I can't help be amazed at the gifts God has delighted me with - a wonderful husband, four amazing children, and the opportunity to write for Him.

I've been writing as long as I can remember - I won my first book writing contest in first grade! Over the years, writing has become, for me, a way to praise God and see Him at work in my life.

Although I have a degree in Mass Communications from the University of MN, my real writing experience started when I penned the The Warren Report - a bi-monthly newsletter that detailed our ministry highlights.

Living in Russia meant I never lacked for great material - and those experiences naturally spilled out first into devotionals and magazine articles and finally into my first published story, "Measure of a Man," in the Tyndale/HeartQuest, Chance Encounters of the Heart anthology.

Susan and husbandI grew up in Wayzata, a suburb of Minneapolis, and became an avid camper from an early age. My favorite fir-lined spot is the north shore of Minnesota - it's where I met my husband, honeymooned and dreamed of living. The north woods easily became the foundation for my first series, The Deep Haven series.based on a little tourist town along the shores of Lake Superior. I have to admit - I'm terribly jealous of Mona, the heroine of my first full-length book, Happily Ever After, a Christy Award Finalist published in 2004 with Tyndale/Heartquest.

Our family moved home from the mission field in June 2004 -- and now we live in the beautiful town I'd always dreamed of! God has amazed me anew with His provision, and blessings -- and allowed me a season when I can write full time for Him.

I 'm delighted you've stopped in to visit. My hope is that you'll be blessed and encouraged by soul-stirring stories of regular people interacting with a God who loves them.

I'd love to hear from you! I love getting mail, especially from readers and I welcome your questions and comments. Write to me at susan@susanmaywarren.com. The chemistry between Creed and Imani is great, but the chemistry between Creed and Fraser is perfection.

The Minnesota Marshalls is easily my favorite of Susie's series, and I've read a lot of them at this point. And I have to say that a lot of it is because of the Fraser/Creed pairing. Creed was injured in the first book, and that injury he has to deal with throughout the series was a great story device, because how can he protect the woman he's in love with if he can't walk?
All the Marshall siblings show up to work together with their various skills, and I love it. All of them are mature, godly, and encourage each other with words of truth. The faith is solid and is woven naturally into the story, never simply tacked on. I just can't get enough of it and there were so many good lines, sweet moments, and humorous situations.

I'm a little bit nervous, feeling like Creed wasn't given enough closure at the end, because Susie likes to reopen wounds in future books and I'm worried Creed has more coming his way.

I read a copy of Creed provided by the author through JustReads Tours, but I was not required to review and all opinions are my own.

This book picks up right where the last one left off, and it was gratifying to see the Marshalls and friends able to connect the dots between all the crazy events that have happened and get to the bottom of the mystery. It was frustrating when there were setbacks, and Imani always running off and not communicating got on my nerves. It was nice to see her come to terms with her new role that she had been struggling to find her place in. I also loved that Creed had growth as well in his self-worth and identity as a Marshall, and what that means for him both with his family and spiritually. I always appreciate the message of faith and connection with the Lord that the characters find strength and peace in.

Creed by Susan May Warren concludes The Minnesota Marshalls series. I recommend reading the novels in order as the Marshall siblings are plentiful. It takes time to know the siblings and their significant others, all of which are present in Creed.

Like the other installments in The Minnesota Marshalls, Creed had plenty of danger and suspense. The story held my attention throughout, and I enjoyed revisiting this loud, heroic, larger-than-life family. Creed gained my admiration with his resilience and desire to overcome. He had physical impairment, relational obstacles, and a heartbreaking past, but he grasped his future and protected his loved ones. However, underlying this fortitude, a spiritual thread in the story addressed human frailty and the need for one’s hope and spiritual strength to come from God. Overall, the suspense, romance, and spiritual themes were well-balanced.

