This is the third book by David St. Clair that I've read, the others being The devil rocked her cradle and Child Possessed, I would say that the other two are better reads than this one.
This is the most 'story like' book that I have read by St. Clair, the other books had a certain uniqueness to them but this just seemed like a bog standard fictional ghost story, girl meets ghost, ghost haunts girl, no one believes girl, everyone believes girl, red indians appear out of no where perform a short exorcism and ghosts are gone.
OK I've over simplified the plot and there were a few parts that I suppose gave little chills but on the whole it just didn't grab me the way the other books did.
It is a nice easy read and if you want a few short sharp scares then you won't go wrong but I would definitely recommend 'The devil rocked' over this.
