In high school, anyone can get busted.

It could be the senior class ski trip, or maybe it's the way you cope with the school bully, or how you entertain yourself in the world's most boring class. Every kid has some secret crime, something that they are afraid they'll get in trouble for. In Busted, four different stories take place throughout one year at Coldwater Creek Hi

I wanted to like this book more than I did. Four stories in one book that all tie together could be a good thing. I didn't like it. To me, it was very disjointed. The four storylines bounce around from one to another and back again. I found myself wondering how the bully in the story, Andre, could be in so many places so quickly. I also found myself wondering why he was allowed to do this for a full year without anything being done. The way the principal handled the situations was wrong, and we ...more

High school is a crazy time for most people, and the people in these stories are no exception.

A senior trip gone horribly awry, a gambling ring, a horrible bully, the invisible kid who won't be invisible for long, a twisted principal, honor students getting high in the parking lot. These are just some of the things you'll find in the connected short stories in this book.

This is a book about some of the crazy, awful, "seemed like a good idea at th

After reading his first novel, I determined that I would read Bildner's second novel even though I wasn't impressed with his debut. Unfortunately, I think I was less impressed with the second novel. Busted is essentially a collection of short stories to comprise a novel. They're tied together as they take place over the course of a school year. The premise is that "every kid has some secret crime, something that they are afraid they'll get in trouble for." In the end, everyone gets busted.

This book was okay. It wasn't a favorite, but I did like how it followed different people, all going through similar problems, all at the same place, at the same time, and how they effect each other without even knowing it.

I really didn't like this book. It wasn't as good as I thought it would be, and I really had to push myself to keep reading.

AT times it was slightly perverse and innappropriate but it was funny in a dark kinda way. Hey, it is high school.
