For a lover of all things dark, I couldn't wait to delve into Broken Love and Forever Bound. I was not disappointed either!!

It's one of those stories that from the very first page you are gripped into an emotional filled mindset, with anything but a light world of characters and their stories.. Though, I will say that it did have a few aspects to it that maybe made me less so addicted with it for the last third of the book.

I can't even explain how bad this book was! I feel like I lost a day of my life! This whole book was nothing but contradiction. One minute Kayla(the main character) that Garrett (her love interest) that she can't love him and the VERY NEXT sentence she's telling him that she loves him, she's horny, that they can sleep in the same bed and they can "do things".
Kayla is a survivor of a HORRENDOUS rape that is detailed explicitly in the book several times, as though you want to keep reliving this...

Warning: Broken Love and Forever Bound is not for the faint of heart. It has extremely graphic descriptions of abuse.

I was looking forward to reading Broken Love and Forever Bound because the synopsis sounded so intriguing. I couldn’t wait to dive right in. Unfortunately, this book did not live up to my expectations.

I loved writting this book. And when I finally got the chance to read it all the way through. I noticed all the emotions. You laugh, you cry, and then you throat punch characters. I really hope you enjoy this novel.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story, the characters were developed well and Layla really knows how to write emotion! This was a unique read, never really knowing what to expect.

Some of the scenes were quite graphic and dark. I appreciated the way all these scenes were written and portrayed. They were graphic enough to pull you in to the situation and experience Kayla's fear and pain as she was tortured and abused; the confusion she felt about her relationship, especially with Elijah. What Layla was

This book is dark and not for the faint of heart, it deals with Rape, Physical Abuse, Mental Abuse. It goes into great detail about these topics.
I give this book 4 stars

This is book one in the series and it leaves you with a cliffhanger so be warned. I was glad I had book 2 to dive right back into the story

I received a free copy for a honest review. Kayla who is a bit of a ugly ducking turns out to be a beautiful swan. Her pretty friend violent is always been considered the pretty one regardless. I'm not very good at writing reviews and I don't want to post any unintentional spoilers.

Kayla Ashby is a young woman with a past tainted by violence, sexual & emotional abuse. She comes back to town in attempt to reclaim her life and unfortunately it's not an easy task for her as she runs into various road blocks standing in her way.

The language used in this book is rather harsh, but considering the circumstances, the age of the characters and what they have experienced, the language is act

★★★ 3.5 Stars ★★★

This is a great debut book from Layla Stevens about a very dark and disturbing subject.

Kayla Ashby is haunted by a past the terrifies her. Abandoned by her birth mother and raised in a living hell no person should endure, she is finding it difficult to adjust and let go of her demons and move on.

Garrett Winters has been in love with Kayla since Eighth Grade. Circumstances beyond his control have kept them apart until now. Can Garrett overcome his own issues and accept Kayla for

Where to start? First off let me pre-face by saying, this book is not for the week it hard or for those that are simply looking for quick read. This book will rock you to your core and send you really. From the overall situations that Kayla experiences, that let me just say could and has likely happen to anyone of us, to the general feeling of wow. Kayla is someone's little sister, best friend or neighbor.

Kayla is a very well written and described character. I honestly didn't want to be able to

Wow…I don’t even know where to begin. I REALLY enjoyed this book! Layla did a fantastic job of making you feel the angst that Kayla felt in so many situations. The helplessness, fear, and anger…I could not put it down! Kayla is a survivor…after being tragically and terribly sexually abused, ignored, and finally brushed off she has come through a success, even if she has a few issues because of it.

Be warned…this story is one of graphic sexual abuse and the mental repercussions of it. However, th

This is the first book i have read by Author Layla Stevens
This is more along the lines of a darker read, and its very hard subject matter to get through and i think it was handled well. There is darkness and pain but there is also love and some light at the end of that proverbial tunnel.
It was strong and emotional and kept you hanging onto every word.
there were times it was difficult to tell right away which characters POV it was coming from as a paragraph changed, but on the whole this did not

This was a 3.5 star read for me.

Kayla has had a rough past. She grew up with an adopted family and endured domestic violence. As soon as she can she ran. Now she has returned and is trying to face her demons. She also reconnects with her best friends and the man she loved when she was in her teens.

The good things about this book:

- Ms Stevens deals with a dark subject in a delicate way.
- Kayla of course has a hard time dealing with her past and this is well written into the story.
- Violet and

RATING: 3 STARS

This book had me spinning in a few different directions during my read-through. It is graphic and very intense. It is not a light and easy read by any means whatsoever.

Kayla's life was not pretty and easy. Appearances of a family unit are often never as they seem. This is proven time and time again in this book. Edwin and Elijah are two dreadful relatives of Kayla's whose mission in life seems to be to torture their sister. Kayla was driven from her home, her hometown and away fro

This is a very good and interesting storyline. You get pulled into Kayla's life and everything she went through. It will have your emotions all over the place. And the hot scenes ... WOW! Broken Love And Forever Bound By Author Layla Stevens

Ok first off I love Layla Stevens cover, it drew my eyes immediately, giving the impression of protection and passion.
Secondly I want to say I love how even as messed up of a world Kayla lived in she was always pushing herself to be stronger, to be better, to not be a victim but a survivor. Violet is the kind of best friend you want to get into trouble with, you know the best friend that doesn't stand back watching while you fight someone, the

This book dealt with rape and abuse and the author did a good job in her descriptions of the horrors of these times and in the pain and suffering of the heroine in the story.

I liked the secondary characters, how they stood behind Kayla even though they had no idea the extent of her suffering.

The story started out strongly and I was able to sink my teeth in and really get involved in it. There was a change in the flow of the story near the middle and errors that should have been picked up by the

I really want to give a warning for this book. It is not for the faint of heart nor is it easy to read. But it is absolutely compelling. Layla Stevens dives into the wicked ways of drugs, abuse, and rape and creates this beautiful, heartbreaking, and riveting story. Wow, I'm too stunned for Words.

The details that Layla has put into this story is both creepy and compelling. As some one that was sexually assaulted, but not at that magnitude. The dreams and actions portrayed from this girl goes far beyond broken to straight demented. That's just my view and opinion.
Now Violet, Wyatt, and Garrett, are all godsends as best friends can be. Garrett has loved Kayla since they were in eighth grade and Kayla believed she'd need to broken for any one to Love. After s

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. The opinions in this review are my own. There are some dark topics in this book. The author has done a good job presenting them and showing the things the characters do to deal with them. Kayla Ashby is an orphan and was adopted by a rich family with two young boys. Her child hood friends growing up are Garrett and Wyatt Winters. Kayla goes through so much on her own and shows such strength. The book starts with a bit of foreshadow ...more

I don’t know where to start with this story. It is very moving and extremely sad. There is so much abuse and heart ache. The people who should have loved her and taken care of her betrayed her in the worst way. She is sent away. She copes with all her issues but she really isn’t living or surviving. She finally comes back home to confront her demons and move on. She meets back up with her best friends and the man she lov
