MMA Fighter #3

Worth Forgiving

Rate this book
They say men like a lady in the living room and a whore in the bedroom. I never knew the sentiment was reciprocal. Until I met Jax Knight. A gentleman in public, a commanding, dirty talking rogue in the bedroom.

Daughter of legendary fighter “The Saint,” Lily St. Claire knows firsthand how fighters can be. As the owner of a chain of MMA gyms, she’s no stranger to aggressive, dominating, and possessive men. That’s why she’s always kept her distance. But the day Jax Knight walks through her door she’s captivated by his charm. Stunningly handsome, well mannered, Ivy League educated, and confident, he shatters all the preconceived notions she’d come to think were true about men who trained to fight.

But falling for someone so soon after her breakup wasn’t something she’d planned on. And definitely not something her ex plans to allow.

3.5--Forgiving--Stars!

I'm really torn between filling 3 and 4 stars for this one! Sadly the heroine, Lily, ruined this one for me.

And really I could have lived with Lily and her stupidity up until the "conflict" but then she really went and pissed me off.

And while I can forgive Lily....damn I just can't seem to forget how stupid she was.

But...let it be known that Jax was

The blurb makes it pretty obvious that Lily has an ex that is going to cause problems. After the death of her father, Lily takes over the gyms he co-owns with Joe. At the time of his death, Lily was in a bad place and Joe's nephew Caden is there to console Lily.

Caden, Caden, Caden....

Once Lily moves on from the death of her father, she realizes what a mistake being with Caden was. But she feels guilty because he did help her through a tough time. Lily for real needed to

Caden was psycho...like obssessed, stalker, needs some meds crazy! And Lily was just so passive about it.

Jax is looking to be a silent partner/investor in the gyms once Joe retires. He meets Lily at the gym and is immediately attracted to her. Jax really was great. He was a flirt, he was a dirty talker...but he was also really sweet and considerate.

"I want to taste you. Curl my tongue deep inside of you and feel you come around my mouth as I drink every bit of what you give me. I want to plunge mu cock into you and fuck you long and hard. And then, I want to fill your pussy. Make you feel every bit of my hot come as it pours into you."

Jax definitely saved the book for me!

Caden never really goes away and then when it came down to the conflict. As if Lily could have gotten any more stupid. Yeah...

WTH Lily! WTH! It was really hard for me to forget at this point. I just don't have any patience for stupid, weak heroines!

Sadly, this is the last book in the series--even though I really wanted Reed to get a book--and I was really hoping to go out on a high note.

This one did have some nice steam, and again I really liked Jax. But Lily's never ending weakness towards Caden was just plain annoying!

3.5 it's all about Jax Stars

There's only two choices with a man. Forgive him or forget him. If you can't do the latter, then you need to forgive him because he's already stolen your heart.

I knew I would love Jax the second he was first introduced in Worth the Chance. And you know what? I was so right. This man was EVERYTHING.

Suit clad rich business man by day, dirty talking MMA fighter by night. And when I mean dirty talker, I mean dirty talker. This man could melt the panties of a nun. I mean Oh. My. Gawd.

Tell me what you thought I meant."
"You know what I thought you meant."
"Yes. But I want to hear you say it."
"Why?"
"Because I want to hear you talk dirty to me."

He was sweet and protective, sexy and dirty, and rang every single one of my bells. I loved him.

I've really enjoyed the previous 2 books in the series with Vince's book being my favorite. Unfortunately I found this one to be the weakest in the series. Thank goodness for Jax because he's the one thing that truly made the book for me.

I wanted to love Lily, and in the beginning I almost did. The daughter of legendary fighter "The Saint" and the current owner of the chain of MMA gyms he once started, she comes across as a little broken and gun shy when it comes to relationships.

But hell, given her recent ex boyfriend, who can blame the girl.
Oh. I can. Because why would this girl maintain a "friendship" with an ex that not only crosses any boundary she puts up, she actually fears him...and with good reason. Caden was psycho! And I mean PSYCHO. The man was utterly diranged with some serious anger management issues.

I spent most of the book waiting for her to really come into her own (read: grow a pair) and put him in his place. Welp, that never really happened.

At times I understood her struggle, especially being in the emotional place she was in and with the recent grief of losing her father so unexpectedly

For almost a year I've walked around numb, filled with an emptiness I never thought would be filled.

But as the book progressed my patience with her wore thin.

Luckily there was Jax. If you're on the fence about reading this book, it's worth it just for him. Trust me. And this is coming from someone that can't easily overlook a weak heroine.

I want to be there to catch you if you fall from now on, Angel.

While this may not have been my favorite book in the series, I do think that Jax was my favorite hero.

Given everything it was still looking to be a very solid 4 star read for me...up until the "conflict" of the story happened. Of all the stupid, pig headed, idiotic things. I have never had a bigger urge to reach through my Kindle and shake (read: bitch slap) some sense into a character. I won't spoiler what happened for you, but I will say that I simply couldn't believe it. For Lily to believe who she did and what she did, it didn't make sense for me. And maybe even if it did warrant such a reaction, the extent to which she took it, didn't.

And I wanted her to be the one doing it. Scratch that, I wanted her to flat out grovel. Instead we get Jax being the one that's "worth forgiving." I almost didn't feel like she deserved him in the end after everything he does for her.

But then Vi Keeland gives us that epilogue. And my anger with Lily somewhat (not fully) dissipated. It was such a perfect way to end this series, I just couldn't ask for anything better.