Although I liked many aspects of Creed, the ending displeased me. After reading five books, I was ready for closure and the author left several situations open-ended. I understand she is likely setting up for another series, but it was a huge disappointment to me. I would have given this book four stars, but due to the open ending and lack of satisfaction, it only gets three.

"Our best hope in the middle of confusion and chaos is not to try and solve our problems ourselves. We just have to remember whose we are and who we hope in."

I loved how this book continued the story of Fraser and Pippa and also delved into the story of Creed and Imani. Creed's heart, his maturity, his loyalty, and his determination all drew me in and completely captivated me. The intertwining of Lauchtenland's royals from Rachel Hauck's books with the author's fantastic set of characters from this series (and previous series) was incredibly fun and exhilarating. Be prepared for explosive action, suspense, and tons of surprises in the plot as the Minnesota Marshalls and their significant others track down those responsible for murders, bombings, nuclear threats, and international sabotage.
Don't be fooled by all the action, though. The story also had great depth and dealt with some serious things like guilt, grief, forgiveness, medical illness, and finding purpose and place in this world. There were poignant moments of faith and spiritual awakening, as well as reminders of who God is. The heart-warming family dynamics with the witty dialogue and banter was especially meaningful for recharging when the team became weary.

The Minnesota Marshalls may be my favorite fictional family so far (but we won't tell the Montana Marshalls or the Deep Haven Christiansens now, will we?). Creed gave us an excellent finale and I'm looking forward to the author's next series.

Creed was a wonderful conclusion to an exciting, adventurous series about the Minnesota Marshalls.

Creed was such a deep character, one of those characters who doesn’t see his own worth and inner strength. With his start in life and having 3 older hero-type brothers, as well as not feeling 100% like a Marshall because he was adopted, Creed struggled with a lot of struggles, but also could not say no when his instinct was to step up and protect the people he cares about.

Imani was also a wonderful female lead – one who also struggled with her own questions to find her place in the new world she fell into.

This final book included heartache, danger, action, villains who was obvious and some not so much, and features of some of the best Marshall characters we have me until this book.

To get a complete appreciation of all things Marshall, you need to start with the Montana Marshall series. Seems there is also another series I need to read written by a different author about Imani and her mom’s journey to the royal world.

Creed by Susan May Warren finishes the Marshall story . . . for now. With plenty of emotions and thrills galore, Warren takes readers on a journey through the importance of family and love. Creed and Fraser have to work together in order to persuade Pippi and Imani to follow their heart and love the Marshall men. I love the characters who speak truth into each of the characters’ lives. This part really makes me read the words twice and wonder how that would work in my personal life. Warren does a wonderful job at explaining what the characters need to hear to feel complete again. Other members of the Marshall family make an appearance, even far enough that they help Creed make some pretty weighty decision that will affect his future. In the setting of Lauchtenland, where Princess Imani needs to decide about her personal future, Warren does a wonderful job of describing this foreign castle and city to the readers. I love the idea that the story happens right before Christmas. Something little magical about a story that takes place during Christmas. Overall, Creed by Susan May Warren does thrill with the best of her novels and has just enough romance between two couples to keep the romance reads happy. I can’t wait to personally own all the paperback books of this series.

Creed. The man who feels like a criminal because of his past. Can he become a prince to save the princess he loves? Creed by Susan May Warren is the final book in the Minnesota Marshalls series.

I have enjoyed all the books in the Minnesota Marshalls series and have looked forward to Creed. This book is full of action, with intermittent romance, and full of many of Marshalls coming in together for the conclusion. Seeing updates to characters you recognize from past series is always fun with this author. I enjoyed the mystery of figuring out how the bad guys are and just how big this plot is that run throughout the series.

Unfortunately, some things aren't entirely wrapped up in this book. It is like an end-of-season episode of a series like Loki that leaves one dangling with future answers to come in another series or two. I can see the fun in that for the author, but it can be frustrating to the reader. In any case, Warren has me right where she wants me as I will continue to read and enjoy her future books to look for the answers.

