4 - "I'm my own hero." Stars!

Full Exposure is a book of firsts, it’s the first in the Independence Falls series and the first book I have read by Sara Jane Stone. As firsts go, it was a quick, painless and really enjoyable experience, and one I would happily go through again!

The brother’s best friend trope, when written well, is an out and out winner, and the author really pulled out all the stops for Georgia and Eric’s story. Both have issues in their pasts that make them reluctant to commit to

description

Full Exposure was a really enjoyable read. It teaches you about real characters and situations that we experience in life and how we deal with it.

For Georgia Trulane, I could see her plight. She comes back from serving time in the military but isn’t the same girl she once was. She has now developed PTSD and the only way she feels merely alive is to do things that end up concerning her brother, Liam.

I like a book that makes me think and I also like a book that is a little different and this book delivers. What is different with this one? Georgia is a FEMALE character with PTSD issues from military service. (Now, I’ve have read one book recently where, the female MC had physical issues due to serving.) But this was alll about Georgia and her issues. She knew she had issues, she admitted she did crazy shit to feel the rush so she didn’t have to feel anything else. Cue the overprotec

Tons of fun with a heart of gold!

I had the pleasure of reading an advanced copy of Full Exposure and I loved it. I have been a huge fan of Sara Jane Stone since her debut novel Command Performance (if you haven't read it, check it out!), and this book cemented her position as my favorite romance author. Once again Stone has created lovable and relatable characters that you can't help but root for from the very first page. Georgia is a strong female lead who knows what she wants and isn't afraid

Full Exposure is the first book in author Sara Jane Stone’s Independence Falls Series and is the first of her work that I have read. Well, I’m hooked and am anxiously awaiting the next in this series. This book was fantastic!

Veteran Georgia is home now and is silently struggling with the experiences from her time overseas at war. She has found a few things that work to keep the nightmares at bay…sleeping as little as she can manage, jumping from one adrenaline rush to the next, and Eric. Eric, h

I started reading this book on June 21st and I finished the book the same day. I couldn’t put it down for more than a few minutes. I tried, I really did but it kept calling my name.

FULL EXPOSURE is about Georgia Trulane, who loves to live life and search for the next big thrill. She doesn’t want emotions, not after going back home from a war where she saw a lot of loved ones die. She wants things to be simple, not complicated. Problem is, Geor

Sara Jane Stone is an Avon Romance writer I recently discovered during a live chat through Avon’s Facebook page. She is amazing, her talent for writing passionate scenes, heartwarming love, and describing the nature around you engages your mind fully. Sara has a great deal of knowledge and depth that she brings to her characters to make this book come alive and feel very real. There is romance, loyalty, strength and even a level of cute she intertwines in the pages. I was unable to put the book ...more

What I discovered reading Sara Jane Stone's debut is that this author is a deft hand at crafting complicated characters in a richly emotional setting. Full Exposure, Book 1 of her Independence Falls series, is a short novel, but so packed with great storytelling that you don't even realize it. Though more would be a scrumptious treat. Stone flips the usual trope on its head and gives us Georgia, an Army vet who is suffering from PTSD following her tour in the Middle East. She's home with her bro ...more

I just feel very meh about this book. The setup sounded promising: the male love interest is the best friend of the heroine's brother. She is a combat veteran newly back from Afghanistan & he's a literal lumberjack (ok, he owns a logging company). She's working as a (live-in!) nanny for his nephew he adopted, and for that reason, he refuses to start anything with her. You can probably imagine how well that works out.

Here's my biggest issue: I never really connected with the characters. I mea

I've said it before, and I will say it again - the perks of being an Avon Addict are tremendous. I came across Sara Jane Stone in a conversation with a fellow addict, and knew I had to try the series. I have read books where the men are dealing with their demons from war, but never from a female's POV. An interesting take indeed.

This book had a very interesting plot and storyline. Usually it’s the hero that went to war and returned with PSTD. In this book, Georgia went to war and on returning she’s finding it difficult to live with the memories of the death she witnessed and the friends she has lost. This has made her reluctant to feel any emotions except the ones generated by adrenalin.

I really liked Georgia, and you could feel her confusion and determination on how to overcome her war experiences.

Dreadful. DNFing after 50%. My time is more precious than reading of constant telling not showing. I'm not connecting with the characters and the story is so unbelievably boring and predictable that I could not give a flying fuck about finishing.

This was interesting. The heroine is a veteran who saw action in Afghanistan while the hero is a long-time friend who runs his own million dollar logging business. The attraction has always been there but now Georgia is living life to the fullest and taking chances in order to prove to herself that there is a reason she survived the war when so many didn't. Eric is just as attracted but his best friend is Georgia's brother and he isn't sure she wants him or if she's only interested in the rush o ...more

The first time I picked this up, I barely read a couple of pages before I put it back down. This time, however, I couldn't wait to pick it back up and keep reading. This was sexy, sweet, romantic, and even though it was quite short, I felt like the issues that arose between Eric and Georgia were fully explored. I wish the ending had been a little longer but I'm hopeful we'll catch up with Georgie and Eric in the second book in the series. Really keen to find out what happened between Liam and Ka ...more

This is the he first book by Stone that I have read and I look forward to reading more. I liked Georgia and Eric both individually and together. I thought Stone did a great job with portraying Georgia's PTSD, but there was one trauma toward the end that I thought could have been addressed more. That being said I thought Georgia was a strong heroine. She was self-aware and took in advice from others. She and Eric talked things out rather than making assumptions and owned up when they messed up. I ...more

I read an ARC of this book provide by the publisher at Edelweiss as part of the Tasty Book Tour. I was SOOOO HAPPY! This book was on my radar after spotting the cover at this year's RT CON. This author is now on my to buy list. It was well written all round. Great characters, chemistry, heart, thrills and emotion. You may even wipe away a tear or two (I did). Don't miss out. In Full Exposure, Sara Jane Stone pulls off the incredible! She grabs the readers attention, gets you emotionally attached to the characters and the story, and makes you feel like somehow everything will be okay...all within the first few pages!

The story in this book is both unique and typical all at the same time.

I enjoy romance that has just that bit more plot that a simple boy meets girl and they live HEA...and this one had an interesting slant, the heroine is an ex solider. Of course that brings with it some mental trauma, no-one can see their colleagues killed and not suffer some kind of mental problems.
So Georgia is now working as a Nanny for her brother’s best friend, looking after his nephew. She lov

I love when authors like to switch things up. We have Georgia who served in the military and has some PTSD. I am so used to reading guys with it that it's nice to see it from a female prospective. And because Georgia is not an idiot and isn't in denial, she knows she does her crazy stuff for some thrills to fell alive. (Enter the feels here.) She's dealing with her time in theater and the things she's been through and seen as best she can. So the logical thing to do when looking for your next th ...more

When I started Full Exposure by Sara Jane Stone, I was trying to get a feel for the story. Cause the story kind of started out a little slow for me, then jump to a sexual experience. I was like wow; okay, you have my attention. Full Exposure does have a few sex scenes, but it doesn't mask the overall plot. It had a good balance of sex to story.

Full Exposure is about Georgia Trulane and Eric Moore. Georgia basically comes back from serving her country suffering from PTS
