I think that Heidi McLaughlin is one very underrated contemporary romance author.
With each story she writes, the bar is raised higher. She brings a story that has the reader become more and more invested.
I have always loved the aspects of family and loyalty in the Beaumont books. And as Heidi writes about each of the guys of 4225 West, those elements become more layered and solidified.
Jimmy is no exception. His smart mouth and loose ways find focus and reason in FINDING MY FOREVER. And I would be lying if i didn't say his British 'charm' didn't make me all hot and flustered. Jimmy's rockstar persona is only part of the allure. Behind all the music, the women, the slang and quips, Jimmy wants what every heart wants-- to give it to someone else.
Heidi McLaughlin does a fabulous job of keeping the other members of 4225 West in the story and building their stories to keep us in the loop (so to speak) without overshadowing the main story. Ultimately they are interwoven with each other because of the whole family and loyalty aspect.
Many times, i find myself getting bored with series by the third book. With the Beaumont Series, I never want them to end. Finding My Forever had a beautiful balance of angst, suspense, love, schmexy and good heart mojo. Although the Beaumont Series is about these gorgeous rock boys, the stories do not rely on the rock god hottie facto to carry the books. That's what ames these books worth reading. They are feel good books that go beyond the tattoos, drums, guitars and groupies.
And as I said before Heidi is extremely underrated. I hope that you will take the time to discover her stories and see her love for writing in them. Not to mention Liam, Harrison and Jimmy are so delish in every way!!!

5/5 I LOVE JIIIMMMAAAAYYYY HEARTS

JIIIMMMMYYYYYY... all I can picture is Ray Liotta in Goodfellas slapping the shower wall yelling JJJIIIIIMMMAYYY...c'mon you know this scene

I know you are all probs like ok wtf does this have to do with the book? well nothing actually but I love JJJIIIMMMMMAAYYYY and when I say that I picture the gif above that's the way I say it. Yeah I know I am weird what can I say?

I don't know about all of you but I absolutely love when I find a series where I get so absorbed in the characters and the story that for days after I get all *sigh*

That is how I am feeling with this 3rd book of the Beaumont series. I honestly didn't know how Heidi could top Harrison or Liam but then I met JIIIIMMMMAAAAYYYY! HOLY SHIT! HOLY HOLY HOLY SHIIIIZZZLE! he is like WOW!

Jimmy has been through a great deal in his past. He is the only one in the group that is not settled down and has no plans to do so. He is a man-whore and he makes no apologies. Then he meets Jenna and all bets are off. When he finds out her secret he wants to find a way to help her. Oh and man his way of helping is pretty shocking.

Jenna is the sweet girl who is friends with Josie and Katelyn. She has a dark past that she wants to keep hidden. She is a strong woman who keeps a secret (well a few) that she knows could alter a certain persons life. I really don't want to give to much away. Let me see if I can give you an overview with out spoiling anything.
There are pregnancies, stalkers, ex's that are pieces of crap, love that is found, tragedy, drama, crying (from me mostly), beautiful words spoken, songs written, and just all around awesomeness. How was that?

Heidi has done an amazing job of creating a world in which I would love to be apart of. This book is just another reminder of how she can make me be so engrossed in a book that I forget that children need to be picked up and dinner needs to be made. It shows that family is not only blood. There are scenes that touched my heart, pulled my heart strings and made me cry. I recommend this book well the whole series to EVERYONE. Heidi knows how to write and has the ability to make me feel everything the characters do.

NOTE: This is a different review for me, its going to seem choppy but these are my thoughts I wrote down WHILE I was reading the book.

I am so confused by this book I don't even know where to start. Maybe it's because I'm reading so late at night or because its been a while since I've read the other books in this series but all I can think while I am reading this is what the hell is going on and, this is nothing like Harisons book. For instance he keeps calling her his best friend yet they have hardly been talking to each other, and now all of a sudden he wants to marry her and once they do get married all she can think about is him cheating in the future. It's really hard for me not to throw my hands up and be done with this book. This is really frustrating! The self doubt is continuing thought out their marriage and frankly Jenna is getting on my nerves, she seems very immature at times. There also seems to be a lot of jumping one minute they're on their honeymoon and the next they're back in Beaumont and shes talking about being around his band, but that's not explained until nearly a paragraph later?