The adventure and danger continued in a big way in Creed! The two main characters, Creed and Imani, had a lot of growing to do emotionally in this story. This series is definitely one to be read in order, which will make the reading of this novel, book five, even more enjoyable.

I really enjoyed the character development for Creed and Imani. Both adopted, with Creed having a tragic backstory, they struggle with what their value is in their families. As they pull closer to God, and find that their value is in Him, they begin to understand how loved they are by their families, too.

The sweet romance that has been brewing between Imani and Creed throughout the series must overcome some big obstacles in this novel. I also enjoyed the interactions between Fraser and Pippa, as they secured their places in each other’s hearts. And the connection that seemed to forge and grow between Fraser and Creed in this story was excellent! I’m excited to see what the author has in store for her readers next.

I enjoyed this story and the way it wrapped up the series! I have enjoyed each of the Marshalls stories, so it was a delight to read more about Creed. I appreciated how this story tackles some difficult questions, since both Creed and Princess Imani struggle with feeling like they belong. Creed due to being adopted and coming from a rough background and Imani for being both adopted and thrust into the roll of Princess as a young woman. There is a lot going on in this series, and I thought that, for the most part, this book wraps a lot of things up. I am sure there will be more added to the bigger picture, with their still being a few questions that need answers.

I received this book from Just Read. This is my honest review.

The finale to Susan May Warren's Minnesota Marshalls series, Creed, felt much more grounded in plot compared to the previous books in this series I reviewed. While Ned and Iris had more incredible action film vibes, Creed has a more tv crime drama feel that I preferred. Despite not being procedural-focused like some tv crime shows, the realistic focus on side plots focusing on wrapping up other family drama aspects really appealed to me. Creed has been through a lot in the two decades of his life and seeing him work through some of the trauma that affected his childhood and coming to terms with his past was rewarding. Besides being the youngest Marshall, Creed's adoption seemed to give him a bit of "imposter syndrome" in that he sometime struggles to see himself as being worthy of the Marshall name and feeling inadequate compared to his overachieving, heroic siblings (I think Iris also struggled with a bit of this on a small scale). Meanwhile, his oldest brother Frasier grapples with his identity being so tied to his profession that he struggles to let go. I thought Warren did an excellent job with the spiritual threads throughout this book, dealing with themes of forgiveness and identity in many ways through the different characters. Trust in God, allowing Him to direct your path, following His will rather than our own is something that resonated personally as a reader. Imani and Pippa were also strong female characters, I felt like they both had their moments to shine, especially Imani.

Featuring many cameos from Susan May Warren's past series and Rachel Hauck's True Blue Royals duology, these guest appearances will satisfy longtime fans of the author and made me curious to read some of the books they appeared in. The suspense thread is tied up almost completely, I suppose Warren may continue it future titles, but the series is brought to a very satisfactory end. I think fans of the Marshalls and Susan May Warren will be pleased with this series ender!

Creed is the final book in the Minnesota Marshalls series. I love Susan May Warren's books, and this series did not disappoint. I love how she wove the stories of these siblings together throughout all five books. Creed is adopted into this family and struggles with his identity and feeling that he does not measure up to this family of heroes. Throughout the book, we see Creed come to the realization that he is more than enough and brings his own uniqueness to the family, and they would not be complete without him. In the midst of all of this, Creed is falling in love--and the woman he loves is not only a princess, but it seems that someone is after her. But is she the real target? The plot will keep you guessing until the end and you will not want to put this book down. I also love how the author does not shy away from deep questions of faith and allowing her characters to wrestle with those questions. A favorite quote: "Our best hope in the middle of confusion and chaos is not to try and solve our problems ourselves. We just have to remember whose we are and who we hope in." Great advice for all of us. I highly recommend this book and the entire Minnesota Marshalls series.

