Shelves: horror
This anthology blew me away. I don't normally read zombie stuff because it's just too gruesome for me, but I got a hold of an advanced reader copy and this seriously changed my view of what horror and zombies can be. There are a wide range of stories from computer controlled zoms, to junkies, and even some fantasy zombies, and the romance aspect... Let's just say that I'll never look at zombies the same again! Roms Bombs & Zoms is part of the Three Little Word anthology series from Evil Girlfriend Media, in which every story must contain romance, bombs, and zombies in some way integral to the plot. Of the three words in the criteria, I am really only keen on bombs, but the widely varied approaches to all three words from the authors has me rethinking my usual adverse reaction toward the zombie tale. As usual, the quality in the stories varied rather a lot. I really enjoyed some, but some of the authors struggled a little to get romance, zombies and bombs into their stories. Still, it was an interesting collection.