After struggling I've finally finished this book, looking at all the other reviews I feel like I've ready a completely different book. The flow just wasn't there for me and ALL of the drama just got tiring. How this band even makes money or tours is beyond me. After reading this one I'm not really sure I will read the rest of the series.

I was in love with Heidi McLaughlin's Beaumont Series long before I ever turned the first page of this book. After finishing this book, I am even more in love and found myself doing a quick google search before I even finished the last chapter in hopes of finding a sneak peak of what's next for this series!

Heidi is a gifted writer. the voice she gives to her characters is unlike any other writer I have read recently and I love it! The alternating POV's work marvelously, and I feel like I have a direct link to her characters souls.

Jimmy has a bad boy image, but he isn't really a bad boy. Deep down he like the other members of 4225 West- is a good guy, an honest guy, and when he commits himself to something he does it with every part of his being. He wants a future with Jenna and come hell or high water he is going to do his damnedest to make it happen.

Jenna narrowly escaped her past abusive marriage, so she is leary and Jimmy's relationship proceeds itself. She finds it hard to resist him, but will Jimmy be able convince her he is for real?

I loved this story. I love how the members of the band are a family, and all come together to help each other. It was great visiting with the rest of the gang (Harrison especially- he is my book boyfriend, although I do have a giant crush on Jimmy as well).

I give Finding My Forever - 6 STARS on a 5 Star scale. This series can be read stand alone, but I recommend reading it in order. You will fully appreciate the characters, as well as the authors amazing storytelling.

What are you waiting for, the pre-order for this book is available right now!!!

JD - Jimmy Davis is the odd man out in the band. Liam and Harrison are settled down living in Beaumont with their happily ever afters. Jimmy still is living in LA, shagging any woman he can take, which is just about anyone who speaks or looks at the dashingly handsome Brit rock star. Who knew that one night or one woman would change his outlook on life.

Jenna had thought that her past was far behind her. She was finely happy. But life starts crumbling around her. She knew her family in Beaumont would be there for her but the least likely person to come to her rescue has her confused. Why was Jimmy all of a sudden wanting to be there for her. Wasn't he the womanizing man-whore who never cared about the women he bedded.

Suddenly Jimmy and Jenna find themselves in a situation that neither of them ever planned for themselves. Jenna is trying to trust Jimmy and Jimmy is trying to prove that he has changed but will it be enough?

First there was Liam. I thought I was lost to him. Then came Harrison and his love for Katelyn and his patience with her blew me away. But JD oh my Jimmy...Jimmy Davis has taken me to the moon and back! This man oh this man. I am a wreck because of him. I stayed up until 2 am to finish reading the book and then went back to re-read some of my favorite parts. Heidi engulfs me in her storytelling and I get lost in this world of angst, pure love and devotion and suspense. You can never go wrong with boys from 4225 West! These books I can read over and over again. Falling more in love not only with these amazing men but their women prove to be just as strong and courageous. I so hope this is not the end of the road for this series. It's one of those that you want to go on forever. At least some novellas - something! Yes I am begging Heidi! 5 Rock n Roll Stars for Finding My Forever!

4.5 Jimmy and Jenna Stars

I actually read this book ages ago but it was pre my Goodreads era! A couple of weeks ago I watched the film of Forever My Girl on Netflix and then immersed myself back into Beaumont. This is such a good series & I love these characters.

In essence this is the love story of Jimmy ( guitar man of 4225 West) and Jenna , waitress/ florist / friend of the band & Josie and Katelyn. Jimmy and Jenna have a one night stand with long lasting consequences. He is a ladies man. She has escaped a violent marriage. He is a rich Brit. She is a pretty cool American girl. And somehow these two work.