So all in all, I did genuinely enjoy this book minus a few things, of course. Would I recommend reading it? Absolutely. If you're a fan of the series, you don't want to mix Jax. And hey, it may not frustrate you as much as it did me. It was sweet, sexy, and of course the sex was scorching. I may not have loved it, but I definitely liked it a whole heck of a lot.

Title: Worth Forgiving
Series:MMA Fighter #3
Author:Vi Keeland
Release date: August 21, 2014
Rating:3.5-4 stars
Cliffhanger:No
HEA:

After reading the third and final installment of the MMA fighter series, I'm feeling a little nostalgic and sad to close the door on them for good. But while I won't say that I didn't like this one, unfortunately it was my least favorite of the bunch. The first two books were excellent for me-the second only seemed to improve from the first. So, yes, this was a tad disappointing, but there was still a lot to like. Jax was introduced to us in the last book-he's the scandalous senator's son and Vince's half brother. He's the most straight-laced of the three fighters-in fact, he's not even really a fighter but he has a lot more than what you see on the surface. The man is a study in contradictions:

regal: rough
pretty boy handsome: dirty mouthed
businessman sharp: edgy
sweet: sexy
well mannered: bossy

He was easily my favorite thing about the book. I loved how different he was from Nico and Vince, yet he still had that dominant edge to him. He likes to be in control in the bedroom, but he still treated Lily with respect and reverence.

He stares at me so intensely, I'm sure he can see through to my soul. It should scare me, but instead my heart wants to open and sing.

The poor guy had a lot of anger and resentment boiling up because of his shattered perceptions of his father. His whole life has been lived in deference to a man who he's come to learn is something he only despises. How can he learn to step from behind his father's shadow and find a way to live for himself?

Lily was just coming off of a very bad relationship. CADEN. That guy pissed me off to no end. Just when you think you're rid of him, he reappears causing more havoc. I really wanted to give him a good kick in his junk-he was really too much for words. But to name a few...

Stalker
creepy
abusive
controlling
douchebag
dangerous

Ew. Just ew. What really bothered me the most about this book was the fact that Lilly really allowed him to treat her like a doormat. He manipulated her throughout their "relationship" as well as every day after she dumped him. Even though she saw how wrong he was acting and broke things off, he refused to accept her decision and started some scary stalkerish behavior. And Lilly let him. All because he was there for her when her father died??

Caden was there to fill a void. I was shattered and he jumped up to pick up the pieces.

I'm sorry, I don't care what she thinks he did for her, his current behavior was out of control. She was literally scared of him yet she let him say and do whatever he wanted to her to avoid his temper. And I honestly didn't get why Jax needed to be "forgiven" at the end...? If anything, SHE is the one who needed forgiveness.

In the end, I found that the plot was a little more simple and straightforward than the others but aside from my issues with the heroine it was still a decent read with Vi's trademark delicious steamy scenes, a drool worthy hero, and enjoyable bantering between the two MCs. Vi Keelend has given us a wonderful fighter series to enjoy-so many heartfelt moments, humor, sweet and sexy times, and drama. I'm excited to see where she takes us with her future series.

This one is somewhere between 2.5 and 3 stars. More like 2 GR stars, but I'm no longer as pissed off as I was when I finished reading it.

I actually liked it 'til the last... 15% ish. It was close to 4 stars even, I had high hopes for it.
So what could turn a 4-star book into a 2 star one? You have 1 guess.

DING DING DING! You guessed it!
The MC turned into an idiot!

All went well until she decided she should be an idiot.
You know when you find a character that you want to strangle 'cause she's so obviously mistaking and yet she persists in her stupidity? That's what this chick did. She fell for an obvious ploy. Even more, she decided she should forgive the guy who's been stalking her and who . And weird enough, except the male MC, her beloved uncle doesn't seem to have too big of a problem with that. I mean, ok, he says that it's not ok what happened and blah blah blah, but really?! That's all he does?! Not only him, but her best friend didn't really want to do anything more than well... tell her that that wasn't ok. And all the guys at the gym, none of them seemed too upset about anything. And it was obvious, .
So yeah, all this kind of pissed me off.

Luckily, I'm writing this review after a couple of days after finishing the book, so I'm not as pissed as I was. I'd have given it 2 stars then, probably.

So, if you don't want to get pissed off, this shouldn't really be on your to-read shelf. Although I admit, it was damn nice for more than 2/3 of it. Maybe you should give it a try after all, decide for yourself.

Jax is training to fight and Lily co-owns a chain of MMA gyms. But what happens when both have obstacles in their way?

I thought being a daughter of a champion fighter would have made Lily tough. But she ended up being the helpless blushing heroine and there was times that she really annoyed me. Jax was gorgeous, strong, protective, sexy. What was not to like?!! and Caden *shivers*

So the series didn't end on a high note but overall I like this series. The MMA heroes were awesome, sexy time was good, ashame Lily brought the book down in this one for me.

Title: Worth Forgiving (MMA Fighter, #3)
Series: Yes
Author: Vi Keeland
Release Date: 21st August , 2014
Rating: 3.5 stars
Cliffhanger: No
HEA:

 photo E6CB260F-140F-4BE1-9C48-0E425632563E_zpsjeq5j3yl.jpg

Worth Forgiving is the third and final instalment of Vi Keeland's MMA Fighting Series. Let it be said she chose a mighty fine Male MC to go out with.

Jax Knight: Is, to the untrained eye; a suit. The professional, confident unassuming type. However, get him out of the suit and he's the all commanding, sexy alpha male type. Fresh from the devastation and consequences of his Fathers less than upstanding behaviour, Jax decides he has had enough of living in image that is expected of him and will start living for himself. This leads him to New York & Ralley's Gym. His plans for business are soon mixed with pleasure when he encounters co-owner of the gym, Lily.