This is supposed to be the exciting finale to the Minnesota Marshall’s series…but there are still some unfinished items…?!
Creeds story is intense.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this series about the Minnesota Marshalls, and I loved reading this final book (although, of course, it is very bittersweet to say goodbye to favorite characters).

Creed. He is such an enigma. But this story really shows his personality and his determination to do the right thing.

I also love Imani. Princess, but no, not really. After all, she grew up in Tennessee, and that is truly where her roots are.

Romance, yes, of course, this book is full of it! Danger, action, intrigue, and so much more! This final book in the Minnesota Marshalls is such a fun read!

Gosh, I am not sure how to feel about this particular book in the Minnesota Marshalls series... let's start with my favorite parts. I loved that this book picks up right where the last one leaves off. Creed is a different character. He is truly unique compared to his siblings but you do get to see his personality and determination in this story. Creed and Fraser are working together in this story which was amazing to experience. It was great to see how they related to one another.

Of course a Susan May Warren story is filled not only romance (which there is plenty) but also suspense, mystery, danger, intrigue and all the great elements that keep you turning the pages. I also loved that there is a great faith thread, focusing on forgiveness, trusting in God and grace.

Okay, here is what bothered me a bit... I feel like there were things unfinished so I hope that maybe there are novellas stemming from this book so we can get resolution to these.

Overall I thought it was a good story. Susan May Warren is an excellent writer and I am looking forward to whatever series she comes up with next!

"...But here's the truth, Creed. Even before you were born, God was thinking of you. Thinking of your life and the man you'd become. He was thinking of all the ways He loved you. And the great plan He had for your life if you let him...So don't let your lies keep you from that. It's time to be set free."

Oh, Creed. It's been a wild ride.

We first met Creed and Imani in the beginning of the series, and we've watched him go from a (somewhat) typical athlete to a hero who will stop at nothing to protect the woman he loves. But he's not your stereotypical hero; he doesn't have any special training and he hasn't been a part of any special ops missions. He just knows he loves Imani and he will do anything for her--even if it costs him his freedom.

This whole series, but especially this final novel, is jam-packed with heart-racing suspense and swoony romance, but SMW didn't stop there. She has beautifully woven in Biblical truth throughout the pages and shows us the love of Jesus and his sacrifice for us. Creed's parents are some of my favourite characters with their wisdom, encouragement, and unending love for their children: not just the ones they have borne, but also the one they have chosen. Creed is never treated any differently or loved any less than the rest of their children, but his past has left him feeling abandoned and alone for most of his life. We've seen him grow throughout this series, and it's a beautiful thing to finally see him find his place in life, not only in the Marshall family and in Imani's life, but also in God's family.

I also thoroughly enjoyed continuing the rest of the Marshall family's stories, especially Fraser and Pippa, and seeing a few of the Montana Marshalls make an appearance throughout the book. I've always loved how SMW brings her characters back: they just feel like good friends by the time I've finished a series, and it's so fun to get to revisit them and see where they are now.

Words cannot describe how much I've loved getting to know the Minnesota Marshalls. You'll just have to read the series for yourself! And if you're worried about the royal side being a little cheesy (because, as we all know, royalty is not my favourite trope), SMW does it in a way I've never seen before: so un-cheesy it's basically vegan. But also epically delicious and well-done.

So if you've enjoyed any of Susan May Warren's previous books, if you love the Marshall family, or if you're just looking for an exciting fast-paced romantic suspense, you won't want to miss Creed (or the rest of the series).

I'll leave you with one more wisdomous quote, this time from Fraser:

He reached down and pulled her chin up. Met her eyes. "We despair because we look at ourselves, our own abilities, and we know we're not enough. And based on our own inferiority, we have doubts. But God says He will not desert us. That though life tries to shake us from His grip, Jesus will never let go."