Lots of drama with both their exes. We see Jimmy with his ex and it’s fairly intimate. She makes moves on him after he is with Jenna but he is not unfaithful to Jenna.

HEA? Yes
Cheating? No. But scenes with OW that are sexual.
Triggers? Yes. Domestic abuse and violence.

Loved the first two but just can't say the same for this one. While it was good the major thing that had me dropping stars was that it didn't flow. It didn't flow because when ever there was a flash back to past memories there was no prelude to them or different writing font or even a space in paragraph which made me really confused throughout the book on what was current or not. You even had to read a few sentences to realise when it was back in present mode. I was constantly having to re read things and because of that it didn't make this book very enjoyable, reading wise. Still enjoyed all the characters and sexy times but that writing style was just a major flaw for me.

Since kindle app was given wrong file with the flashback errors I change my rating to 3.5*

A hot, bad boy rocker who is so much more. A strong, sweet woman in need of healing. Together, Jimmy and Jenna are explosive on the page!!

Heidi McLaughlin does it again. Emotional and addictive, FINDING MY FOREVER seriously had me chugging caffeine just so I could stay awake and finish it. I could not put it down! I fell hard and fast for JD, and rooted for Jenna to finally find her happily ever after. LOVED THIS ONE :)

First impression:
I love the cover and the guy certainly fits the image of Jimmy in my mind. I was curious to know more about Jimmy. Both he and Jenna were still a bit of a mystery to me when I started this one. Sure, we knew who they were, but I didn't know much about them. I was anxious to get started. I had a feeling that Jimmy would win me over.

The story:
After a memorable one night stand, Jimmy can't get Jenna off his mind. But trying to win her over isn't easy. He has a reputation of being a ladies man, so it's hard for Jenna to take him seriously. She can't be a toss away girl. She wants commitment. She wants forever.

Jenna has been running from her dangerous past for a few years. She's found a good life in Beaumont. She's gotten to meet some amazing people and even live out a few fantasies. One particular fantasy involved a sexy Rocker. She thought they could remain friends and she never expected anything more. But, the fates have other plans for Jimmy and Jenna. One that ties them together...forever.

The characters:
I adored both Jimmy and Jenna. I honestly thought Jimmy might be a bit much for me to handle before I got to know him. But, in this book I learned that Jimmy really does have a heart of gold. He's a player because he's been hurt in the past. The more I got to know Jimmy and also saw the way he treated Jenna, he really won me over.

Jenna...I liked her. I had no idea about her past before this book. It was a bit unexpected actually. What I liked the most about Jenna was the fact that she was willing to see that Jimmy was more than just a star. I loved that she trusted him to take care of her and that she let their relationship progress naturally, considering the situation they were in. I mean...they do get married quickly, but with reason. I really did feel like their relationship developed nicely.

What didn't work for me:
There wasn't really much I didn't like about their overall story. I did feel like the Jenna portrayed in the last book was a bit different than what I saw here. I think going into this book, I thought she was a bit more...sassy?

With Jimmy, I liked getting the flashbacks about his childhood, but I kept forgetting he grew up in the music industry. His dad seemed more like a business man or something. It didn't make much of an impact on my overall thoughts, but it bugged me a bit for some reason.

Overall:
I really enjoyed Jimmy and Jenna's story. Jimmy is probably the sweetest of the bunch, but has just enough of an edge to make him wicked sexy! He and Jenna are a really great match. I want to mention that I love that Liam is the glue to this group. I adore Liam and I'm finding it hard to see the magic that was in Forever My Girl repeated. However, I do appreciate each couple for different reasons. Finding My Forever delivered some great steam, some intense drama, and a really great love story! I definitely recommend this series.

This story centers around JD and Jenna.

This book is much like the 1st two, a very sappy romance. If could have got a five star from me but there were some obvious holes to the ending. That said it is my favorite book of the three so far as in this held action and suspense as well as the twist and turns we found in books one and two.

JD is a womanizer just like his father and grandfather. He is a hit it and quit it guy through and through. A couple of months ago we were at a wedding for his band mate, Liam and his reunited childhood sweetheart, Josie. A one night hook up is about to change his life.