Lily St. Claire: Like the previous Female MC's in the series, Lily has had to struggle through some tough times in her past, more recently the death of her beloved Father; but unlike the rest, I struggled with relating with her the most. In all fairness most of my frustration with her stemmed from her weakness and decisions making skills in regards to ex boyfriend and all around douche, Caden.

Caden is attitude is entitled, self righteous, intimidating borderline stalker-ish amongst other things; due to this I found it hard to understand Lily's misplaced guilt in ending their relationship. To sum up my feelings for Caden:

 photo E93176C0-6067-4800-8394-17AA4C2BA0C9_zps74ire69w.gif

The attraction between Jax and Lily is instant but due to her issues with Caden, Lily is overly cautious and reluctant to take things further. Jax meanwhile is patient, kind and supportive throughout. I found him different to the other men in the series and my favourite in all honesty. Whereas the others had the physical strength, Jax has more of a quiet strength; he's solid in character and integrity and downright sexy.

 photo 857B003C-2A8D-4244-BE6C-4C5DF255CC98_zpsxifo2kdd.jpg

Thankfully, Lily soon sees sense and what ensues is a passionate relationship, leaving them both fulfilled in every way:

 photo FEBB3D69-035C-46CC-8E40-E1EC2581419C_zpsiec7efhw.jpg

There is some drama for the couple and this is where the "Forgiveness" element in the story comes into play. I wasn't completely sold on who needed forgiving and why but there is a sweet conclusion to the story and series... Plus Vince, Nico and Jax in the same book does not suck, at all!

"Every time I see you smile, I smile. Your happiness has become my happiness. Either I'm in love with you, or you really are my very own Angel. Either way we were meant to be."

3.75-4 stars!!

Me before reading: Omigah!! I WANT it already!! I was already half in love with Jax in Worth the Chance and now I just want to keep him for myself and lock him in a cave with me forever! lol♡♥

Me finished reading: Waaah!! I'm done! ! I can't believe it's all over!! Jax, I LOVE YOU!!♡♥♡♥

description

Worth Forgiving was a bittersweet ending to Vi Keeland’s MMA fighter trilogy. I’ll admit that the epilogue didn’t exactly wow me but when all’s said and done, I really enjoyed the bow on tie to this read and it’s two previous predecessors from start to finish.

“Love isn’t something you can turn off. When it happens, it takes a little piece of who you are. I think people sometimes people keep fighting because they’re more afraid to lose that piece of them, rather than lose the person they love.”

Lily St. Claire is the daughter of a legendary fighter in the MMA world and the co-owner of a chain of infamous MMA gyms.

She knows what it’s like to be around testosterone filled, ego charged, and dominating men and has shared her own personal woes with one possessive douche bag in the love department.

So when mysterious, “straight-laced” appearing, educated and successful businessman, Jackson “Jax”/”Pretty Boy” Knight, walks into her gym looking to train and perhaps some nookie, she is skeptical. She’d already tampered business with pleasure and seen where it got her.

Now with an ex that won’t let her go and her growing attraction for Jax, how will it all turn out? Not to mention, when her father’s business legacy is in jeopardy and her trust is blatantly betrayed by someone most close to her, will she gain justice and somehow find forgiveness in the guilty party?

“There’s only two choices with a man. Forive him or forget him. If you can’t do the latter, then you need to forgive him because he’s already stolen your heart.”

And Jax. With Jax’s dysfunctional family problems in the midst and a threat upon Lily to contend with, will Jax win the fight of his life while regaining Lily’s honor and win her heart in the end? Or will everything end in shatters and heartache for him (and Lily)?

Read and you will find out!

#An anti-climatic conclusion to this wonderful series but you know what, I liked it anyway!

It did a wonderful job of bringing characters and themes full circle and giving us a peak into the all of our heroines’ futures. I am a VERY content girl right now. *beaming smile*

Great job Vi!! I’ll miss Jax, Lily, Vince, Liv, Nico, and Elle but I’m glad to have had the pleasure of journeying through it will all of them!! They will be dearly missed but all in all, they’ve finally found their peace and happiness.

Bon voyage Mr. Knight, Mr. Stone, and Mr. Hunter!! It’s been a swell, steamy, and one hell a ride getting to know you!! xoxo

3 – 3.5 Jax Stars

I love this series, but I struggled with this one. I was hooked at the beginning, but as I continued to read, I started to fall asleep. Suffice it to say, it took me two months for me to read this book. I went back to it several times reading a chapter here and there.

Lily works at the gym and Jax works out at the gym. There is some cute banter between the two as they interact at the gym. I loved this part and I could have read tons of this. But Lily and Jax kind of formed a relationship fairly quickly and that’s when the story began the drag.

Don’t get me wrong there are some nice obstacles to create some tension, like Lily’s crazy ex and Lily’s struggle to make the gym profitable. But the execution of the side plots was a little flat to me.

I usually like a crazy ex, but there was something about Lily’s ex that didn’t add up right and I couldn’t see him as the true villain I love to hate in books. I found him a bit comical and wondered if the guy was really real or a crazy made up person. It’s hard to explain, maybe I was just in a mood when I read it.

I didn’t understand the problems between Jax and Lily. It has something to do with the business and it was just, I don’t know, I didn’t see the point of that being a focal issue. I wanted Lily to have a terrible past or Jax being too controlling for Lily, but I didn’t get any of that.

I think my expectations were too high. I would have enjoyed this book more if 30% was cut out, if Lily and Jax didn’t hook up so quickly and there was a stronger issue. I still love the author and I still enjoy the series, I will not give up on it! I just hope this one was just a fluke.

