Used this book in 1994-1995 when teaching aircraft and missile design. Recognized its shortcomings then.

2023 perspective: Most forecasts the authors made in 1984 were wrong. Some, especially those concerning military aircraft evolution, were obviously wrong at the time. The predictions of commercial tended to be straight-line extensions of then-current trends--like supersonic transports.