Jenna is hiding secrets from her friends, only Josie and Katelyn know the one about her past. The one about her present no one knows. She is pregnant and worse her baby daddy is connected to the all. When they are in Josie's florist/cafe shop listening to music acts her past finds her. Enter Damien Mahoney. He is her abusive, mentally and physically, ex-husband. When he makes a painful grab of Jenna's arm in the cafe the secrets she has hidden are about to be exposed but worse her safety is threatened and now her friends are at risk also. She always knew he would find her.

The band, JD included steps up to keep her safe. JD especially, for he hasn't been able to get her out of his mind. Learning she is in danger only heightens those facts. Soon Jenna must reveal her secret to them. But not JD. That is until Liam makes a strong case why she should.

From here we see the pair bound, fall into love while still facing the risk of the ex-husband when the finally the sh*t hits the fan will they both realize that the others are what they need in this world.

My issues are with the pure sappiness of the men in this series. I am sorry no one is a perfect and romantic and I will change my life as these guys are. Another huge issue is when the initial trouble starts they hire more security. Then they have the climactic instance and after no security? That may be confusing but you will agree after you finish the book.

This was yet another great addition to this series. While I enjoyed Jimmy and Jenna's story I didn't initially connect with them. There were times I would have liked more of their initial encounter to give more of a foundation to what was in store for them. After realizing his feelings for Julia, some of the things Jimmy said and did were so beyond sweet that they left me swooning (don't worry Harrison I still love you the best). Jenna drove me bat crap crazy a few times. When she finally settled down her love for jimmy was heartwarming and their love for each other practically jumped off the pages.

As always have Liam, Josie and the rest of the gang involved was an added bonus which reminded me just how much I love this series.

5 Estrellitas bien ganadas.

I really enjoyed this book but I have to be honest and say that it was my least favourite of the whole series. That's not necessarily a bad thing though, Liam and Harrison are just pretty hard to beat.

I'm just going to jump right in with my main complaint. The beginning of the relationship. The book is written in such a way that, in the beginning, we know Jenna and Jimmy have shared some sort of past, but we never actually witnessed it. We are just supposed to believe that this one night stand between the two of them lead to them both having such intense feelings towards the other, but nobody (including the other) know about it. I just didn't buy it. I love the build up to a relationship in my reads, I don't want there to be some secret past one minute and the next the couple are mad about each other. It made me have zero connection to their relationship and I just didn't believe it.
"I've been thinking about you since that night, Jenna. Every day, I see you when I close my eyes. You're burnt into my skin and I've been fighting my demons every time I'm near you."

The characters themselves I enjoyed reading about, well mainly Jimmy. Being British I love reading about British characters (really not so common) and Heidi wrote Jimmy perfectly. I could just imagine the type of guy he was and I could connect to him instantly. He's your typical rockstar.. loves to party and settling down just isn't on the cards for him anymore. It was.. once upon a time, but one girl ruined that and now that's the last thing he wants in life. I found it sad to hear of a person like that, but I got Jimmy 100%.
"I'm damaged and broken. I'm a heartless bastard who only wants one thing and has no problem getting it."

Jenna, I had a few issues with. I had to understand her to a certain extent because she had been through an awful time in a previous relationship, but her attitude towards her relationship with Jimmy drove me mad at times. She was over the top insecure and it got a little tiring to read about. I almost wanted to shake sense in to her.

There were also a few overly dramatic scenes thrown in (unnecessarily, IMO) that I got tired of too, sometimes I don't need all that drama, but on the whole this was another book by Heidi that I absolutely loved and can continue to say that The Beaumont Series is one of my favourites. I always look forward to what's next from these guys and she never disappoints.

As soon as I finished My Unexpected Forever, I'd hoped that there will be another Beaumont book coming our way. I mean there had to be. We got Liam's story in Forever My Girl. Then we got to know Harrison, but what about the younger, wilder Jimmy "JD" Davis? We had to have his story too and Heidi certainly didn't let her readers down. I thought Harrison and Katelyn held the monopoly on hotness in My Unexpected Forever, but I WAS WRONG because Jimmy is hot, hot, hot!