4 Fighting for Love Stars!!

Jackson “Jax” Knight is the perfect mix of Alpha male (he is after all a MMA fighter), respected business man who wears $3000 suits, and the perfect gentleman (except in the bedroom). We first met Jax in Worth the Chance and despite only a brief appearance I knew I wanted to know more about him, he made a great first impression.

Jax Knight was still reeling from the fallout of his father's scandal. Because of the scandal he was thrust into a media frenzy, and his life was no longer his own and he hates it. We see different side to Jax and it was a bit heart breaking. He had dreams of his own, dreams he wanted so bad that he's continued his training, training he's been doing since he was a young boy. He sacrificed his own dreams of being a MMA fighter because his father thought it to be barbaric and he was the son of a United States Senator, therefore he had to have a respectable profession. But now that “Daddy Dearest” has soiled the family name he decides to finally follow his dream….

"It's the first time in more than six months that I feel like I'm going in the right direction. Hell, it's the first time in a very long time, I feel like I have any direction."

Worth Forgiving photo PicsArt_1456798467879_zpszm4d8lzd.jpg

Lily St Claire is co-owner of a chain of fighter gyms she inherited when beloved father died suddenly from a heart attack. She has learned the hard way not to mix business with pleasure, it was a rule she'd broken once and she’s still paying for that mistake. Her ex Caden refuses to let her go and worse, he’s the nephew of her business partner, so not only does he work at the various gyms she co-owns but he’s also a fighter who train’s there. Caden was a complete a$$hole, he was, and is aggressive and controlling, he’s always there, lurking in the background. I really felt for Lily because she was stuck in an impossible situation, she felt guilty because when her father had died, it was Caden who had been there to help pick up the pieces of her shattered heart.

Looking into a new business opportunity, Jax relocates from DC to NY and find’s himself at Lily's gym, the minute their eyes meet HE.IS.HOOKED!!! And Lily felt those same sparks…. I loved Jax's playful side with Lily, between his good looks and hot bod, and seductive way’s Lily didn’t stand a chance!! Jax is all kinds of sweet and hot, and in the bedroom....all I can say is WOW, he’s got his dirty talk down!!!!

"Are you always such a flirt?" I tilt my head and ask coyly
"This isn't flirting," he responds with a sexy grin.
"It's not? Then what would you call it?"
His eyes glimmer. "Foreplay."

Jax and Lily’s road to their HEA is a bit bumpy, there were some misunderstandings and Lily’s weakness towards Caden bothered me a bit, but, all-in-all it was a great ending to the series…which now brings me to the fantastic epilogue. I loved the epilogue (which is 6 yrs in the future), Jax and Vinny were able to overcome the past and become not only brothers but friends and that friendship includes Nico…there’s more to the epilogue but I don’t want to give it away but, I will say it was very sweet and satisfying.

My Rating: 4½★

Worth Forgiving beautifully concludes the end of Keeland's MMA Fighter series. The story nicely tied everything in a bow and sends all of our hot guys -- Nico, Vince, and Jax -- out on a satisfied happy note.

If you follow the series, you will remember that Jax is Vince half-brother, connected by their lying, cheating father, Senator Knight. At the end of Worth the Chance, Jax pretty much walks away from the life that Daddy Dearest scripted for him. The media is hounding the Knight family and his mother, sad and she is, chooses to stand by her man. However, Jax wants no parts of his former life. He essentially turns over the reins of his investment company to his partner, moves out of the family home into a hotel, and decides to do what HE wants to do with his life. Jax loves MMA fighting, although he only does it for a hobby because "The Senator" didn't approve of such crass or brutish activities. In an ultimate act of defiance, Jax decides to silently invest in a popular chair of MMA gyms who is looking for a silent partner. Since Jax's life is in such an upheaval in DC and he is constantly being hounded by reporters, he decides to go to New York to help broker the deal with the gym owners.

Enter Lily St. Clair

Lily is the daughter of the legendary fighter "The Saint". After the untimely death of her father, Lily's life was thrown in a virtual tailspin. She became the co-owner of the Ralley gyms and had to deal with the tragic loss of her one and only parent. She couldn't do it. At least not alone, so she heavily relied on on Caden Catone, who worked at the gym and also happened to be the co-owners, Joe Ralley's, nephew. After some time passes, Caden weaves his way into every area of Lily's life and bed. But Caden is a total and complete jealous, possessive ape! When Lily breaks things off with him, he decides that it isn't over and becomes a virtual stalker that Lily has to see and work with every day. She tries to let him down gently but he doesn't want to accept that she doesn't want him anymore.

When Jax finishes his first day of training at the gym, he spies the beautiful and understated seductress Lily. He silently watches her while she is totally enraptured by the sketch she is working on. Immediately Jax wants her. And Lily is as equally taken by Jax. A perfect storm of things push the couple closer together and they are able to free their attraction and passion for one another.

Can I just say that I love Jax!!!

He was an Ivy League business man. Suave. Seductive. Potent. He didn't have the bad-boy air that we got from Nico and Vince and he didn't even have tattoos. *Gasp*...I know, right! But what he did have *fans face*...was 100% alpha-male sexiness. Mr. Jax was a sexy dirty talker in the bed room and totally dominated Lily and met her passion for passion. But in every situation with Lily -- both in and out of the bedroom -- Jax was a total gentleman with her. He never treated her as anything less than a lady. In fact, he spoiled her with just "being" with her with no motive or agenda...or so she thought. When Lily finds out Jax's secret, she is devastated because of his betrayal. Oh, don't hate Jax, he had a reason for doing what he did. It's a valid reason. But Lily won't hear his reason. The couple is almost torn apart because of the intersection of their former lives -- Caden and Jax's father.

