Truly frightening and captivating account of the perfidy of the SED dictatorship. The methods they use and the way their secret police has its tendrils in every part of people's lives is very scary.

It's also upsetting to think how thrilled they'd be at today's technological possibilities. The GDR did fine with just wiretapping and making people rat each other out, I can't image what they'd give to crowdsource all of their supervisions to people and their digital devices these dayxs.

Ein sehr interessantes und auch spannendes Buch!
Drei Mordschläge überlebt nicht jeder... Spaß beiseite. Das Buch zeigt das Leben und Wirken von Wolfgang Welsch - vom Gefängnisaufenthalt bis zur Fluchthilfe bis zum Prozess der Verantwortlichen der DDR.

Jeder, der sich mit der Geschichte befasst, sollte dieses Buch einmal gelesen haben!
