Applied to both ordinary and extraordinary situations, the gentle guidelines outlined in this book promise to enrich the lives of readers, enabling a prouder, more confident, and productive life.
While walking the aisles of my library, the slim spine of Simple Courtesies caught my attention with the subtitle, How to be a kind person in a rude world. Boy, could we all use a refresher course on kindness in today's world. Published in 1998, this book had great suggestions and reminders for face-to-face encounters wrapped around The Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. For me, even without a chapter for Internet social interaction, it was a good reminder to simply be kind in all our interactions.
This book has never been reviewed nor added on anybody's list; I think it should, frankly I don't know why it hasn't, My dad told me to read today and I was like "No" But I should of just took the book, it's a very good book, on how to be nice to people and sorta like 12-steps to kindness and a better you, which is good if you need a guide on how to be nice. I haven't finished reading it but it's a good read so far.
