The Rand stories often have a darker edge to them with the sometimes death of the good guys in the world of espionage. Always well written with ‘play fair’ clues for the reader. In this anthology ‘The Spy Who Read Latin’ was particularly moving.

I love puzzle mysteries, ones with something I can try to solve. These stories are an excellent example.
