This is a good book about being afraid.

Feeling Afraid is a children’s book that addresses the common feeling the young children encounter of being afraid. It helps the children deal with the fear in a positive manner by showing examples in the book. The narrator is a gerbil, a pet of the child who is feeling afraid in the book. It also explains why you may feel scared in specific situations.
One of the things I particularly liked about this picture book were the illustrations. The illustrator did a very good job of showing the young boys emotions, making obvious to the readers how the boy was feeling. I liked that the pictures were very simple, but well drawn out. Every image showed enough detail in a effective manner.
I really liked the use of the book. My mom used to read this book to me when I was younger and I remembered that reading this book helped me understand the feeling fear. I think that all young children should read books like these. It would be very effective to their development.

Such a great book for kids and adults to read together!! Joy Berry has a wonderful way of bringing things to a kids level to help them understand things better. Sometimes as an adult we forget kids see and process the world differently than us.
Beautifully illustrated to help kids pay attention while learning valuable life lessons!
This series is wonderful for any home or classroom! I want them for he community center where I work!! I am also thrilled they are being made available as ebooks!!