What an epic ending to the Minnesota Marshalls series. Creed was an excellent fast-paced romantic suspense read with some tense moments, twists and turns, wonderful characters, and an amazing plot line. We see how Fraser and Pippa's relationship turned out in this story as well as Creed and Imani's relationship. All the Marshall siblings and their loved ones came together with their various skills.
Creed had to figure out about forgiveness and what it meant for God to be in control and being useful. Imani had to make decisions regarding her future as a princess.
If you are looking for an incredible series, I recommend this one.

An excellent, edge-of-your-seat ending to the Minnesota Marshalls series. I’m so sad to see it end, but as always, there is still some resolution needed for the next series to pick it up! Here we focus on Creed and Imani, and Fraser and Pippa as they navigate Imani’s return to Lautenland and the boys’ situation as suspected criminals. But some of the most poignant moments were through Jenny’s eyes at the end. Themes here of identity: in Christ, in our families, in our countries, in our jobs, etc.

I’ve been looking forward to this story ever since I finished Iris. The whole series ties together in the most complicated ways and I loved ALL of it! Creed is the youngest Marshall but by no means is he the weakest. Raised to be strong physically and spiritually, he’s finding life extremely challenging when love comes for him. I loved the many conversations about faith, purpose, worth, love and forgiveness. It was a good challenge to me to look at how I react to and treat others when they wrong me. The suspense and action of this story was another favorite part. Susie has such a gift for crafting intense stories that draw you in from page one to the end. I was literally bouncing up and down in my seat as the book was coming to a close and everything was happening at once. Gosh, I love stories like this that don’t let up until the last page! Definitely recommend this one for suspense readers who also enjoy a good romance on the side. It’s certainly an intense ride throughout the entire book.

The conclusion to Susan's The Minnesota Marshalls series was truly epic. I loved the balance of faith, family, romance, humor, action, intrigue and suspense. I had so many questions coming into Creed. I love how Susie “wraps” everything up in her signature “leave you satisfied, but excited for more” way. I can’t wait to see where she takes these characters and the ongoing plot that has been woven through her last several series. It is so rewarding as a reader to see that slow unravel of information and fit each piece into the puzzle of the Susie-verse. So many great cameos by previous characters, which is one of my favorite things about her stories. Everyone fits together.

Five star read and can’t wait for more!

Creed
By Susan May Warren
Book 5 in the Minnesota Marshalls series
Rating: 4.5/5

Wow. What a book! The author wrote such an amazing story for the last Marshall sibling. If you’ve been following along with the other stories, this story will be a continuation. I’m not sure I would say it’s a standalone story though. The main characters were beautifully written and had authentic faith stories. The romance between the two main characters was sweet, funny and sassy.

I highly recommend reading the entire series. It’s that good. And you’ll get to revisit characters from other series too which was really fun and exciting. The action is well done but not overly complicated. The story just keeps getting better and better.

Highly recommend if you’re looking for a fast-paced, adrenaline-filled romantic suspense that will keep you reading until the end.

My thanks to the author and publisher for providing me with an ARC of the book. All opinions expressed here are entirely my own. No positive review was expected and no compensation received.

An ending to the series that brings the action, the romance and the hope that has been a trademark of this series.
I loved this installment and the climax of this family's story that is so full of heart and characters that move you, and make you feel as if you are living through their journey right along with them .
I loved how we got to see Creed overcome so much through this saga and I hope to see more of him in the future.
I really loved that we got more time with Fraser and Pippa as well. I think they may be my favorite couple in the series.
An interwoven message of hope, family and faith that kept me up late to see what would happen next.
Such a satisfying ending with a glimpse into possibly more to come.
It didn't disappoint and was a pleasure to read this series as it came out this year.

If you’ve read the previous four books, you won’t be disappointed in Creed. My favorite aspect of this book is how Creed and Imani find themselves. Creed had real growth throughout the series but especially so in this story. There were times I thought he might give up, but he always found the strength to get back up, dust himself off, and go for what he wanted. Imani has seemed a bit irresponsible in the past books, but she matured, and I’d say finally found herself. The action is almost non-stop so buckle your seatbelts and hang on. You’ll keep turning the pages to see what happens next.