But, Jax wasn't going to take any of that sitting down. Even if Lily never forgave him, he was going to make things right for her. And he does. But, he also finds out that she was betrayed by someone else she trusted. He also works to make THAT situation right. And, that thrusts him squarely back into Nico and Vince's world. But, if you'll remember, Vince and Jax aren't exactly BFF's. They actually tacitly hate one another. However, Vince is a good guy and he listens to Jax's tale and his plan to save Lily. Vince recognizes that Jax is actually a good guy too -- nothing like their father -- and decided to help. I loved seeing Nico, Vince, and Jax all work together without the taint of the past. With their help, Jax definitely makes this right and teaches Caden a valuable lesson -- never judge a book by it's cover.

But that still leaves the situation between Lily and Jax unsettled.

Lily and Jax have their moment and are able to hash out everything that is bothering them. But still, it looks like it's going to be the end of them because they both walk away from one another. At this point in the story, I'm sweating bullets and plotting my revenge on Vi if she leaves the story like this. LOL Fortunately, Lily and Jax are able to "get over themselves" and decide that their love is worth fighting for. Their reconciliation was sweet...and very sexy.

The epilogue to the book was one that I will remember for a long time. We get to see Lily and Jax's life six years into the future. They are happy and married and settled into a comfortable family life. Lily is seeing their young son, Jackson off to school while Jax is away at a fight with Nico and Vince. Their is a sweet part of the story that is repeated because Jax does something for their son that Lily told him that her father did for her as a young girl. It made her fall in love with her husband all over again. But beyond that, we get to see Jax and Vince's relationship in the future. They are actually more than just brothers. They have become good friends, along with Nico. It was good to see the series end on such a well rounded manner. I will miss my MMA boys but I'll definitely revisit them again and again and again!

This series is definitely Worth Reading.

** A little reminder for those that might be wondering who is Jackson...
We met Jackson briefly in Worth the Chance. Vince’s half-brother, son of the Senator – that cutie that hit on Liv and seemed like he was more beyond the smooth polish he had to show the world... Yeah, that’s Jackson.

Screenshot_12

Jax’s life has been turned upside down over the last few months when the story hits that his father, the Senator has lived a double life. The press had hounded him and for the first time he isn’t looking to be what his father has groomed him to be. That was all lost when his father tumbled from the pedestal he was perched on. Now he is off to discover his own dreams and to become his own man. Business has come easy to him but mixed martial arts has always been a passion. Heading to New York to work a deal to invest in a gym franchise will be the perfect way to blend his two worlds. Escaping the media circus and his father is just an added bonus.

Lily was raised around the ring. Her father was a fighter and now carrying on his legacy through his gym has become her life. Taking on a partner has its risks, but knowing that she’d remain in control set herself at ease. What had her nerves on edge was the beautiful man that was set on closing that deal. Attraction was instant, but she had to worry about Camden – the man that couldn’t see that her breaking up with him months ago was the end of the relationship she never really wanted. Lucky for her, Jax isn’t about to let a man unwilling to let go of a fantasy get in his way.

Screenshot_3

I am a solid fan of Vi’s work. Whether it’s in the form of a hot hotel owner or a sweaty, muscled piece of man meat in a ring – she has a way of creating fantastic alpha males that make you swoon. Each fractured in their own way but all with confidence and determination. Jax was no different. I loved watching him go after what he wanted.

The chemistry between Lily and Jax was perfection. A slow burn that ignited into a fire as they give in to what they both desire. I found myself reaching back for those moments of sexual tension though. Once these two give in to the attraction, I felt like that chemistry dwindled a bit. The sex was still scorching but I longed for that initial feeling of the build-up that was lost a bit as they tumbled into bed. The moments where they were just in each other’s company were some of my favorites.

There is a simple and easy way about the way this author writes her stories. There are twists and turns along the way, but you are never left wondering if you are going to get to that happy place by the end. It’s a pure feel good read, the kind that you can get completely lost in.

The third and final installment of the series was a great note to close this chapter on. Nico, Vince and Jax all delivered fantastic reads and I am excited to see what Vi brings us next.

ARC received from the author in exchange for an honest review.

SPOILER WARNING!!!!! I was really looking forward to reading this book. I really enjoyed the other two books in this series. This book was disappointing compared to the others. I gave this a three stars which means average to me. I loved Jax he was a gentlemen but behind the bedroom door something else. I liked that he didn't ever go back to his father in the story. It shows how strong willed he is. The reason this book is such a disappointment to me is Lilly. The book summary makes it sound like she a take no bullshit type of person that she wasn't. She constantly let Caden(her Ex) manipulate and guilt trip her. She constantly let it go on to. Another thing she should of not let Caden treat her like they didn't break up. She was really a pushover when it comes to him. He strangled her neck, left her bruised for days and she supports him for his fight. I thought I would really like her in the beginning but I ended up hateing her character. She seemed very artsy in the beginning, that part of her was lost in the endow the book. In the end of the book she believed what Caden said about Jax after everything Caden did to her. In my opinion she's an idiot and weak. Everything else I enjoyed but Lilly. Her best friend Reed, I loved him he was the perfect addition to this book. I liked that they brought Vince back from the other book he added something. The epilogue was perfectly done. As a said if it wasn't for Lilly this would have a higher rating.

Incredible read!! Perfect ending to a series I adored. I loved how different all the fighters were and yet all had an alpha streak. The wrap up at the end was memorable and I didn't stop smiling. Full review to come during blog tour!

