Anastasia Pollock, crafts editor for “American Woman,” magazine, arrives at a trade show to find half her booth space usurped by “Bling!”—a gaudy lifestyle magazine based on a flashy hiphop artist named Philomena, and published by the same company Anastasia works for. Philomena is also the mistress of the publishing company’s CEO, Alfred Gruenwald, which explains a lot.
During the trade show, Gruenwald’s wife serves him with divorce papers, and serves Philomena with a suit for alienation of

not a lot of decoupage here, but a good story nonetheless!

Poor Anastasia Pollock. This Jersey girl can’t seem to catch a break. Not only is she in debt thanks to her recently deceased louse of a spouse but she’s also forced to provide a home for her Communist mother-in-law and her about-to-be-married-for-the-sixth-time mother, who hate each other’s guts.

Another great mystery

Still in need of money, Anastasia agrees to look for the murderer of her boss's mistress. Add in her mother's impending marriage, a dying car, and a needy new addition to the family and she has her hands full. There were lots of good red herrings but the ending whizzed by a little too quickly.

Honestly, this series just keeps getting better and better. My only gripe (and it's actually pretty dumb) is that the covers are pretty cheesy. They just do no justice to how awesome these books are. LOVE the characters and the story lines are always interesting. I really cannot wait for the next one.

As solid at the earlier books in the series. I think I would murder her mother-in-law if I were her.