I’m not sure how I feel now that I’ve finished the Minnesota Marshalls series. It’s been such a wild ride, and I feel like I know these characters SO well they’ve become like family. I just move on now? Man, sometimes it’s really hard to let go. LOL! Regardless, Creed by Susan May Warren is an exciting conclusion of sorts to what has been a really good series. I say sort-of conclusion because Creed does not end. There is clearly going to be a new series, and I feel confident in saying that the Minnesota Marshalls will show up again. That’s actually pretty exciting news, and I will definitely try to binge the upcoming series as I did this one. OK, so back to this book. For me, Creed started off a little slowly. It took a few chapters before I became really invested, but once I got there I was all in and could not put this book down. I wonder if perhaps Warren wanted to slow down her time with these characters, too. I get it. Fraser, Jonas, Ned, Iris, and Creed have become very special characters to me. And don’t get me started on all the awesome people we meet, or get to see again, along the way — Shae, Sibba, Hud, Imani, and Pippa just to name a few. I really have to say, looking back on the series as a whole, the characters are my favorite. I love the immense sense of family you get from these books, and really, Creed is all about family. Growing up in an amazing family, supporting each other when scary issues arise, being there for one another, holding each other accountable and encouraging when necessary, and then being brave enough to start new branches in the family line. I loved it all. Yes, these Marshalls are tough and capable and strong-willed, but they are also so loving. Not going to lie, I wish they were real people and I wish I could actually know them. As far as the plot of this story goes, I did enjoy how Warren wraps things up for this series. I wasn’t sure there could be a happily ever after for Imani and Creed. And the passion and chemistry between Fraser and Pippa is AMAZING. I loved their storyline the best.

This review really doesn’t do this book justice. I feel so overwhelmed after five excellent stories to adequately express how I feel coming to the end of this series. Suffice to say, if you are a fan of superb Romantic Suspense, then pick up yourself a copy of Creed (and Fraser, Jonas, Ned, and Iris) ASAP! You won’t be sorry you did!

I purchased a copy of this novel in eBook form from the author on August 18, 2023, in order to review. In no way has this influenced my review. The opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Well that was a wild ride! Creed was packed with so much action, especially towards the second half. Whew! I was enjoying it and reading as much as I could, but as soon as I reached the second half, I had a hard time putting it down. (thankful my print copy arrived by then because I couldn't have read that much on the ecopy due to eyestrain. That would have been close to torment, having to put it down XD)
Creed and Imani, a long with Fraser and Pippa made great main characters in this book. I loved each of their stories and how they intertwined. And we got to see so many of the Marshalls in this one.
Creed is the final book in the Minnesota Marshalls series, but I'm hoping we'll see more of them eventually, because there's more I want to know about Creed and Imani, specifically!
What I also really liked about this novel was how much wisdom was spread between the pages. A moment between two family members and the topic of forgiveness almost made me cry a little. There were just a lot of meaningful moments in this story, which I definitely appreciated.
And the romance was spot-on-good too. I love happy endings Sometimes I got a little confused on all the side characters mentioned because I knew they were characters we were supposed to know but I haven't read every SMW book yet, so that had me a little confused. Not terribly so, just enough that I knew I was missing something.
I loved Creed's journey to finding his worth, and knowing God made him for a purpose. I thought that was well done, and satisfying and encouraging.
All in all, I really liked this one, and am sad to be leaving its pages!

