I killed my first victim at thirteen years old – my age, not his. He was going to rape me, him and a couple of his friends. And so, I killed him. And then… I killed again. And again.
At seventeen, I’m killing four to six times a year – maybe more. Don’t stress out. I only go after the pedophiles and rapists. There are more out there than I could cover in a lifetime.

Have you read that blurb? Now tell me you don't want to read this. You can't? That's what I thought.

Killing someone didn't happen every day. At least not for normal people.

Ever since I have read that blurb I have been dying to read it. I had a high hopes for this book and I'm happy to say that it totally lived up to my expectations. I have always enjoyed reading thought-proving books that make me rethink

Action from the getgo.

The sheriff’s son, Deegan, helps the preacher’s daughter cover up the death of bad boy Bobby. They were friends, but this changed their relationship, brought them closer.

Her instinct was to take his ring for a trophy, but Deegan had a better idea. A tattoo.

The death changed her and now she is on the run. She is fueled by nightmares of Bobby, but determined not to be caught.

Psycho - crazy; insane

We live our lives trying to forget the bad things and we cherish the good ones like there is no tomorrow. Do we?
We should do it more...
Well, that's what we try to do, and at least that's what I try to think I do. Because what else can I do? Remember that life isn't a sea of roses, that the bad guys don't go to jail?
I'm not perfect. Way far from that!
And in my imperfection I love to dream that in the world there's peo

Wow! What a frickin story! I love books base on, people getting justice, revenge and vigilante killings. And if you know me, i hate reading or seeing on the news about children being abused or murdered. Makes me absolutely livid, when the abuser just gets a slap on the wrist. While the child gets a lifetime of physical and mental pain! So, when I stumbled across this book on Amazon and read the blurb, I couldn't hit one-click fast enough.

Without going into too much detail, basically it's ab

I'm tempted to shelve this as a fantasy, because it is a fantasy, a revenge fantasy. As that, it's rather brilliant. The blurb and other reviewers cover what the book is about, so I won't belabor that here. I will say if you were ever sexually assaulted/molested/abused, if you know anyone who's ever been sexually assaulted/molested/abused, OR if you've ever just been horrified by hearing about sexual assault/molestation/abuse, you might love this book! It's a girl's get even. BIG TIME. What I re ...more

I walked into PSYCHO INSIDE ME expecting a simple thriller. I closed the book with a lot of thoughts in my head, from what society views acceptable, to the difference between right and wrong. This book will be divisive – I can imagine mixed reactions on all sides from love to hate. But isn’t a good book supposed to spark emotions?

One moment changes everything for thirteen year old Cassie, the preacher’s daughter, when she is attacked by a group of local thugs. Her firs

Psycho Inside Me is a great novel about wanting to make a difference in the world when it comes to the terrible and sick violence that is all too frequent. Cassie wants to stop horrible men from victimizing children in the worst possible way. However, her methods are a bit unorthodox. To stop these men, Cassie decides to simply kill them. Vigilantes and vigilante work is something that I am very interested in. I think that it is a highly debated topic and not many people truly know how they feel ...more

Okay with a blurb starting out like this one, talking about killing her first victim at thirteen, how could you not want to pick up this book and see what it is all about and read about this girls story? I know I did!! I love the idea of this book, kind of a Dexter theme to it, though the main character, Cassie, isn't working with police to find these men and kill them. She's doing it on her own, well almost. She has Deegan right by her side.

Cassie was just 13 years old when she killed her victim...but that one is going to rape her so that's self defense, right?

