Home For Christmas by Melissa McClone is book #2 in the Copper Mountain Christmas series. I am a warm weather girl and have been for all of my adult life. My blood is probably as thin as water. But Melissa McClone and the Bar V5 ranch in Marietta, Montana make me yearn for snow and horses and cattle and those oh so handsome Montana Cowboys.

The story of Rachel and Nate brought me in from the first page. The bond of brother/ sister between Ty and Rachel are very strong. Ty is very protective Of Rachel, due to her past mistakes, will not let anyone hurt including Nate.
This is true story of Christmas in Montana. Gingerbread cookies, mistletoe, plenty of snow and hopefully love for Rachel. I highly recommend this story to get you in the mood for the upcoming holiday season.

Home for Christmas by Melissa McClone is a lovely sweet and clean holiday romance. It’s perfect for curling up with in an easy chair with a cup of hot chocolate. This is the first book in the author’s Bar V5 Dude Ranch series and the second book in her Copper Mountain Christmas series. It works perfectly well as a stand-alone read with a self-contained romance and plot line. This is the story of venture capitalist and dude ranch owner Nate Vaughn and pastry chef Rachel Murphy.

Clean romance, nothing beyond kissing and vaguely roving hands. I can't even remember any curse words but I can't promise there aren't any.

This book has a style of romance that isn't my thing. It's dual POV so there are pages of thoughts by both the h and H about the other person, be it descriptions of how they look, thoughts about wanting more or whatever. This is followed by pages of why they must not act on these thoughts. All through the book this constant push and pull dynamic occurs. It is

This was a fun read! All the details of the gingerbread houses made me hungry but all their inner turmoil, trying to stay away from their budding romance, filled me up!

This was a new author to me and I enjoyed the audio version very much!

I always enjoy sweet Christmas stories during the holidays and start reading them in early October. This is a sweet love story, but a bit too vanilla for me. The beginning started out exceedingly well and drew me in, but then I grew slightly frustrated with Rachel and Nate. I had a difficult time because both of them had a very hard time making up their minds.

Rachel comes to Montana to visit her brother, Ty and to lick her wounds. Her dreams of owning her own bakery are shattere

The snow was beautiful, but being dressed in a parka, hat and gloves was something that Rachel wasn’t used to. Born and raised in Arizona, Rachel was used to warmer weather. However, she agreed to spend this Christmas in Montana with her brother, Ty. Rachel has had a rough few months and could use a getaway. Trained in culinary arts, Rachel embarked on a business with a couple who she thought were her friends. It turned out that they were just out to take advantage of her. Rachel has since devel ...more

This is the sweet Christmas romance of Rachel and Nate. Rachel's been burned by business partners, romance, but not in the kitchen. She can bake like nobody's business, and she puts all of her focus on making money to start fresh. Spending Christmas with her brother in Montana is a contrast to her life in AZ, and making gingerbread houses becomes a great way to earn seed money for a new bakery in AZ. Spending time with Nate is fun, but she has no intention in staying in Montana forever. Nate kee ...more

Home for Christmas was a scrumptious read. The title alone makes me think of my own special memories of being home for Christmas. Melissa Mc Clone’s descriptions of Rachel’s yummy gingerbread houses and cookies had me wanting run out to the store to get the ingredients and bake some! I think I had a little drooling going on almost the whole time I read the story.
Rachel and Nate were adorable characters that I was rooting for them to figure out they were meant to be together from the first moment

I loved this Copper mountain christmas story. A heartwarming book that grabbed me from the first page until the last and I wanted more when I was finished. Haven't read any of Melissa's book in the past but I'm looking forward to reading more now. I loved the characters in this book especially Nate and Rachel and how their story evolved.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good holiday romance.

I LOVED this story. Beautifully written, great characters and the story just flows. One that has you upset when you get to the last page because you want more!!

Nate is ready for more in his life...a wife and family...but he can't seem to meet a woman he even wants a second date with. Then he meets Rachel. But there might be a problem...ok a few. Not to worry Nate has a plan. What could go wrong....

Grab this one fast. I highly recommend it.

Okay, I think I may be in the minority here.

I like the premise. And this year I stocked up on Christmas stories leading up to the actual day as I wanted to get into the spirit (since everything's green outside!). The idea that a foreman's sister comes to a ranch/b&b kind of thing and she falls for the owner (and brother's BFF) was nice because, you know, tension! You know the bro will get a punch or two in. And the fact that she was a baker was also good, in my opinion.

But then.

Good thing Rachel Murphy's gingerbread doesn't get burned as bad as she has in love and business!