The Minnesota Marshalls are quite a family. Creed is the youngest. The first book was about his oldest brother, Fraser. However, Creed was an integral part of that story, just as Fraser was heavily involved in this one. Creed was adopted when he was ten years old. He still wrestles with his past and the effects his birth family had on him. His little sister was killed in a drive-by shooting, one brother ran away, his other brother and his father went to prison, and his mother went off the deep end. With so many emotional scars, he has struggled with feeling truly accepted by anyone. His adoptive parents have instilled strong values in all of their children. I loved the camaraderie of this family and how they all stuck together, even when they are scattered all over the globe. If one of them was in trouble, one or more of the others suddenly showed up to help. As a teetotaler, I was not exactly thrilled that the family business was a winery, but I must admit that their family life was far stronger than that of many families where the parents are involved in fulltime vocational ministry. None of the family seemed bashful about sharing their faith. Interestingly, the book reinforced something I recently heard in a study I started attending. The lesson talked about everything being created to be fruitful. Creed’s father was showing a young man who was interested in his daughter about preparing the vines for the winter and the importance of properly pruning. He told the young man that the vines were created to be fruitful. The same statement came up later in a different context as one of the sons was thinking about how he wanted to spend the rest of his life. I assure you that the action and suspense will keep you reading late into the night while some valuable life lessons are shared along the way.

Susan May Warren's Creed redefines what it means to be a hero. It walks us through how important our past should be, what grace means, and how to trust. Basically, this book is a whole sermon series wrapped up in terrorist plots, natural disasters, and steamy does-she-love-me side action.

Creed is the underdog for whom you have to cheer. He’s determined and altruistic but scarred and broken, too. He wants to believe, but, really; how easy is it for any of us to believe that the dream can happen for us?

While this book is about the love story between Creed and Princess Imani, it’s really about how all of us belong in God’s kingdom. Warren uses the entire Marshall family to illustrate deep theological themes that all tie together in Creed’s story, so while the romance is hot, it’s just as much about Fraser and Pippa and updates on the rest of the family as it is about the youngest couple there.

And I like the way Warren’s done that. It really wraps up this whole, big complex plot she’s been dripping out through the entire series and pulls it altogether, even while she leaves a loose thread hiding there in the corner, just waiting for a new book/series to tug on it … and that won’t be soon enough for me.

So while the next book (sneaked at the back of this one) sounds fabulous, and I’m excited for it, I’m also here for more of the Marshalls. I want to know everything.

If you love action and suspense, this is your kind of book – but especially if you want it to mean something more than an explosion and then another. If you want bombs and terrorists and plots and hospitals all mixed in with love and faith and grace and lessons learned, then Creed is the book for you.

Wow!
What an epic ending to this latest series Suan May Warren!
This one ties up all the stories with so much action, suspense, drama, and romance.
In true Susan May Warren style, it has you gripping the edge of your seat while trying to breathe. Her books lead me on an adventure and never let me stop until the last page.
There were so many moments of sheer tension and times of holding my breath to see what would happen.
This author can truly capture her readers in the story and keep them reading until they are finished. Often, I’m still reeling in the emotions and words are spinning around in my head.
From the first book in this series to this last one, you the reader are taken on a ride through so many events and into places and situations that you never saw coming.
Then of course, the author decides to stick a few fun characters from her other books into this story and then you feel like you’re right at home with family.
She also throws in so many twists and turns that make you wonder if we just might see these characters again. She also included a bit of mystery that could leave you wondering. HUM!
Susan May Warren is a gifted writer. She has the most fantastic way of weaving stories together and drawing us in with all the vivid word pictures she paints. She has a beautiful way of speaking truth to our souls through her words, and she brings us God’s life lessons through her characters.
She is one of my favorite authors. Whatever Ms. Warren writes I’ll read because I know I’ll be captivated and blessed in a way that is life-changing.
I highly recommend you pick up this new book.

Creed is a wonderful novel! I loved getting to visit members of the Marshall family whom I’ve grown to love. This is book five in this particular branch of the Marshalls. Creed has appeared in other books and his story is definitely one that needed to continue because we had to figure out what happened to him and the princess! Oh, and his older brother and her bodyguard too.

