This was a good book for the beginning reader to get their hands on. The letters are nice and big so the beginning reader can follow along with their fingers and mouth out the words. The pictures folled the story as well. I would recommend this book to any beginning reader.
I am happy that my children are older now and not reading this type of book any longer. I never understood this book and some others like it. It seems they were written solely to cash in on the brand name without providing any redeeming value to the reader.
A copy cat day for children is usually a stubborn/fanciful thing. Big Bird's day is boring. It's true.
Yes, this is written for very young children. Yet, I do not recall either of my children ever clamoring to read this one. It is far from compelling . . . on any level.
I like Big Bird, but this isn't such an exceptional book. Some of the silly bits elicited a giggle. Rhyming is good for this age (3), because I've noticed that it helps her remember sentences from books and repeat them on her own.
It's been a while since I've read this book. Seems like I didnt like it when I read it. Can't remember what the book was about though. Guess it didn't make an impression on me.
