The author has given the reader the facts behind why he ended up a criminal, gives details of the various prisons and situations he has encountered. He uses his book to set the record straight on many inaccuracies and rumour surrounding him from other members of the Glaswegian underground. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, however, my only criticism of it would be that it was

The issue I found with this book was that I have not read any of the preceding ones by either the criminals associated with Loban or the police involved. This meant that the tit-for-tat storytelling did not mean much to me. I understand that Loban is trying to put the record straight and to those involved it must make for very interesting reading. Having lived in Glasgow for a good many years I was familiar with the names of the gangsters and also the places that William Lobban mentions. This was his chance to set the record straight on what had previously been printed in other books.