If you’ve read the series you’re going to just start off where you left off in the last book. If you haven’t read the other books you’re going to be a bit lost. Because you really need the backstory! I mean, you could probably read this as a stand-alone novel but why would you do that when you can have the rest of the story and not feel lost?

I loved getting to know more about who Imani was before she became a princess. And I do have to say I knew who the bad guy was from early on. Maybe because I thought he was sleazy or maybe because I just didn’t like him, but also the author left some wonderful clues.

The book read incredibly quickly. I really could not put it down. I’d been waiting for this book for a while. When you finish one of the books in this series you immediately want the next one but unfortunately, you have to wait and I’m not a fan of that! And lots of characters from other books and series make guest appearances in this one so you’ve got a lot of other books to read if you haven’t while you wait on what comes next!

Six stars for this stunning conclusion to what has been an amazing series!

I absolutely loved this book series. The Minnesota Marshalls were captivating heroes the entire way through and having them all present in this book was the icing on the cake!

This series continues a timeline that started in Susan May Warren's Montana Marshalls series. (Yes, there are more Marshalls!) You would think by now, four or five book series later, that the adventure would be over and we would all be ready to move on. But instead, Susan just keeps pulling us back in as yet another strand gets added to this mystery. I love how she brings characters back to work with her new characters, you truly never know when a character you loved will pop up! (I'm still rooting for Roy to get his own story AND Creed brought back a character from earlier in this series (no spoilers) which made me soooo happy!!!)

Creed and Imani really started this series rolling and it was very fitting that they should get to end it too. I love the relationship between the two of them and how their love not only grew stronger throughout the series but it helped both of these characters find themselves too.

We also came back to Frasier and Pippa. My Captain America and Black Widow love story. These two warriors truly deserve their happy ending and I'm so glad we got to see a lot more of them in this book! (Also, don't miss the special extra epilogue! It was sooo perfect and just what I needed for these two!)

All in all, I know this is not the last time we will see the Marshalls from Minnesota and I am so glad! These true heroes captivated me from page one of Frasier's book and I would bet on them in a battle any day!

This was another wonderful story by one of my favorite authors! It's amazing to me how she can weave together so many characters that she's brought to life in this series and others and they show up to help each other and encourage each other. You see their stories progress and you hate to say goodbye. It's so much fun, though, wondering when you'll see them again as so many of her characters show up in different series. There was so much action in this one and intrigue as Imani's life was in danger over and over and it seemed like an inside job, yet no one could figure out who it was. There was amazing romance, of course, with more than one couple. The spiritual struggle and growth is what really sets her books apart for me, though, as each of her characters have struggled with issues we all do, such as forgiveness and identity and belonging and purpose. We may not become a princess or come from a rough background but we all can relate to these issues. Her characters are so relatable and real, even if they are tough and some of them save the world fairly regularly! I highly recommend this book and series and can't wait for where the next series takes us!

Creed isn't quite settled in his identity. If he looks back over his life, he sees: criminal; orphan; brother; and adopted son. That was all before he met Princess Imani. And that catapulted him into another series of roles, as bodyguard. Protector. And then, wounded warrior. As he recovers at home with his adoptive family, the Marshalls, Imani is there beside him. He's doing everything he can to get back on his feet; but with a bullet wound in his leg, that's easier said than done. But he's committed, and keeps after his PT.

Imani has come to care for Creed. But there's that little problem--she's a princess. And Creed is sort of barred from her country, Lauchtenland. Yet when she returns to fulfill princess duties, she is still in danger. And no one knows who the culprits (or assassins) are. But they may just have a connection with organized crime. And caesium. If Creed has to sneak back into Lauchtenland to protect Imani, he will do it. Even if it means prison.

The 5th and final book in The Minnesota Marshalls series was fantastic! Twists and turns I never saw coming, with marvelous heroes and heroines. And maybe, through adventure, danger, and love, Creed might finally determine his true identity. I definitely recommend this book with 5 stars!