♦ 4 "Angel" Stars! ♦

Worth Forgiving is the last book in this trilogy by the author Vi Keeland, and it didn't disappoint me. It is a beautiful love story between Jax Knight, a tycoon and secret brother of Vince Stone (the hero from book 2), and the daughter of a fighter who has some problems with her ex, Lily St. Claire.

As always, this author knows how to write, especially the sexy scenes and the hero's dirty talk is to die for, ladies! However, I find this book to be the one that I enjoyed less in the trilogy. Maybe because it focuses too much on the thing with the ex and not in how this two fantastic characters develop deeper feelings for each other. Also, perhaps I didn't like it as much because Vince Stone is too difficult to beat (yeah, I loved him THAT much).

But, I can definitely say and recommend this trilogy to all the readers out ther who enjoy erotic romance, sports, and a hero who knows how to melt you with his words ;)

4.5 Business Deal Stars

Is there anything sexier than a nice looking guy in suit? I mean underwear models are nice, but dressed up? In a suit. Ready to open the door for you? That is sexy. My theory on this Sexy Suit Phenomenon is that coded into our genetic DNA is the assumption that if a guy is dressed in this manner he must
A. Have a job
B. Earn a pay check

Now this is not to say that we are shallow and only want a man for his bank account. NO. I think A & B add up to C.

C. He is a mature guy who does not live on his mother's couch eating Doritos and playing video games all day. Therefore.....he is not going expect US to take care of him.

Yes....suits are sexy.

Lily hasn't spent much time with guys in suits. She works in the fight gym her dad built into an empire. She deals more with sweaty guys in shorts beating on each other. Not a bad job at all.

Jax is an entrepreneur who secretly wants to be an MMA fighter. He trains but doesn't compete because he dad wouldn't like it. He is about done with pleasing his dad. He meets Lily when he is representing an investor group who wants to buy into the gym chain.

"This isn't flirting", he responds with a sexy grin.
"It's not? Then what would you call it?"
His eyes glimmer. "Foreplay"

Lily knows Jax wants to make a deal. But is there more there? Is this more than a monetary investment for Jax?

My business is far from done here, Angel.

Lots can go wrong in business deals and in life. There are crazy ex's, crazier fathers, championship fights, nude models, not so controlled sparing, fancy diners, and some seriously sexy talk.

I loved the first two in this series. You do not have to read them in order. Ms Keeland knows how to write some Alpha Males that you want to spend more time with.

I was so excited when I found out Jax was getting his own book. Unfortunately I struggled to finish this book.

Jax was the perfect Hero. He was basically delicious! The Three star rating is solely for him.

 photo tumblr_ljb1zobzo31qdwkzy_zpsfc97cc6c.gif

HARSH COMMENTS AHEAD - READ AT YOUR OWN RISK:

I admit I struggle with stories where the heroine lacks any common sense. This describes Lily. While initially liking her spunky yet vulnerable personality, as the book moved on Lily's stupidity made it hard to cheer for her HEA. Basically I spent a lot of time yelling at my kindle.

 photo tumblr_m6vqh3yR2C1r9piwi_zps38ea9df4.gif

Jax and Lily together was very cute. They had serious chemistry and loved their banter. Unfortunately when the conflict was revealed, it could have gone two ways and Lily taking on the personality of a teenage girl having a temper tantrum because she's having a bad hair day was a bit over the top. I felt for Jax. The ending seemed to have come rather quickly but I needed Lily to have had to work harder to win back Jax because of her ridiculous behavior.

Minus my issues above, having Vince and Jax together was a great way to end their story. The epilogue was cute and wrapped up the series with a pretty bow.

STOPPED AT 55%

I adored this series - Nico & Vince, and Jax Knight was right there. He was the only reason I tried to continue but sadly the mood is not kicking in well for me to continue.

Only one reason LILY - the dumb ass heroine - she really hits my nerves. I will try it again but not now.

Genre: CR
Sensuality: X

Gym owner meets a businessman who fights on the side.

There are some who say that this was the least of this trilogy of MMA romances but IMO, they were all about the same: likable and sexy, and less polished than the author's later works.

I think there will be some who will say that there were too many sex scenes; there were a lot in the middle, one after the other, but I didnt mind. What I minded more was the Big Betrayal and how amateurishly it was handled. It really stuck out to me.

Rating: 3.5

(I received and ARC for a honest review)

OMG where do I begin. I'm so in love with this series. This latest edition and it's FANTASTIC. When I reached the end of this book I found my self smiling uncontrollably and chanting Jax ,Jax ,Jax.
Jackson Knight is the perfect mixture of ALPHA male and perfect gentleman. I really feel sorry for the men in the next book I pick up. I will be comparing them to Jax and that's just not fair to them. I will be feeling the effects of a fabulous book hangover for days.

Worth Forgiving really is a brilliant love story filled with it all. You go through an array of emotions as their story unfolds. You will feel love, anger , fear , hatred and a connection so HOT you may need to read in front of a fan.
This is so much more than a love story. You have so many people who play parts of their journey some you may not like. There were parts of this book that had me on the edge of my seat holding my breath. Hoping and praying that justice would prevail. Then we have the parts of this book that just made me heart swell rounded out with some things that just made you breath a little heavier and looking forward to what was going to happen next. They had a amazing connection that was more then just passion. Jax and Lily are perfect fit.

So let me conclude by saying if you haven't started this series yet, WHAT ARE YOU WATING FOR? Worth The Fight is first and Nico will not disappoint , Worth the Chance is next and Vince Stone will leave you wanting more , Worth Forgiving is up next and Jax has made a play for the top spot in my heart.
Vi Keeland truly is a phenomenal author who grabs ahold of you with chapter one and never let's go.

