A man of wealth. A girl on the edge. A fairy tale ripped from reality, More Than A Maybe is a story of passion, attraction, and the price of desire.
Overwhelmed by her mother's death and in desperate need of a miracle, Alice finds herself in the middle of an impossible crisis. All seems lost until she meets Xavier Black, a wealthy and mysterious stranger who is willing to help, no strings attached. It's the beginning of a sensual adventure for them both — one that will teach them the price of perfection, the costs of commitment, and the meaning of love.
Inspired by actual events.
More Than A Maybe is an erotically-charged romance intended for mature readers.
It took me a while to get into this book, once it did tho I was captivated as to what will happen next. There are a few things that I didn't understand but personally I think way into books. The characters were devolped but not to the extent that I'm use to. I like to build the charaters in my mind as they form through out the book but that just didn't happen, I got basic descriptions. The story line was a little here are there. With out giving too much away I just kept waiting for the climax to happen and it never came it just kinds strolled along. I would recomend the book to someone who just wanted something to read casually. I truely belive that a book should not be reviewed unless it was completely read-and I did finish the book.
I truly enjoyed this story. At first, I was not sure I could read it as I had a little trouble getting started. However, once I got a couple chapters in, I found myself engrossed in the story. The unique twist to the poor girl meets rich boy theme was refreshing. The chemistry between Alice/Veronica and Xavier was warm, sweet and at times sizzling! It was a pleasure to read this book.
~ I received a courtesy copy of this book and am giving an honest review. ~
I received this book in exchange for a honest review.
This was a different take on poor girl/rich guy fairy tale. I found myself engrossed in the story - after the first couple of chapters. But felt the author could have built the characters better. I didn't feel the connection to the characters that you like when you read. But I still enjoyed the book and look forward to watching the author grow.
Really? I keep asking myself why am I reading this drivel? The heroine is selfish, snobbish, egotistical and just plain fake! the leading man is uptight and morose. I just couldn't stand another word past around 70% of this book. The writing is amateurish and the plot just superficial. I know this is someones hard work but I'm here to tell it as it is.
