If you're looking for a break from the typical alpha heroes that you'd find in books lately, then you really need to meet Flynn Foley. Flynn will definitely remind you that the sweet nice guys can still make you just as swoony as the bad boys, and certainly be just as sexy.

The chemistry between Flynn and Aubrey was off the charts hot. Even though things heat up between them pretty early in the story, it never felt rushed. ma

3.5 - All this faking was fun until someone got hurt. Stars.

The Game for It series has been a mixed bag for me. We started with the good, in book one with Game for Marriage, the bad with book two Game for Trouble, thankfully book three Game for Tonight is definitely not ugly. Karen bought this series back with a really great finale.

Both Flynn and Aubrey have featured in the previous two books, Flynn being the golden boy of the San Jose Hawks, and Aubrey one of its publicists. The two have always

The third instalment in the series was my least favourite. I couldn't connect with the main characters and it was shallow and without depth. No character development, cliché plot, rushed love story with a lot of sex but not much talking or doing anything that could actually create such a "big love".

Flynn is Hawk's QB but he only warms the bench. Not because he isn't good, but because Jared Quinn (Game for Marriage) is the star of the team. There are rumors about him - that he's still

Why have I not read any of the books from this series before? Now I know what I've been missing, I will be reading the previous books ASAP!!

"Game for Tonight" was my kind of book. It had everything that I love: Passion, chemistry, drama, and some smoking hot sex scenes!!! I was consumed by this story right from the very beginning and I absolutely loved it!!!

I loved Aubrey and Flynn.

Game for Tonight is the 3rd book in the “Game for It” trilogy by Karen Erickson. Aubrey Cooper, a publicist for the San Jose Hawks pro football team has set her sights on Flynn Foley, the back-up quarterback and her client.

Flynn has always been hyper-focused on his career and making it to the NFL. This determination has resulted in his maintaining a “no-sexy-distractions-policy” which has only made the female fans more intrigued. Aubrey has been with the team for a short time and is well aware o

Aubrey Cooper works as a publicist for the San Jose Hawks and she’s infatuated with Flynn Foley. Flynn is the second string quarterback for the Hawks and he refuses to let anything distract him from achieving his goal of becoming a first string quarterback. Flynn’s nickname is Golden Boy and he’s a rule follower who never gets into trouble and doesn’t date because he’s afraid a woman could throw him off his game.

Flynn and Aubrey have a hard time resisting each other and there’s a lot chemistry b

I actually read the first two books in the Game for It series two and a half years ago. For whatever reason at the time, I decided not to read Game for Tonight, but had it on my to-read list - because who doesn't want to read about a pro football player who is a virgin?!?! So when it popped up in one of the several emails I get daily with Kindle deals, I decided to download it and complete the series.

I'm not sure what happened with this book for me. Perhaps I have different standards now (who kn

Remember me?  Football girl!

I LOVE this series.  This series is so solid for me, all 3 books are GREAT and frankly, I did not want this to be the last book.  But I guess if you're going to end it, ending it on a virgin football player, isn't a bad way to go.

Oh, I hear you....a virgin football player?  Let me tell you, it's refreshing and you will LOVE Flynn.  It's a nice change of pace to read a male MC that issn't a man whore.  But don't let that deter you, Flynn has been so focused on his foot

From the very first book in the Game for It series, I was hooked. Karen Erickson made this Texas gal who really can’t stand the game of football fall head over heels in love with her players and the team. I absolutely loved this couple whose relationship was taboo due to them both being employed by San Jose Hawks. There was something really special about how they had danced around each other for so long until one finally decided it w

The game was everything to him. Well she wanted to everything to him. At least for one night...

Aubrey Cooper, the assistant publicist for the San Jose Hawks has a bit of a crush on the second string quarterback, Flynn Foley. But that is a bad thing since fraternizing is against the rules and frowned upon. And they are both usually responsible rule followers. Flynn has been focusing more on football than women and trying to avoid distractions, but he has a soft spot for Aubrey as well.

