Witty, clever, and sharp. It's going to be the holiday from hell...and that's just how Erica wants it.

When tabloid journalist Erica Parker is forced to take a holiday, she's determined to make it the most miserable holiday she possibly can, but not even her impressive imaginative powers could have come up with sharing a tent with survival expert Nathan Wilde.

Nathan was a

Erica used to watch a late night T.V, show Nathan use to be on. She use to really enjoy it. When asked why he stopped it he said, “You!”
You see they are talking right now face to face which Erica never ever expected to do. Because being a journalist who writes stories on cheating spouses she never expects to talk to either parties after it runs.
Not this time. Nathan not only had his wife leave him because she was caught cheating with a football player but he left his T.V. show too. All the pre
Let me tell you the kinks this book hits for me: hate sex; ice hotel; outdoors; snow. Now let me tell you this book hits them hard.

Erica is determined to take the worst vacation ever. She wants to be miserable. So she signs up for a survival course held outside in below freezing weather. What she doesn't realize is that her guide is famous survivalist Nathan, whose marriage she helped break up when she exposed his wife's cheating in the tabloid for which she writes. Needless to say he is not pl

This little quick read was such a treat. For a first novel of Jane O’Reilly i have to say she did a great job, i enjoyed every page. And yes it was witty, clever and sharp...oh and let's not forget it was HOT, different and fresh. Loved the witty, sharp and sweet dialog the characters shared. I enjoyed the clever and fun story line. Honestly i wish it was more, i really enjoyed her writing style. Thank you Miss. O’Reilly for this lovely short story, you have gained a fan. Also thanks to the Esca

The story is about Erica. Erica is a journalist, a hack and has a notorious reputation. Her work has caught up with her and she is forced to take a holiday. Instead of the usual meaning of holiday, R&R, beach, sun and cocktails, Erica has opted for a Bear Grylls style mission to test her endurance and survival instinct in the wilderness. Erica’s expedition will be led by Nathan Wilde, who knows exactly how Erica can affect everyone she comes into contact with in her job. He is less than plea ...more

Erica Parker is a journalist with penchant of exposing cheating spouses. When while chasing a story, she managed to bring the magazine on the edge of lawsuit, her boss asked her to take a holiday and get away from the office for some time. Erica hates holidays and when she was forced into it, she is determined to make it a holiday from hell. So when Erica booked herself on a trip to wilderness under gut-ranching freezing temperature, she least expected to meet one of the victims of her stories, ...more
This is 2 1/2 stars for me - would have been a 2 but I liked the hero

Erica is a writer for a tabloid newspaper in London. She has been encouraged to take a holiday while the legal storm over one of her articles blows over. She decides instead of taking one she would enjoy she would go on a holiday that she would hate. She signed up for a survival outing.

Erica is a character that never warmed up to me. Even when she broke from her self-righteous attitude she never became a character I enjoyed an

Erica wasn't an easy character to like at first. She's a tabloid journalist with, so it seems, no respect for boundaries or privacy. Nathan is one of the 'victims' of Erica's writing so it's easy to sympathize with him. Who would appreciate their personal lives to be splashed all over the tabloids, nationwide? But there in the ice cold wilderness, she's just a person with a job and a past; a past full of painful memories. Getting to know Erica's character more, liking her suddenly comes natural. ...more

The Holiday Survival Guide was a quick, entertaining read with some sweet moments. I never fully liked Erica, but luckily Nathan had enough charm and likability for the both of them. I realize the story was short, but the insta-love aspect was a bit of a turn off and I felt the author could have drawn the process out for a little longer to make it more realistic. Erica was also considering doing a pretty crap thing to Nathan near the end of the book after they both had al

This sexy novella tells the story of London tabloid writer Erica and the survival trip she signed up for in the dead of winter. Her survival guide is Nathan, whose wife she publicly, and in low tabloid style, busted for cheating.

The story was equal parts scary snow survival and steamy sex. Erica and Nathan had great chemistry and creativity. The well-written sex scenes were integrated perfectly into the plot, the dialogue was smart and natural, the characters were likable and well-developed.

In The Holiday Survival Guide by Jane O’Reilly, Erica Parker is being forced to take a vacation after a scandal and possible repercussions one of her articles has brought her. She may be forced to take a vacation, but they cannot force her to have fun, and she is determined to have the most miserable holiday she possibly can.

Nathan Wilde was once married and had a successful TV show, but that was before Erica decided to meddle in his life and expose very publically his wife’s infidelity. Now he

There is an honesty and humour to Jane O'Reilly's voice that has made her one of my fave authors. I suspected this from reading her first book, her second book The Holiday Survival Guide confirmed it.

Take Erica Parker, a tabloid journalist, and gorgeous recluse and survival guide Nathan Wilde, the man who's marriage Erica bought to a close. Dump them in the middle of an icy nowhere and wait for the heat begin. And heat up it does!

An exquisite setting, explosive chemistry and a wonderful plot. Re
This one was just OK for me. Nothing really stood out compared to her other books. It had its sweet moments and its hot moments. The heroine was kind of annoying. I did like the grumpy hero, though!