W--O--W!!!!!!

What an amazing piece of work Vi has done!!! It doesn't surprise me because anything she writes is amazing!!!

I was given an ARC of Worh Forgiving for exchange of an honest review.

This is one of my top 2014 books. It was fricken spectacular!!!!

I just LOVE, wait let me make sure you understand that I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE JAX!!!!!!!! He was just OMG!!!!!

I love Jax and Lily's story, they were just amazing together.

Caden, is a scumbag, and I knew it from the beginning, but what he did was un-forgivable!!!!

Jackson was so smooth, and handled everything so perfect, just like him perfect!!!!

I just knew it was Jax that purchased that painting. I mean how can he not, I knew in that moment of the book he had already fallen in deep!!

And let's not forget the best friend Reed, what a fricken hoot he is! I could see myself hanging with someone like him. I would probably always be laughing!!! There is nothing like a great friend, and that's exactly what he was.

And then the Epilogue was to die for!!!!!

I will read this book again, in fact all of them, because it was that great. I enjoyed the way you still read about the other characters from the previous books, it keeps them alive as well, and also makes you miss them that much more, lol.

Thank you Vi for your trust in me to give me an ARC, and for another awesome book!!!

I would have loved this story if Lily had not been such a spineless (at times TSTL) leading lady. Jax deserved better. He was awesome. Lily was not horrible, but she really should have dealt with Caden better.

worth forgiving teaser (1)

Worth Forgiving is the 3rd book in Vi Keeland’s MMA Fighter series.  This is the final book in the series, and the one I was most looking forward to.  Jackson “Jax” Knight finally got his story - and my oh my, what a delicious, dynamite story it is!  Jax is a unique character, with a background that’s intriguing as well as life changing.  The paths, choices, decisions of others have helped lead him on his own journey, a journey that has him leaving his home in Washington D.C. and travelling to New York City to train at a new gym and explore new opportunities.  I loved that we got a glimpse into who Jax was before he arrived in New York, his character was a bundle of complications and contradictions - the “pretty boy” fighter that was harboring a kickass, sexy, caveman style fighter under his tailored suits and expensive lifestyle.  It just made him that much more drool worthy when he released the sexy, dirty talking alpha male that made my lady parts stand up and cheer.

the “pretty boy” fighter that was harboring a kickass, sexy, caveman style fighter

Lily St. Claire is a young, vulnerable girl struggling to find her way after the death of her father.  An MMA champion, fondly known “The Saint,” he was her rock, her everything.  After he passes away, she is left as co-owner of his legacy - his chain of gyms.  Not an easy feat, and with the looming retirement of her partner in the business, she finds herself in need of an investor - and fast.  Lily’s character had me a bit confused, I have to admit.  On the one hand - she seemed to have such sassiness and spark, on the other, she made some frustrating choices that at times, didn’t seem to make a lot of sense.  As the book progressed, it did all seem to tie together, as more of her past struggles are revealed.

forbidden fruit has never looked so good, all wrapped up in tight workout shorts

Jax and Lily first cross paths at Ralley’s, the gym that Lily is desperate to save from becoming a chain like all other sport complexes.  Ralley’s meant something to her father, and keeping the business running the way he envisioned is Lily’s top priority.  Upon learning that Jax is in town not only to train with one of the gym’s top trainers, but also to meet with her and her partner, on behalf of his business Knight Investments - Jax immediately becomes off limits.  Forbidden fruit has never looked so good, all wrapped up in tight workout shorts, or a crisp, pressed dress shirt.  Lily is exquisite to Jax, she’s beautiful, captivating and he’s instantly attracted to her.  Ignoring her walls and her strict “no-business-mixing-with-pleasure” rules, he relentless pursues her - he’s determined to rid her of her insecurities and get a glimpse at all she’s keeping hidden from him.

his manliness, his admirable qualities and his goddamn sexy nature

There’s just one small problem in their game of cat and mouse.  And his name is Caden.  An obsessive, manipulative ex - he is not a man that takes no for an answer.  Lily’s attempts to break things off with him are simply unacceptable to him.  She is his possession in every way, and he will stop at nothing to remind her of who the man in her life is - and in his eyes, it’s never going to be Jax.  Lily’s apparent fear of Caden awakens Jax’s protective nature, and when that side of him comes out, man did I swoon! Jax shows his manliness, his admirable qualities and his goddamn sexy nature while defending Lily, and it was a side of him I loved.

angst, romance, suspense and a hell of a lot of sexy ass MMA fighters

These two encounter their share of obstacles while exploring a relationship, Caden not being the only thing standing in their way.  I enjoyed the way the book flowed, and how Vi Keeland intricately brought in characters from the previous books.  I thought that was a great addition to a story that was full of angst, romance, suspense and a hell of a lot of sexy ass MMA fighters.  Who wouldn’t love a book with all that?

Jax Knight - the man who will make you look twice at the “pretty boy.”  A fact you won’t regret ;)

I first met Jackson Knight back in "Worth the Chance" his connection to Vince completely shocking me. Despite only a brief introduction to this man though, what I saw, I really liked and so when I discovered he was getting the third and final book in Vi Keeland's "MMA Fighters" series, I may just a squealed a little!!! "Worth Forgiving" was quite a quick read that was fun, flirty and oh so very dirty with just the right mix of seriousness to give it that edge that kept me reading.
A relationship that starts on a lie is riddled for failure.