Definitely not my normal reading, but I was surprised with this story. The beginning was the hardest part for me (not the book, just because it is out of my normal genre and comfort zone lol), but then it took off and I enjoyed it. Well written. I am excited to read the author's zombie romance books now, just to see what happens lol...
This was a bit difficult for me. Being a survivor, it did bring back memories I would rather not think about. Realistically, I think about them anyway. To say I liked the book makes me wonder what kind of person I am. I mean she is 13-17 taking the lives of people, sometimes setting them up. But then I think about the people. They were rapists and pedophiles. Suddenly, I’m good with it.
I read these kinds of books because I like examining the minds of the victim and the perpetrator. Cassie is bo

I must say, this was a pretty short read. And it was anything but quick and easy. I mean seriously. there were times I just had to stop and take a breather. There was no way I could have finished this all in one sitting even if I wanted to. Why's that? It was just so difficult to process some of the things these guys did. I mean, seriously. There were also quite a few moral implications that I had to spend some time accepting. I get that these people are bad. And I totally understa

When starting this book, I thought it sounded amazing. I was a little nervous though, I'd never read anything like it so I was worried about whether or not I would enjoy it.

From the first few pages, I was immediately hooked. I listened almost constantly(I read the audiobook version) and let me tell you this is not a book I recommend for a bedtime story(and i mean that i

Have you read the blurb for this book? It starts talking about killing at age 13... the age of the killer. From there, Cassie is compelled to kill on each anniversary of that first kill. She takes out men who she deems deserve to die, pedophiles and rapists (the sludge of American society). She becomes a vigilante.
And she's not alone.
Every year after Deegan helps rescue Cassie from her would-be rapist, he is there on the anniversary to help her. That year in between kills is fraught with life,

The plausibility of this book is just not there. Cassie's an amateur and she doesn't improve from one kill to the next.
She leaves her prints everywhere. There were prints in the cop car. I'm sure there were plenty of hairs left behind at every one of her crime scenes. The cop had bitten her nipple. He had her skin cells. She had blood all over her clothes.
It mentions she has scratches and bruises which means her victims would have her skin cells under their nails. There's just no way

I wanted to read this book because the synopsis sounded interesting, and the cover looked good too. Because, in my opinion, the synopsis gives away so many details from the plot and the action of the book, I won't talk about it myself.

This book is good if you want to read something different, kind of original, fast paced, and not so long. It's a good novel because of th

Wow, that was not what I was expecting at all!

As the blurb suggests, this book is about a girl named Cassie, a preachers daughter, who was the victim of an attempted rape at the young age of thirteen. Her attacker, a young neighbourhood creep, meets his demise when Cassie's friend-turned-accomplice, Deegan, shows up to rescue her and they accidentally kill him. Keeping the secret of their first kill, there is no denying that it has changed Cassie and Deegan permanently. Over the years the pair e

It brought out emotions I could not handle at times, so I put it down and came back later. I am an emotional reader.

Cassie is a 13 year old preacher's daughter. Minding her own business and enjoying a peaceful day, she is confronted by a group of popular older boys. A group of boys that have very bad intentions when it comes to the innocent Cassie.

When their confrontation turns dangerous, Cassie fights for herself and accidentally kills her attacker.

What a wild ride! I love books that are from the point of view of the killer, it's so fascinating to see their side of the story and to read the things that could easily go through a real killers mind! I love Cassie she was a very likeable character, having a partner in crime definitely made things more exciting(is there a URL to where i can order one of those?!) .. If only guys were that helpful in real life! ha

I wouldn’t’ recommend Psycho Inside Me to anyone under the age of 15, even 16. I didn't really know what to expect from this book but wow, I was expecting what I read. It was an amazing read full of raw emotions.

The Good
I do love me a good vigilante book. I love when people get to get revenge or justice on the bad people of the world, and that’s what Psycho Inside Me provided.

I did enjoy some of the story. It was nerve-wracking and exciting.

This book follows around Cassie, a preacher’s daughter. She hasn’t really done anything wrong in her life and she follows the Ten Commandments that have been drilled in her head. This all changes on the day that a group of kids show up at Cassie’s little getaway spot with not so good intentions. Her life takes a drastic turn when one of the boys in the group, Bobby, decides that he is going to take Cassie’s virginity and Cassie is too scared to do anything. Then Deegan comes to the rescue.