As sexy and alluring as Jimmy is, we get to know that he is more than just eye-candy. He has a past that has shaped who he is and determines what he wants in his future. I liked that he was younger than the other band members because we got to see a different perspective of band life through his interactions with his fans.

In Finding My Forever, we also get more of Harrison and Katelyn and Liam and Josie, and let me just say that Liam is a bit of hard ass in the truest, most admirable sense of the word. He isn't just the lead singer of 4225 West, he does everything he can to protect and take care of his own. And I love him for that!

I love this story so hard. As much as I was tempted to rush through it, I took my time reading because I was caught up in the emotions of the characters and what they went through and the way it made me feel to read about them. In her writing, Heidi really captured the characters falling in love with each other. It isn't just attraction and sex. The emotions of caring about someone, and giving themselves over to the love they were experiencing rang true and was authentic. I loved all of the flirty moments which added lightness and humor with the little winks and grins.

I must mention the cover of Finding My Forever. All of the other covers have been gorgeous (It was the Forever My Girl cover that drew me to this series in the first place), but this is my absolute favorite cover (so far) of the Beaumont series. I love how the girl is turned toward "Jimmy" with the her hip cocked like she is giving just as much attitude as she is getting. It is a perfect depiction of what happens in the story.

With the many books I own and my ever-growing TBR list, I don't reread books very often. Yet, I make an exception for the Beaumont series books. I've reread all of the books many times throughout this year because these are characters that I can't get away from. And I don't want to. Forever My Girl and My Unexpected Forever have become my "go-to" books and now I'm adding Finding My Forever to the list. As long as Heidi keeps writing, I'll keep reading and recommending her books.

I am lost. I am wandering down the desert highway, tears streaming down my face, searching for answers. I don't know what to do or say. I am a ball of conflicted emotions.

Do I wait and let it all settle and then write my review?

Do I just put it all out there?

Is my head just overly stimulated that I am just confused?

So here is where I will start.

Forever my girl will stand on my favorite shelf for life. It is a 5 star read for me. My unexpected forever is by far my favorite in the series. That book is a 6 star read for me. I still to this day think about that book. It made my love for Heidi McLaughlin solid.

Finding my forever. SIGH. Big fucking SIGH
sigh photo: sigh sigh.gif

First, I want to tell Heidi that she did a phenomenal job with a huge aspect of the book. It was touching, it was 100% spot on and it made me feel. I had to step away for a moment so that I could gather my feelings. I can't go further into this for spoiler reason and my own reasons, but it was just no words.

I loved Jimmy. He was a hot rocker god with a smart ass mouth that I want to kiss me all over with. Plus he has an accent.

I hate men with English accents. Said no women ever

I loved all the side characters, especially Liam. He was such a protective older brother and then bam he as all mushy. I loved how he reacted to certain things and the way he stuck up for Jimmy.

High five Liam
high five photo: High Five HighFive.gif

I wanted to love this book. I wanted to fall head over heals for it. But something about it didn't let me. It wasn't the writing, because Heidi is brilliant when she writes. It wasn't the leading the man, he made me swoon and fall in love with his witty banter and the way he wanted to give the world to Jenna.

It had the WTF moments that I love, it had the angst that I crave, but something, I can't really pin point made me not love it. There were moments that I literally set down my iPad and walked away. I couldn't keep going because it was just to much.

So I will leave you with this. I liked this book and I will read everything Heidi writes. I think I will re-read this book when life settles down and I can give it my all. I think that maybe the reason I couldn't love it.

ARC kindly provided in exchange for a fair and honest review. Spoiler- free. 4.50 - 5.00 rock stars.