Lily St Claire didn't mix business with pleasure. It was a rule she'd broken only once and she was still paying heavily for it in the form of an ex who just didn't seem to take no for an answer. To make matters worse, he was the nephew of her business partner Joe and so not only did he work at the chain of gyms she co owned but he also trained there too... yup he was a MMA fighter!!!! Caden was a complete dick!!! He was aggressive, controlling and even stalkerish and I couldn't stand him. I really felt for Lily because she truly was stuck between a rock and a hard place. She felt guilty because when her father had died, it was Caden who had been there to help pick up the pieces, to support her in her hour of need. So she tried to be nice, doing her best not to make matters worse. She even offered the hand of friendship once the relationship had turned south but Caden was having none of it.

Jackson Knight was still reeling from the fallout of his father's sordid past. Thrust in to the media lime light because of it, his life was no longer his own and he hated it. I saw such a different side to his character and it was truly heart breaking. Here was a man who had sacrificed his own dreams of being a MMA fighter for the sake of his family only for it to be thrown back in his face.
It's the first time in more than six months that I feel like I'm going in the right direction. Hell, it's the first time in a very long time, I feel like I have any direction.
Looking into a new business opportunity, Jax found himself at Lily's gym... the rest as they say is history because from the minute their eyes locked, he was well and truly smitten. I loved the shift in his demeanor. At first he appeared a little cocky and maybe a touch arrogant but actually, that couldn't have been further from the truth. I loved Jax's playful, teasing manner. Add to the equation a hot, sweaty MMA fighter's body(yes he used the gym to train too), his good looks and the fact that he was a gentleman in every way possible (except in the bedroom) and my hormones went haywire. Holy crap this man really was all kinds of hotness and when he opened his mouth in the bedroom.... it was pure and utter filth!!!(my oh my did I blush).
"Are you always such a flirt?" I tilt my head and ask coyly
"This isn't flirting," he responds with a sexy grin.
"It's not? Then what would you call it?"
His eyes glimmer. "Foreplay."

But things are never quite so simple and I knew that with the rule Lily had in place plus an ex that just wouldn't disappear and a meddling senator hell bent on controlling his son's life, things would get a whole lot worse before they got better and I was right.

"Worth the Fight" was a fantastic conclusion to the "MMA Fighters Series." It had characters that were easily likable, a slow building romance that had me itching for a kiss (and then so much more... yup I got greedy) and the sex... holy cow did Jax know what to do with those fingers!!!! The unexpected twists were fab and the fight at the end... ouch!!! I loved it. I would have liked to have seen a little more of Nico and Vince though, I think more so because this was the final book and I'd be bidding my boys a fond farewell but alas it wasn't meant to be.
"Have you ever been in love?"
"I thought I was once. But I realise now that I wasn't really."
"Have you?"
"I think so. Every day I become more sure."

All in all, a fab addition to series and I rated it 4 Hearts.

*Update 9/1 - Full review now posted.

What can I say? Vi Keeland owns this genre as far as I am concerned.

I LOVE this series and am sad it has come to an end, but what an ending!!

I loved Jax. We met him in Worth the Chance, Vince'a story and he made such an impression on me that I was thrilled he was getting his own story. There was just so much to him and more Jax was definitely needed.

Aside from he fact he is swoon worthy, gorgeous, tough, and sensitive. A dirty talker that had me blushing, with a longing to fight in the ring. He was also a polite, well mannered, highly educated business man, that you just knew there was so much more to him beneath the surface.

He was enveloped in the pain of his father's skeletons, the hurt of his mother looking the other way, and the shattered illusion of what he thought his life was. A man who idolized and wanted to please his father, only to have that crumble before his eyes when the realization of who his father really was came to light.

Jax comes to New York to start over. To escape the pain and embarrassment. To do what he has always wanted to do. To fight.

He meets Lily who is the daughter of a former fighter and part owner of the gym Jax starts working out in. A girl who grew up around the business and around fighting. Once Jax set's his eyes on her, that's it, he wants her and will stop at nothing to have her.

Jax and Lily had some amazing chemistry and the sex scenes were HOT and STEAMY. Vi Keeland really knows how to write the smexiness.

The story was fast paced, romantic, hot, and action packed. A great final story to an amazing series.

I highly recommend this series. Each story was better than the last, and Vi's men are just heart stopping, pantie dropping, viral alpha men that will have you swooning and gasping for breath!

First off, thank you Vi for the amazing ARC!

Secondly, this book... Dear lord hot heaven in hallelujah hotness of steam, this book was awesome. I inhaled this book so fast that I read it in under three hours. Simply amazing.

Vi did it again, taking my mind away from reality and making me feel like I was living this book. And it also involved Liv and Vince too!!

Lily, this girl, tough, daddy's girl, artist, quiet, gets to meet Mcsteamy Pretty Boy Jax :) I don't want to give the book away but let's just say this book was romantic, hot, psycho crazy, full of testosterone and absolutely addicting. So many crazy things happened in this story that it made the book feel like a roller coaster of craziness and made the book move along fast that I was like. "Wait, what?! I'm finished!! This is the end?!??" I think 100 more pages would have been better ;)

seriously loved this book.
Makes me feel like forgiving those who I don't think deserve it, but everyone does deserve forgiveness... Except Caden. He does not.

I did it. I Read the MMA Fighter trilogy by Vi Keeland in less than 5 days. I have to say, this one is the one that I enjoyed the most. Jax is amazing. And the things he did for Lily, just #Goals.

I didn't did a review of the previous two books, because frankly, I feel like there is nothing much to say about this trilogy in general. All three books are cute NA sports romance novels. Perfect for a quick read. And, well, Vi Keeland knows how to write men. Oh yeah.

So if you're in the mood for an easy-to-read and relaxed romance novel, check this out.