Let me tell you this book was hot (maybe a little too much, nah that's not possible). I mean it almost starts in the bedroom. Some might think it is a little bit quick, but Flynn and Aubrey knew each other for quite a long time…

I first encounter Flynn in the first installment of the Game for it series (Game for Marriage). I was kind of mad at him because he was somehow stealing the spot of the main character the Star Quarterback Jared Quinn. However, he was sweet and I could not hate him. I don’

So, I admit I went into reading this with some reticence as book #2 in the series just didn't do it for me. And, whilst this has a storyline of a similar vain to the first book, I still thoroughly enjoyed it and Karen Erickson has brought us a couple to love. 10% in and I was already falling in love with Flynn Foley; bicep bulging, sweet natured, under-played but talented (on and off the field) Quarterback, who has one doozy of a surprise.

A team publicist goes after a player after overhearing that he’s going to be traded at the end of the season. She takes her last chance with him. Cameras catch them. Aubrey’s boss forces them to fake a relationship. But where does fake end and real begin? My favorite part of the story was when Aubrey travels to the game with Flynn. They are so happy and clearly in love. My least favorite part was 2 characters: Aubrey’s extremely judgmental and negative mother and Flynn’s stage dad. Aubrey’s mom ...more

Flynn is a quarterback for a successful NFL team. He is also a nice guy. And when I say that I mean that in all ways. He is respectful of women, takes his job seriously and his team mates love him.

Audrey is the team publicist and she has a mad crush on Flynn. She has been lusting after him for a long time and has decided that the time has come for her to let him know that she wants him.

When she approaches him at a party the sparks fly and the heat is turned up

Pretty sweet fake relationship, between pro footballer Flynn and assistant publicist Aubrey.
After getting caught out during the early hours of their one-night-stand, Aubrey's boss insists they keep up a charade, the media will love it and there may even be something in it for her professionally if they pull it off.
Too bad Flynn isn't playing, nor does he know that she is.

Knew exactly what was going to happen but it was still fun getting there.
These two were fun and their chemistry HOT!

Game for Tonight is the third book in Karen Erickson's Game for It Series of standalones novels. You will recognize familiar faces if you have read the previous two books, but it is not necessary to have read them to enjoy Game for Tonight. While I liked some things about this book, there were things I just didn't click with in this one. Game for Tonight left me with mixed feelings, and I ended up thinking this book was just okay.

Ohhh this is a FANTASTIC one! I sincerely do NOT want this series to end. It combines two of my all time favorite things - hot men and football. But Game for Tonight offered so much more. Flynn is a good guy. He just is. He has the perfect makings of a guy you would want to be with. He has his pride, but can share his feelings too. And let's not forget he can have a dirty mouth when the situation warrants it. Aubrey, she's his equal. A perfect compliment to his good guy image, is a good girl. On ...more
There were many parts of this story that I loved, but there were some that I really didn't like as well. Aubrey and Flynn both work for the Hawks football team - so a relationship is off limits. But they've been dancing around the flirtations for awhile so their close friends aren't too surprised when something happens. Their bosses are quite upset though and set up a plan for them to have a "pretend" relationship.

This is the part of the story line I just didn't get. Why ask them to have a pret

Karen Erickson's new book, “Game for Tonight,” part of the Game For It series, is a wonderful read. I previously read Karen’s “Game for Marriage” and “Game for Trouble,” which I thought were fantastic, and “Game for Tonight” does not disappoint. Sinfully sexy forbidden romance.

4.5 Stars

Game for Tonight is the perfect forbidden romance. Aubrey is there to make sure that Flynn's good boy image is solid. He is a virgin and they have spun that into his marketing campaign. He is completely off-limits for Aubrey but she just can't help herself.

Game for Tonight is a stand alone read. It is Aubrey and Flynn's story but you also get to see Jared and Sheridan again and Nick and Willow again. I think I would have enjoyed this read even more if I

Game For Tonight is the third book in the Game For It series. In the first we meet Jared & Sheridan then Nick & Willow in the second. This edition brings our Golden Boy Flynn Foley finally into the limelight! Aubrey is Hawks assistant publicist that we met in the early books and she has been hiding quite the school girl crush on the virginal Flynn for quite a while. I read the first in the series in what seems like years ago. It was my first Karen Erickson book and one of the first books I had read from Entangled. I loved both and waited a long time for book 2, which is why I was so pleasantly surprised that this book was released fairly quickly. The only thing I would change is I wish it was longer. I would have loved to see more of Flynn and Aub. Maybe something like what happened when they met each other's parents, or what their long distance relationshi ...more