Jimmy is a quintessential man-slut rock star…but happens to have a huge with a heart of gold. He doesn’t think he will ever settle down like his band mates in 4225 West. While at the wedding of his band mate he hooks up with the brides close friend Jenna. One night of off the charts passion turns something both of them never expected. Jimmy and Jenna have to deal with plenty of obstacles with crazy and dangerous ex-lovers looking to tear this couple apart. Will their past issues keep them from a happy future?

I loved the first two books and was wondering if Heidi would be able to replicate the magic again in FMF. Finding My Forever not only surpassed my expectations it happens to be my favorite book in this series. This was a perfect a rock and rock fairy tale addition to this series. This story had the same smooth and sexy vibe as the other books but with a few crazy drama fueled moments that made it a stand out for me. It had the right of amount of angst and drama and steam. I have to say I *really* liked the first two books in this series…but LOVED book #3. I would highly recommend reading the first two books in this series (not only because they rock) but so you can understand the bigger picture with past relationships etc. I really enjoy Heidi's writing style and have to say I love the new cover design look!

Oh Jimmy how I love you *whispers* I think he's become my favorite. Maybe it's his British accent, this is a dual POV and I did find myself reading his chapters with a British accent lol. Maybe it's because he's actually sweet and incredibly romantic and thoughtful. Or, maybe it's a little of each.
Going into this one I kind of had an idea of where Jimmy's story would be headed, however, the turn of events far surpassed my expectations! Jimmy wasn't at all what I was expecting. Yes, in the previous two books he was the bachelor, the perpetual "uncle" to all of his friends kids. He never wanted to settle down...but sometimes people change their mind. Right? In this installment of the Beaumont series Heidi cranks up the heart pounding moments! There were twists that left me gasping and yelling "noooooooo, oh why God nooooooooo" and turns that had me cheering for Jimmy every time he fought for his Forever. There were moments so tender between him and his Sweet Lips that made me melt faster than a popsicle on a hot summer day. And at the same time, his dirty mouth made me fan myself lol. His declarations of love were so beautiful, and heartfelt I couldn't not fall in love with him. This series has quickly become a favorite of mine and I can't recommend it enough, if you haven't read Heidi's books yet you really are missing out!

What was my reaction reading this book?

Holy Sh*t, Wow, F*ck!

And then I’m crying and then I’m laughing and then I’m crying again!!!

This book was such an emotional rollercoaster that you just did not want to get off of!!

I love love love the beautiful British Jimmy “JD” Davis. His character develops greatly throughout this entire book. He's not the typical rock star and he proves time and time again that he is not only worthy of her love but that he truly deserves it! (Don't ask me who because I won't tell you!) His devotion to his woman is astounding!

Loved that we got a lot of Liam, Josie, Jenna, Harrison and Katelyn!!
They were GREAT!!

Liam as always is the protector and will make sure his family...all of his 4225 West and outside family are taken care of and safe from harm!

Harrison, what's to say about the wonderful Harrison....he's just Harrison!! There’s one line that only Harrison would say and it really makes you LOL!! To the fullest!!!

This series so far has been absolutely amazing and I cannot wait for more from Heidi McLaughlin!

I gave this book a resounding 5 stars and trust me, you will not be disappointed!!

I really can’t wait for everyone to read!

Finding My Forever is my least favorite book in this series. This time was clear, that author of this book is woman, because there is no way that all the men are so perfect and sensitive. Just... no. Also I didn't find connection with main charactersand the story wasn't so catchy and interesting.

I was hoping there will be other woman as Jimmy's true love than Jenna. It was nice to read her story, but I would appreciate someone from 'outside world'. I am starting to be bored by the same scheme and I hope that following books will give me something new.

description

What I liked was Jenna's reaction on . Thank you for no unnecessary drama! And the chapter where Jenna is giving a birth is hilarious. I laughed out loud and read it three times!

"I can't do this anymore," I say, out of breath.
"Yes, you can, Sweet Lips. Just one more time."
"Oh, what do you know? You're never touching me again with that evil penis of yours. It's bad news."
"Okay."
"Okay? What, am I not sexy enough to have sex with now? Is it my fault my vagina is going to be as wide as the Atlantic?"
